Beautiful warm clean accommodation . The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Bathroom was large, very clean and hot water. Julie left us a wide choice of breakfast including vegan, lovely. Very private and quiet, parking. Attention to detail was great “sheep” .

Easy enough to find, friendly host and clean comfy bedroom. Beautiful views and a relaxing stay.

Hannah and her husband are very welcoming. The place is lovely and so peaceful! We will come back if we have the opportunity.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Bank House Farm... treading in the steps of the Swallows and Amazons! The farm house is beautiful, quirky, and historic all at once. We ate in the restaurant where the food is absolutely fabulous, of a very high standard and totally delicious. The meat is reared just there on the farm and it was fantastic to know its local origin. Nothing was too much trouble - when the restaurant was closed, Ross the Chef left us generous sharing platters for our evening meal, and we went off every day with an equally generous packed lunch! We will definitely be back again! Hopefully better weather next time though!

My son and I had a glorious break at Bank Ground Farm. The weather was typically Cumbrian, but we felt so at home this just enforced a much needed rest and down time. We were very comfortable, Jonathon and his staff were so friendly and accommodating, and our fabulous veggie breakfasts were the cherry on the cake. Thankyou so much guys, we'll be back!

Johnathon was such a warm, welcoming host. We booked at short notice but everything was ready and perfect when we got there. It’s a beautiful place with amazing views. Great communication and special touches

First time to the Lakes District and we found Sarah & Dan very accommodating and informative. Good location to lots of destinations and breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Lovely, good sized clean room with modern en-suite bathroom. Powerful, proper shower (not one of those pathetic electric affairs!). Breakfast was perfect and plentiful and we had breakfast room to ourselves. (Host informed us that they now usually only have one of the two rooms booked at any one time. Accordingly, guests can normally have the breakfast room to themselves.) We were more than welcome to bring back takeaway fish and chips one night to eat in this room with plates and cutlery provided! (Can recommend Shap chippy!) Host was lovely - so friendly and not at all intrusive. A great location for walking.

Karen's house is so peaceful and so welcoming - feels like staying at my own house.. She is responsive, looks after requirement and especially her homemade Breakfasts are to yummy.

Fiona was a lovely host, nothing was too much trouble. The Bedroom and en suite were very pleasing. Lots of extras that Fiona has thought about were appreciated. Can definitely recommend a stay here

Had a peaceful nights sleep, Jacqueline and Geoff are friendly warm welcoming hosts. And Geoffs home made granola was heavenly, thank you so so much. The room was warm cosy perfect 💚✨🌳

Expect to be spoiled with fabulous brekkies and good value Packed lunches (if wanted). Bedrooms clean and well presented with everything you need on hand. Nothing too much trouble for Angela. Also Countryside beautiful in this whole area. Definitely recommend a stay at this comfortable home from home.

Very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings overlooking Crummock Water. 15 minute walk by the lake and along a brook to Buttermere for several eating places, or two minutes by car. Jules provided us with fantastic breakfasts which set us up for the day. Would highly recommend Wood House. Ideal for those who want to get away for a quiet retreat with comfort and good food.

Had the most fantastic time here. Adam and Symone were the perfect hosts and made our experience so lovely with all their attention to detail. From the communication pre arrival to the wonderful breakfasts in the morning (homemade compote was a highlight), everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend it for your next trip to the lakes!

Great 1 night getaway above Heidi’s cafe. Great central location to start and end walks in the area. Good communication and instructions from Emma to get into the property. Car parking extra but plenty nearby (£10 for 24 hrs). Lovely quirky room with a balcony (rm 6). Really good breakfast with very helpful staff (Craig). Gluten free catered for, for my wife. The only addition which would make the room perfect would be a small fridge. Will be back at some point in the near future. Thank you.

Tony is a kind, reliable, and responsive host who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The house is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished, creating a warm and comfortable environment. Its location is ideal: just a 10-minute walk from both the train and main bus stations, which makes it a perfect base for exploring the Lake District. We especially enjoyed not having to worry about breakfast each morning before heading off early on our new adventures. Special highlights were spending time with Smudge, Tony’s adorable and playful kitten, and admiring Tony's latest pottery creations. We’d gladly stay here again without hesitation!

I arrived earlier than check in just to advise that I was actually there and was not a no show due to me not returning till late that night. I was given my keys and had immediate access to the room and a quick drink in the bar before I went to do my thing . A lovely place to come home to with friendly locals in the bar while I was having a nightcap :-)

we stayed at Liz and Edwards farm which was one of the most memorable experience. The place was tastefully decorated by Liz who had been an amazing, helpful and kind host serving up delicious cakes and breakfast each day, making sure we start the day right! She was extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit as well as showed us around her beautiful farm. One of the best bnb's i have stayed at and would definitely visit back when visiting the lake district. The farm gets covered by a blanket of stars at night, an ideal location for a peaceful holiday!

Marianne es molt amable i comunicativa L habitacio es un espai molt agradable i la casa molt acollidora, plena de detalls que fan que estiguis en una llar molt comoda. Marianne ens va oferir una esmorzar fantastic va ser respectuosa i es va interessar en les nostres inquietuts. Per nosaltres un dels millors llocs on hem passat la nit. Un 10 per Marianne.

The wife and I stayed here over Easter long weekend and we were blown away! Liz is such a great host and the house is situated on a sheep farm which is close enough to town should you need but ideal for a private getaway. The property forms part of the Dale Way which is fantastic as a stopping point if you're the hiking sort like we are. Liz was on point with cleaning up our rooms each day, cooking us brekky and had many good ideas and recommendations for places for dinner or places to explore. We will definitely add this to our list of places to travel back to, especially when in the Lake District again. Can't rate anything down, truly a 10/10. Thank you Liz, we loved it!
