Overall, it was a nice place to stay to get away from the hustle of everyday life. The team was very easy to access and eager to assist as needed.

Stephanie & Bruce's home was perfect for our visit to Big Bend. The home is somewhat remote, but still close to town (considering the area). The instructions provided were clear and the home was exactly as described. As some others have mentioned, the last road to the home is a little rough, but not problematic (I drive F-250). I would recommend a truck, Jeep, or full size SUV if you plan to book. As far as the home itself, you cannot go wrong with this property.

We had a great stay at Pool House #2! Perfect space for two couples! House was clean and had a bedroom and bath on opposite sides of the house which afforded each couple some privacy. The location was great for our daily hikes in Big Bend! The restaurants in Terlingua were great too! The outside was so quiet and it has amazing star viewing! Definitely recommend!

We traveled to 5 national parks over the course of 10 days for spring break, and my 8 and 5 year old both ranked Daryl's place as their favorite part of the trip. Needless to say, they were big fans of the pool table and having a TV in their room! Daryl's place was perfect for our family - centrally located to Big Bend and Terlingua, clean, spacious, and had a nice assortment of games for the kids/adults to play. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning from the porch and mapping out the constellations at night. Wonderful place - we would absolutely stay again.

We received a warm welcome from Ingrid when we arrived. Walking in the Spirit Room is a bit like walking into a museum - every object seems to have a story to tell! The neighbourhood is very quiet and it's a fantastic spot for watching the stars.

The rock house is the perfect peaceful getaway from city living. Sit on the front porch and listen to the bird songs of cactus wrens and curve-billed thrashers in the trees. Sunsets behind the mountain range to the west were absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for hosting, hope to be back soon!

We had a delightful stay at Calle Ocho. Annette is a gracious host. Very helpful and always quick to respond. The house is blocks from the heart of Alpine and is delightfully updated and comfortable. There are plenty of plugs for charging devices and the Wi-Fi is strong. The fully furnished kitchen and laundry area helped us feel right at home. We hope to stay here again next time we visit the Big Bend!

We loved the place. Russell was very friendly and responsive. It was an easy check in process and the place worked perfectly for our needs.

Karen’s home was absolutely wonderful for our family stay. It looks just like the photos, it is thoughtfully appointed, and was a great homebase for our West Texas explorations. We had our two young children with us and the house worked super well for our family. Also, Karen is one of the most responsive and kind hosts I’ve encountered. We will be back to stay again if it’s not booked up!

Stayed at Aubrey's place for a family trip to visit Big Bend National Park (While I'm down for camping, apparently my teenagers think it's a form of punishment). The entire family had plenty of room to spread out, enjoy the creature comforts, and with the well appointed kitchen and grill, we were able to eat most of our meals in. Aubrey was super responsive, and a great host! Will stay here again on my next trip to BBNP!

Christopher was proactive in helping us check in and was incredibly welcoming during our whole stay. I appreciate the thought he put into checking in and out. The place was clean and cozy. Would definitely stay here again if we came back!

This is a great location to explore Alpine and Brewster County, day drives to Marfa, Davis Mountains, Terlingua, and the National Park are easy from here. I've stayed at this house 5 times, very comfortable inside and out. Kathleen is a great hostess. The house is well equipped, kitchen, laundry, entertainment, two nice bedrooms.

His place was well appointed, had lots of character and the location was convenient, quiet and comfortable.

We had a great time. Home was clean and instructions easy to follow. Make sure to read host notes (sent ahead of time). Visiting Big Bend NP and relaxing on the covered porch after hikes and day of travels. Entrance into Big Bend NP is just minutes away however park is large so expect to drive 30 min or more to any destination inside park. During our visit time we had no issues with lines into park, also parking at the Lost mine trailhead was congested but we had seen open spots after 1pm. If you want to hike this trail either get there real early (like 7am) or in the afternoon after 1pm or later. We did not see any issues with parking at other locations in the park. Grocery store is minutes away, same with gas station. Road is unpaved so be prepared for some dust. We had 2 major storms coming through in the nights we stayed, building hold up well but make sure not to leave any items outside as they could be blown away. We will stay here again in our next visit.

Super responsive host. House is comfortable and well stocked. Appreciated details like a small bench in the bathroom and plenty of towels and TP. Kitchen has everything. House is 20 minutes from the highway so if quiet is what you are looking for, it’s got it. Enjoyed the front and back porches with comfy chairs on both. Comfortable furniture in the living room, too. Lots of throw blankets… Really well stocked house.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, just like the pictures. Plenty of towels and sheets. Appropriate kitchen amenities. The view was outstanding - both day and night. Proximity to Terlingua, the state park, and the national park were great. The hostess had excellent recommendations for food and activities. I highly recommend visiting Canyon House.

It was such an amazing experience to stay here! Perfect location and super easy to find. It's actually a double wide, so it was very roomy and comfortable. Brand new and very modern - we could even flush the toilet paper lol! The tiled shower with hot water was such a relaxing relief. We also enjoyed watching a few movies on the comfy couch in the living area. The stove top worked great for cooking dinners and breakfasts. Beds are comfy, and fans in all the rooms helped to moderate the temperature. We hardly had to use the A/C but glad it was there! It was also quite windy during our stay, but we were so safe inside the container. We felt very lucky to have this chance to stay. The night skies were unbelievable, as were the morning sunrises. Hope we can return again very soon. Thanks again to the hosts for being so accommodating!!

The Lucky 5 was a great choice for our family. It’s about an hour and a half to the Big Bend park entrance, but we appreciated have a house with plenty of space, a full kitchen, and nice outdoor area. The bedrooms and bathrooms were tidy and look like the pictures. I wish we could have used the fire pit outside, but it was a bit too windy during our stay. I highly recommend Lucky 5!

There in no place in this area that provides the amount of creature comforts, privacy, star gazing, desert views, and desert vibes than this place does (remember this is in the middle of nowhere with very limited civilization in close proximity). The house is located close enough to terligua ghost town (about 7 miles) where you can find coffee shops, food, gift shops and other things to do. It is about 10 miles away from Big Bend National Park entrance. The house is private, quiet, clean, well kept and comfortable. The internet worked well, even out on the star gazing deck. Speaking of the star gazing deck, if you are looking for a place where you can sit/lay comfortably outside and look up to the heavens, while only being a short 10 yard walk from your fully stocked kitchen THIS IS IT. We spent countless hours on this deck just soaking it all in. We will 100% be staying here again for our next big bend trip.

Marci's house is a great place to stay if you're heading to Big Bend National Park -- it's about a 45-minute drive from the home to the main gate. And what a cool home this is! It felt like hanging out at a cool friend's house, and we greatly enjoyed the chairs set up outside facing the mountains (and really pretty sunsets). Amenities are a little sparse and this is a home that has been well lived in, but everything is clean and full of character. At the price, it's a great value. We'd love to come back and visit again!
