We loved our little ‘babymoon’ in this gorgeous cottage! The location is a great base for exploring the Sunshine Coast hinterland. My favourite areas are Montville, Maleny, Kenilworth and Eumundi, all within a 10-30 min drive. Could also head down to the beaches (if the weather suits!) Alternatively it’s a great location if you’re looking to stay indoors to rest and recharge. Couch is super comfy, there are great views, a smart TV, deep bathtub, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. If you don’t feel like cooking, the recommended pizza place nearby is excellent. The hosts are super responsive and thoughtful, and provided clear instructions on how to find and get into the cottage, plus recommendations for the area and some chocolates on arrival which was lovely! One and only criticism is that the house had a bit of a smell and a few critters around - but this is likely due to all the wet weather so there’s not really much that can be done about that!

5/5 Stars Absolutely stunning! We just spent 3 nights at this incredible absolute waterfront property in Caloundra and can't rave enough about it! The location is unbeatable - literally steps from the water's edge, and just a short stroll to the cinema, Sunday markets, and a variety of top-notch restaurants. The property itself is beautifully appointed, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We can't wait to come back and do it all again! Highly, highly recommend this amazing place to anyone looking for a special Sunshine Coast getaway.

A beautiful and stylish cabin for a romantic getaway. Everything in the cabin was very well thought out and delightful to engage with. The cabin was certainly cosy and the surrounding area was tranquil. Holly is an exceptional host!

The property was immaculate, even more magical than in the pictures. Very well maintained. Stunning views. Lots of amenities including fire pit, and a private bath under the stars. 15mins from amazing restaurants in Maleny. It is the ultimate couples retreat. Kate was an incredible host. 10/10 would stay again.

We loved our weekend away at this property. The view of the rolling hills is very restful and the house is tastefully styled. Loved the magnesium plunge pool and the quiet surroundings. Great spot to relax and recharge.

Imagine a beautifully appointed, dream cabin in the woods with sunken spa bath, flowing creek below that lulls you to sleep, a hammock on the veranda where you can relax with a glass of wine and listen to the birds discuss the wonders of the lush rainforest that surrounds you. Think of a place where you see only wildlife and if the whole retreat was at capacity it would still be a handful of people in a handful of cabins that you never even see. Picture a warm welcome with breakfast hamper and cheese platter and croissants delivered daily to your cabin by a magic invisible and silent rainforest spirit that leaves them fresh for you to enjoy. Consider a selection of wine and spirits available on site along with bbq hampers and other niceties that you can cook on your outdoor bbq whilst the bush turkeys look on hopefully. Hold your loved one in front of the fireplace and listen to the night whisper “relax”, “forget”, “unwind”, “just be”.

Elsie’s Cottage was a wonderful place to temporarily call home. You enter the peaceful tree-lined driveway leading to the house to then be greeted by a magnificent view from the carport. Once inside new meets old where luxurious modern comforts are beautifully balanced by nostalgic antique furniture and decorations in every room. The bathrooms are well-stocked, the bedrooms private, and the wi-fi excellent. Sarah was attentive and friendly, with personal touches aimed at making one’s stay comfort evident everywhere e.g. providing a picnic basket and mat which we enjoyed taking out into the spacious front yard to sit and admire the garden. Definitely recommend!

Amazing stay, view and scenery are unreal and the house is beautiful also. Carolyn is an awesome host! Ps. You’ve gotta try their Wagyu, to die for!
