What a gem of a find! We came to Gilwern for a weekend without our children and were able to run, cycle and hike really easily from here. The cabin is beautiful, the views are amazing, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Beth was really attentive and really helpful (and runs an amazing shop and cafe in Abergevany which we discovered on the last day). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and really hope we get a chance to stay there again!

I absolutely can recommend this place! Cosy, cute, you have everything you need for recharge. The hottub was also clean and the garden is cute. Denise was amazing, she was always friendly, and left us welcome gift, what was super sweet 😊 She answered quickly and give us perfect instructions for everything. We loved everything about it! 😍

Sara & Mark are communicative and friendly. 5* Hosts. Check in was quick and easy with no faff. The location was easy to find and had good parking. I have a large estate car and had no issues parking it. Sara included what3words for directions which I wish more hosts would do! We enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful, quiet, secluded and beautiful views. Will stay here again if we visit this part of the UK again. No downsides, all good and just as the description said it would be. :-) Happy guests!

The place was so much bigger than we expected, the decking area had so many different spots to sit in to catch the sun with plenty of lovely outdoor furniture. The view of the woods was amazing especially when in the private hot tub. The cabin is beautifully decorated, spacious and clean, I loved everything about it. The bathroom was another level for me. If there is only one thing and it is only a personal preference and certainly not a complaint, the hot tub was a little too hot but once it cooled down it was perfect. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you Melanie 😌

My partner and I booked Daisy Lodge as our base whilst exploring the Brecon Beacons. With only being a ten minute drive to Abergavenny, we found it to be perfect. The lodge was in a secluded countryside setting with incredible views (pictures don’t do it justice). The hot tub was just what we were after - the perfect wind down after our hikes around the national park. Justin and Claire were very prompt to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend Daisy Lodge to anyone seeking a relaxing break.

Mini Corner is a little gem! It's the perfect little retreat if you've planned to hike up Pen Y Fan, with a car park just 4 minutes drive (35min walk). The caravan itself is clean and perfectly laid out with everything you need for your stay. The alpacas and miniature shetlands as neighbours just top it off, not to mention the unbelievably beautiful view over the reservoir. Felicity was very quick to answer any questions I had and the fresh eggs were delicious! If you are looking for a scenic, peaceful stay, I couldn't recommend Far From highly enough.

A compact cabin in a perfect location, with lovely surroundings, good for dogs and all that you need for your stay.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the Little Lodge. Kirsty was a very helpful and knowledgeable host who ensured our stay was very enjoyable. The Lodge has everything you would need for a short stay, the only improvement I would suggest although it by no means detracts from a very lovely stay would be a small print out with the location of the switches to turn different things on, the shower and hot water for example. The whole lodge is very cosy and beautifully adorned with tasteful decorations and subtle lighting. there is also a folder packed full of useful maps and Information, although to be fair Kirsty had already advised us of some great pubs and restaurants as well as a set of instructions for the lodge. The location is a little out the way, but everything from local walks, pubs and shops are a very short drive away. Thank you for having us, we would happily return and recommend to others.

Lovely place,perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle.Newtown is 5 min drive with lovely shops and walks. Lloyd and Maggie were so friendly and accommodating,we would highly recommend staying here... very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds... Awoke to a lovely view of an alpaca, very calm and quiet location

Another lovley stay at Darren and Lindsay's place. This time it was the cabin which is my favourite. Extremely private, fabulous views. Place was exceptionally clean with everything you need. Hot tub literally just outside sliding doors. Gorgeous deep bath and fab shower. Grateful for bottle of wine too 😌 100% will stay again

We absolutely loved our stay at Woolly Wood cabins. Peaceful surroundings in nature, comfortable beds, amazing hot tub and great clear sky to watch the stars. 100% will be back. Thank you Myles for a great staycation.

Fantastic place. Lodge is very well equipped and spacious. Fantastic hot tube and sauna with great views. Huge bonus that is under cover! Dogs loved it as much as us. Would love to come back in summer months when you get to enjoy garden a bit more! There is everything you need! We left our Nintendo switch and Pam rang straight away and posted it back to us! Thank you again for a great stay. We’ll be definitely back as soon as we can x

We stayed for 3 days and were lucky with beautiful blue skies and sunshine. First impressions, a lovely walk into through spring flowering bulbs, and when we turned the corner to the Cabin- Wow! what a view. Lovely having a veranda to sit on, and we were very happy to have two lazy mornings reading and enjoying the woodburner,coffee and magnificent views. Enjoyed a beautiful walk up on to the Hergest ridge- time it with a visit to the gardens and coffee shop on the way down. And a very muddy walk, heading down to the local village- wellies/gaiters recommended if it been wet. We didn't get to meet the owner, Georgie, but she was warm in her welcome, very helpful with advice and prompt in replying to messages. The cabin felt a labour of love and we much appreciated its charm, design and thoughtfulness. Thankyou

We had a great time in this beautiful airbnb. It was so peaceful and surrounded by nature. Rowan was a good host.

We had such a lovely overnight stay at the Wagon. Gorgeous location - the path to the village was too muddy but we drove & parked & did the village loop walk which was very peaceful. The heater was on upon arrival which was a nice touch, and overall the Wagon was incredibly well thought out & well equipped - salt, pepper, shower products & a small bottle of milk. The only issue we had was not receiving information regarding how to check in/ where the key was - and there was no wifi/ service. Overall a fab stay and we’ll be back in summer to enjoy the outdoor area properly! :)

We had an amazing weekend stay. The cabin was brilliant, exactly as described and beautifully clean with everything you could wish for. It's so peaceful and in a fantastic location for Zip World, the waterfalls and the Brecon Beacons. Kim and Neil were so responsible to my questions beforehand and we had the pleasure of meeting them when leaving. What a lovely couple and so friendly. We will absolutely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending this place. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay x

Absolutely lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The views from the cabin were beautiful and it was the peaceful and secluded getaway that we were looking for. The hot tub, pizza oven and fire pit were all brilliant and Vicky and Craig explained how to work everything. I also really liked the little added extras such as giant marshmallow's for toasting at the fire pit and the hot chocolate, mini prosecco and big bag of local crisps left inside the cabin as a welcome treat. We would definitely be returning in the future and want to thank Vicky and Craig for their hospitality and a special thanks to Vicky for explaining all about the Alpaca's whilst she let us be with them whilst having their feed!

Angela was a great host and has clearly put a lot of effort into the railway carriages. We had a lovely stay and the place was very clean and comfortable. A beautiful view to wake up to!

The cabin was phenomenal. David was so welcoming, helpful, and responsive. Such a dog friendly place and the food in the cafe was amazing.

Lavender lodge was the perfect getaway for a quiet NYE. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed its surroundings and amenities. It was easy to access with additional directions from Alison prior to arrival. Thank you Alison.
