We’re had a delightful week at Matt’s property in downtown Bristol. I was visiting my daughter who attends RWU. The location was perfect for quick trips to campus and early morning walks on the waterfront. The location was great and the property perfect for our needs. It’s always great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer. It may be our favorite Bristol Airbnb!

We were in town for only 1 night and Yen's place worked perfectly for the 3 of us. The apartment is on the upper floor of an older house but is in great shape and very clean. The kitchen has all the basics to make a meal and there are a few pantry items in the cupboards. We stayed in mid-March and didn't need the air conditioning or have to adjust the heat and it was very comfortable. There are 35 stairs to reach the apartment that turn a couple times before arriving at the apartment door, which could be a hinderance for people with mobility issues, but they are well maintained and well lit, so not a problem otherwise. Yen's directions were clear and when we needed to reach him, he was quick to respond. Would stay there again.

Excellent apartment, very clean. The amenities were welcomed, some of which were the extra mile. One of the best rentals I/we have used. The only negative is that with the one bed being so high, a chair would have been very useful. We will probably be back here next year for the Concours and would like to stay here again. Thank you

I can see why Marianne is a super host! Her place is exactly how she describes but cozier. She had everything we needed to feel right at home and even stocked the kitchen with some thoughtful items like milk, oj and cereal. The apartment was much more spacious than we expected and even had an extra half bath which was very convenient. There were plenty of comfortable places to sit and lots of space to unpack. We love the location because it was as easy to get to Newport as it was to Portsmouth. There's a well renowned French bakery about a quarter of a mile away and the local’s favorite coffee shop is less than half a mile away. The apartment felt very private but Marianne was always available if we had a question. Best of both worlds!

Really wonderful time and would love to come back. I was in town visiting my brother and his wife and children, the location was walking distance from their home and the town / water, which was wonderful. Everything was easy, the home was perfect, and I’d absolutely recommend and return when in town! Looking forward to staying here again when I visit next time!

This was a great spot for us. It was easy to get in and out and explore around. We really enjoyed the use of this apartment, it met all our needs, was clean and tidy and had all we could ask for. We enjoyed getting to explore around the town and were appreciative of the helpful guidebook that was provided in the apartment. She was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed talking with her as we came and went during our time. The neighborhood is a cool area that we enjoyed exploring. This spot helped make our trip a great one.

Paul was awesome to work with super responsive. The location was AMAZING walking distance to everything you could possibly need. We will for sure be back again!

It is an unbelievably beautiful location and the place is well-kept. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking to be near nature and the Boston area.

We were so happy with the rental and wish we could have stayed longer! The views are wonderful, especially the sunset, and you can see water from just about everywhere in the house. It was also spotless. Usually homes near the beach you find sand in some places, but I was impressed how clean it was. My husband and I both found the master bed super comfortable. It was freezing cold so we didn’t get any time to enjoy the decks, but the morning we were leaving we were able to stop at the water for the kids to find some shells. My two young kids keep asking to go back to ‘the new beach house’. Easy drive to West Island in the summer and close to some restaurants & New Bedford downtown is not far for even more options. Would love to make it back in a warmer month to get the full experience.

This was the perfect place for three friends who write and workshop together online to gather in person. The main room of the house is filled with light and what I didn't realize from the listing is the beautiful view from the living/dining room down to the river. The kitchen is well supplied and every room was very clean and uncluttered. The three bedrooms on the first floor are all very nice, with good beds and pillows (one is slightly larger with a king-sized bed), so we were able to decide on our rooms painlessly and none of us had to settle for an inferior room. The large dining table was perfect for spreading out our work as well as for dining, and one of us enjoyed having the furnished basement as her private work space. When we had a problem with hearing a beeping noise, which we initially thought might be a smoke detector battery that needed replacing, Bob was very responsive and helpful in figuring out the cause of the beeping from a motion detector. We plan to come again.

Caitlin was a wonderful hostess, and the house was very nice. I would definitely recommend if you were going to be in the area.

"Lovely Day" was the perfect getaway we were hoping for. The place looked exactly like the photos showed: beautiful sun-filled front-room, nice spacious kitchen with an open concept, and the easiest access to a private beach. The place had two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed and one with a bed bunk) and a bathroom (with washer and dryer), so it's perfect for a family or a small group of friends. Maybe because it was winter but we were the only ones around, which made our time at the beach even that more enjoyable. Fairhaven is about 10mins away with enough services and restaurants, although we brought everything with us so that we wouldn't have to rely on those. Do note that the exterior and interior walls are a little thin, in case you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful retreat.

Our annual pilgrimage to RI for Thanksgiving was wonderful! It’s so nice to have had a beautiful and comfortable home base for our family while visiting family in the area. We all thought the beds were really comfortable, and the layout of four bedrooms was ideal. I was pleasantly surprised by the half bathroom downstairs, complete with washer and dryer. (My college-aged son loved being able to do his laundry!) We loved the Keurig coffee maker, fully stocked kitchen, and beautiful island along with plenty of counter space. The host was beyond thoughtful to provide small bags of assorted snacks, two small bottles of delicious Newport Vineyards wine (thank you! So delicious), and cold bottled waters in the fridge. All of those were much-appreciated touches. Having grown up in Middletown, I’m familiar with the area. I loved the location of this home, it was so close to downtown Newport, shopping, and of course beautiful Second Beach. We’d love to return to this home in the summer!

This is like the 4th time we have stayed in this house ass we do quite a bit of work in the area. We love this place and this has been and will always be our 1st pick of the area Thank you Ciara for a Fantastic house and for being a wonderful Host

Beautiful historic home that has been well maintained and updated with modern amenities. We had a wonderful stay. Would recommend if you are looking to stay in the area!

We had a great stay in Portsmouth. Go to 15Point restaurant (about a mile away). So yummy. The house was clean, nicely decorated and had good amenities ...and there was a Keurig. The host was awesome too!

I grew up in the area and know Newport well. After a wedding on Cape Cod, we were looking for a place to unwind for a few days. (1) The location is great; right off Thames St. in the heart of downtown, and right down the street from the Vanderbilt (great hotel bar, restaurant, and roof deck) -- that said, we visited in October when Newport isn't crowded; I can imagine it might be a bit noisy in the summer. (2) David was a very responsible host. (3) The apartment, though small (as are most of them in the colonial section of downtown Newport) was well kitted out (in the summer, the washer/dryer would be a real plus; ditto for the small back patio). (4) If you want to stay in and watch shows/videos, it's well equipped (e.g., Hulu, etc.). (5) Wifi was flawless. (6) Parking across the street was $30 for 24 hours.

Perfect spot for the weekend! Kathy’s place is exactly as described, with an amazing open family room. Best location, in that it’s walkable to everything but removed enough to be quiet and peaceful at night. Kathy’s instructions to get in were simple and easy and having the parking pass was super helpful too. Highly highly recommend!!

This Airbnb in Newport is the best I could've hoped for; the views are amazing! I'd totally stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever visit RI.

Wonderful place! Very attractive, super clean, very easy to get into, walk everywhere. The kitchen is so well stocked, coffee, spices all the things needed. Comfortable communal area and beds. It was really nice for 2 couples having 2BR and 2full BR upstairs. We hope to be back.Thank you Shannon for a great stay!

This property was the perfect size for my husband and me. Very clean and had all the basics needed. The bed was very comfortable too. The location was amazing - steps from Thames Street. Troy was extremely responsive, especially when I left a few items behind and had to coordinate with him to get them back.

Katherine was very responsive during our stay - we had an issue with the smoke detector and she sent someone right out. We had a girls weekend here (spa is right across the street and restaurants are walkable) and it was great!
