My family and I celebrated my 60th birthday. A beautiful barn minutes drive from Holt. The barn was so lovely like being at home. It was so well equipped. Lots of space and a Logburner. Underfloor heating. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and would love to go back again for sure.

Quiet and peaceful place to stay, nestled in the garden of the old gamekeepers lodge on the edge of Holkam Park. Has everything you need, and lots of other nice touches, like milk, bread and muesli for breakfast, and some delicious apple juice. The barn felt very private despite being close to the main house. Would love to stay again soon!

We had a memorable weekend at the barn. It is renovated to a very high standard and makes you feel you are somewhere special. The barn was spotlessly clean and we had the best welcome pack! The location is great for the beach and village amenities. A 10 minute walk and you are in the sand dunes. Emma is a conscientious host always prompt to answer questions and help. We would stay here again

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and just as described on the listing. Homely touches were appreciated. Communication and support was on hand when needed. The owner was so helpful when we lost a parcel and had accidentally broken a wine glass. Thank you! Lovely loop walks on the doorstep and a steady 20 minute walk to a stunning beach. The dogs loved their holiday too. Thank you for the towels. The only issue we found was how slippery the wooden stairs to the second bedroom could be. Caution is needed when heading to the bathroom at night. The second bedroom is not fully walled off due to how the property is designed and so any sound in the communal area travels easily. Not really an issue for us though.

Beautiful place! Extremely clean! Stayed at the shepheards hut with my partner and two young children it is absolutely perfect! Situated on a quiet peaceful road with the river chet nearby the location of this property is ideal, a real hidden gem! Inside everything is finished to a lovely high standard, the litchen is extremely well equipped, a powerful shower and comfy beds aswell! Everything about the property is fantastic! Sandra as a host was wonderful! Very responsive and sees to anything and everything youd need!

Our host reached out to check in on our arrival, making sure we were settled and knew how to use the amenities, including the hot tub. There were five of us, and the space was perfect for both cooking and relaxing. We were also given great recommendations for the local beach and a good chippy, plus the beach itself was lovely and sandy. The property is about a 30-40 minute drive from the city center but is surrounded by smaller towns, perfect for supporting local business at the Christmas markets or seal watching. I'd definitely return—it's in a great location with a lovely host.

Myrtle's Barn is a delight and we had the most wonderful pre-Christmas week. The barn has been beautifully converted and designed, and the kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked. Walks from the door step are delightful. The Christmas tree was a lovely bonus. Thanks so much, Victoria and team. We'd love to come back very soon!

The accommodation was excellent and very clean. We had a wonderful 3 night stay there.

Matt and Michaela's attention to detail provided a very comfortable and restful break. The accommodation was exactly was per website, proving a home from home. I would highly recommend this lovely holiday facility that provides everything you need in terms of the rooms, their facilities and quiet rural location. Ideal to chill out and recharge your batteries, but with lots to see and do locally in Suffolk and Norfolk, including miles of sandy beaches.

Sebastian was incredibly accommodating, also allowing for an early check-in and late check-out — super flexible. Communication was quick and responsive, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The space itself was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful art throughout the interiors — it gave the place such a unique and welcoming vibe. Plus, the location was perfect and peaceful. We’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Had a fabulous stay over NY,Tony introduced us to the property and gave us some great information about the area to visit. Very comfortable and cosy and loved the hot tub.We all slept very well , and wonderful supplied kitchen. Would highly recommend. May visit in the summer.

Joanna was so helpful on the lead up to our stay, ensuring we had what was needed to not only make our stay comfortable but to make sure our little one was also comfortable, this was a touch which was greatly appreciated. The barn was just what we needed, a tranquil haven away from the hustle and bustle of life. It was beautifully clean which is always a must for me and we loved waking up to a view. We highly recommend the barn and Joanna as a host. We will be back 😊

If you want to stay close to Norwich but be in the countryside this is ideal. Quiet and private with good food options nearby. Recommended.

Liz's country cottage was truly a perfect hideaway for our long weekend getaway (Mar 28-31, 2025). From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean and tidy everything was, both inside the house and throughout the grounds. The property itself is absolutely beautiful - exactly as advertised and even more charming in person. The location is stunning, providing the perfect peaceful countryside setting for a relaxing escape. We had an amazing 4 days here, and the comfort and beauty of this cottage played a significant role in making our stay so memorable. Everything we needed was provided, and the attention to detail throughout the property was evident. We had a wonderful stay at Crossing Retreat! The location was beautifully peaceful and private, making it the perfect escape. The instructions for finding the property were clear and very helpful. The only small issue we encountered was with the hot water on our first night, but Andy & Michelle were fantastic—quick to respond, great at communicating, and resolved it swiftly. Their hospitality really stood out! A special mention to the daily cat visits—we’re cat people, so we didn’t mind at all! They were very friendly and just added to the charm of the place. We were lucky to have great weather and loved using the outdoor BBQ in the evenings—it was a great touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely return!

We really appreciated our beautiful barn conversion house, with all the amenities that we needed, i.e. two double ensuite bedrooms with comfortable beds, the spacious lounge/diner and easy access for the dog safe garden. It was a peaceful quiet location so we slept really well. Thank you for the eggs!

Our stay was fabulous. The Flint Shed is absolutely beautiful and it has every extra you could possibly need, including a dyson hairdryer and toiletries. We will certainly be booking to stay again. The peace and quiet was much needed and very appreciated.

Lovely modern barn. Clean fresh interior with lots of space. We were very comfortable here. Very peaceful location and well situated to explore parts of North East Norfolk. We would definitely book this place again if returning to the area.

Beautiful property, easy check in. Lots of little items like cookies and snacks on arrival. The underfloor heating was nice. Overall a really lovely property and booked again. Highly recommend.
