Great place in a quiet spot good for colouring Cowal peninsula. The separate sauna and hot tub were even better than imagined. Great place for those with mobility issues.

Excellent accommodation and location, a real memorable trip. The restaurant is pretty much 'on-site' and was excellent. One negative - the hob. Seems like a small thing but when you are cooking for 8 and struggling to hold water at the boil it is frustrating. It was so weak. Since it is accommodation for 8, it really ought to be a more powerful hob. Frying bacon took *ages* ! Otherwise amazing, and highly recommended *****

Spent a lovely time over Christmas... nice walk to the town along a promenade type path (dog loved the pebbled beach). Great views over the water, lovely big dining table for us all to get together for dinner, enough space for us all to do our different things ...and enjoyed a couple of dips in the hot tub at the end of a fun day! Didn't travel too much around the area, but Dunoon itself was nice and took a walk round nearby puck's glen which was worth the visit if you like country walks All in all, great place to stay Thanks Cam

Our stay at Buzzard Cottage on Nether Glenny Farm was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Alison and Matt made us feel like part of their family. The cottage itself was cozy, beautifully decorated, and equipped with a wood burning stove. There is also a wood fired hot tub, an amazing place to relax and watch the stars. The location is breathtaking, perched on a hillside farm overlooking the stunning Lake of Mentieth. One of the highlights was feeding the friendly Highland cattle with Matt and afterwards, warming up in the bothy by the fire and enjoying Alison’s homemade cakes - an experience we won't forget. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with thoughtful hosts, this is the one. We highly recommend a stay here and are already looking forward to our next visit.

wonderful weekend spent here with our two young children. the private Loch area was lovely and the local village was a wonderful haggis trail which we thoroughly enjoyed! the food at the local pub is also great! the lodge was pristine and well equipped for a relaxing stay. the hit tub was immaculate although I would have preferred it a little more private. I would stay in a different lodge to resolve this in the future. it didn't impact our stay however. everyone from the lovely gentleman at reception and cleaners were extremely friendly and helpful. we couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back!

This was our second stay hosted by Ross. The location and cabin are absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a somewhere cosy and peaceful look no further. We would highly recommend 😊

The Old Nunnery was easy to find. Entry was supposed to be a key code lock but this was broken. We could enter but not lock the door. One phone call and Tom who was looking after the property immediately attended and arranged for a locksmith. A new lock was fitted within a couple of hours which was brilliant. The house is large and provided great accommodation for the family. We were comprised of adults and older teens giving them space to socialise and play games but also space for everyone to watch a film together. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect as we took all our meals together creating a very special Christmas. We were 15 in total and it did not feel crowded.the kitchen has lots of crockery and cutlery and a fantastic bar area. Hot tub steam room and sauna which was greatly enjoyed. There are sone artworks as mentioned in previous reviews which might not be suitable for younger children. The views are stunning and many a morning spent watching the seals. Short drive to shops

We had a fantastic stay, The location was stunning, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful escape. The property was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Wendy and ude were excellent hosts, providing clear instructions and being very responsive throughout our visit. We’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and can’t wait to return!

I booked Beth and Dave's place for me and my daughter and our dogs. We loved how close we were to the forest. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Beth and Dave were great at communicating. Instructions and directions were clear, local information was great. We loved the thoughtful touches, the hand written welcome card and the treats for the dogs. Thank you, Beth and Dave.

The Summer House exceeded our expectations. It is more spacious than it looks on the photos. It is very nicely furnished and decorated and is cosy and warm. Penny has thought of everything to make your stay an enjoyable one . Her directions to get there were easy to follow and she recommended several places for us to visit also with clear directions . Archie, her husband , is also very knowledgeable about the island and is very approachable. All in all, we had a lovely time and would highly recommend a stay at Knockenkelly.

Altquhur Byre was a perfectly charming little cottage. The kitchen was modern, spacious and well equipped. The living area was warm and cosy, especially with the fire going. My daughters slept on the sofa bed and found it very comfy. Bedroom was warm with a comfy bed. The bathroom had a powerful shower. The location was very peaceful and there are plenty of walks in the area. I would recommend a stay here and may even be back myself.

We had such an incredible stay at Pauline’s. It is only a 30 min drive into Glasgow and well worth being on the peaceful outskirts if like us, you want to visit the hustle and bustle but then escape back to a peaceful haven at the end of the day. The place was beautifully presented and incredibly clean. Everything was so easy and Pauline really went the extra mile with lots of bits for us to make it feel really special. 10/10 perfect stay - thank you so much for having us Pauline and for making it so lovely.

A gorgeous, well equipped home, that is a perfect retreat into all that nature offers. THE most amazing location and views and plenty of logs provided. Great communication from the owner and thank you Eileen, who was friendly, helpful and a great guide for the area. We will definitely be back.

Just back from spending Xmas day & Boxing Day at The Retreat Check in was easy & the accommodation itself was immaculate and a beautiful location Leah & Gary had decorated for us with beautiful lights & Xmas tree which made our stay extra special They had also left a bottle of Prosecco for us & left breakfast pack and milk which was a lovely & kind gesture The accommodation had everything we needed , towels , bedding , everything you could think of We really couldn’t speak highly enough of the hosts and their accommodation and we can’t wait to book up again

Cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need for cooking your own meals. I thought it was a lovely touch that ruth had incuded everything from cleaning products, toilet tissue, kitchen roll. And also the lovely prosecco cheese and oatcakes that was left for us. We all had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future if we ever visit Arran again. Thank you Ruth for a lovely time.

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

We loved our stay at Rosie’s, she was very welcoming and friendly, great comms. The views are stunning; and a pint and food in the walkable Black Bull Inn is a must. Incredible view of the night sky if you get lucky with the weather.

The most perfect location for a hen party! Chris was the most amazing host with all his information to ensure the stay was as perfect as it could have been! Chris was always on hand if anything was required and always ready to answer questions along with giving recommendations! Location was perfect in a very quiet neighbourhood with a 5 minute walk to the train station to get straight into the centre of Glasgow in no time! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at James's caravan. The views are stunning and the area is situated within easy reach of various other attractions and places to visit. Would highly recommend.
