We had a lovely stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. It is beautiful. Extremely clean. Log fire. Cosy and warm. A spacious kitchen with everything you need. The garden is lovely. Fire pit, seating, all in the shadow of Helmsley Castle. There is a gate at the bottom of the garden that leads to the river. The cottage is situated on the main road as you approach Market Square. It is next door but one to The Helmsley Brewing Company. A cracking microbrewery with a speakeasy cocktail bar above it at the weekends. There are three other bars within a two minute’s walk. Plenty of cafes and restaurants. The castle and bird of prey centre are a 5 minute walk away. It is street parking. There’s not many spaces directly outside but we had no problem. The car could not have been any closer to the front door! Perfect for unloading and loading. Donna sent the key to us in the post so the check in was very easy and straightforward.

Comfortable well-equipped modern house a short drive from the coast, Bridlington, Flamborough, Filey etc. We also walked from the coast path back to the house across the fields. House is mainly comfortable although small double is, as described, a small double bed - so this room is not really sufficient for a good night’s sleep for a couple. Kitchen is well-equipped and there is plenty of parking (3 cars possible).

Great stay, stopped with my kids who are mostly teens, they didn’t want to leave! Plenty of room for us all to spread out, very spacious! Convenient for city centre, shops, train station etc Would definitely stop again, many thanks! Host left us sweets and staples which was a lovely touch.

A great stay at the villa! We stayed for NYE and Rachel provided some extra goodies for us to celebrate, the house was really well equipped and clean alongside this Rachel was amazing with communication and keeping us informed.

Our family had a lovely week in Ripon. The house is perfect, cosy, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Great communication with Ben, the host. Thanks very much. John

The place was spotlessly clean and the kitchen very well equipped. We cooked Christmas lunch and wanted for nothing. Nice touches like basic condiments, kitchen roll and every type of cleaning materials you could want. The main bedroom is small but the large bed is extremely comfortable, ditto the pillows and duvet. We slept well. Could do with some hanging space, wall hooks and some coat hangers would do. Very nice linen and towels and large chest of draws. The 2nd bedroom also has a very comfortable bed and again well equipped. Living room is warm and comfortable with AC available. TV could do with an upgrade, poor reception. The internet was great with 37Mbps speed. Shower room/toilet is fine but could do with a heated towel rail in winter. The local town, Wragby, is a seven minute walk away with two good pubs, takeaways and a Co-op supermarket. Really friendly people too. All in all the place was perfect for our seven day stay, thoughtfully appointed and highly recommended.

Short stay but everything was as expected and will definitely book again if another reason to visit the area arises.

Sally has a lovely home. The peaceful location and proximity to the coast is ideal. The home itself has everything you would need as a family to enjoy your stay. It is spotless, well equipped and so comfortable. We did not have the best weather and it was great to get back from a wet windy walk to a warm haven. Loved our stay and will definitely be booking again.
