Fantastic house and hosts!! This is one of our favorite AirBnBs and we live in AirBnBs full time!! The house is so lovely and cozy! We loved sitting by the fire in the living room. The kitchen was perfect for making dinner every night. The yard was large enough for our dog to run around and they even offered a doggie door if we wanted it! The house is very dog friendly and we could take our pup for walks around the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very walkable around a beautiful lake. You can walk to downtown but it is very hilly so bring your walking shoes! We preferred to drive. The drive to downtown was very short and there was plenty of parking. We loved this place and will definitely stay again!!!

This is a very cute and quiet place right on the river and very welcoming after a long day of hurricane clean up and volunteer work. Check in was very easy with a coded door lock. The entire place is very artsy and inviting. The fireplace was very cozy during the unusual cold spell. This property was well cleaned up but the road leading up still has a long way to go towards being cleared and multiple houses have damage and contents outside of the home. This beautiful area of Marshall was sadly quite damaged by the river surge. This should NOT dissuade anyone from staying here- once you pass that point, Billy’s place is wonderful, clean and you’ll enjoy the sounds of the river and the waterfowl passing by. We were honored to help the residents of WNC and plan to return in the future. We hope to see Marshall return to its former charm one day.

Our family absolutely loved this home. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary things to make our meals. Everything was clean and the home is very spacious. We traveled with our two kids and our dog. Our kids enjoyed the games and puzzles provided and they loved the hot tub as well. We did visit the resort indoor pool which wasn't crowded at all. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and we would definitely visit again.

The hot tub and outside area were great to sit and enjoy with friends. Downtown was minutes away and the lake was even closer. Loved the open floor plan. It was great for our girls weekend!

Great location on Lake Lure. Quick access to the central part of the lake. Inside the house is on the small side but outdoor decks provide plenty of space to spread out. Everything you might need to enjoy your lake stay is provided, including the option for an on-site boat to rent. Parking is tight for larger vehicles - would suggest more compact size cars for easier maneuvering on street/parking area.

Didn't spend a lot of time indoors but the time we did was great. loved the game room. The time that we did spend inside felt like we were close to outside with the large open area and full windows overlooking the fire pit. Would definitely stay again.

This place is an amazing home for a family vacation or large gathering for Rumbling Bald or just a true GEM for a family vacation away. With the amentities in the property along with the peacefulness of the home, it was truly a great time. We stayed here with my family for the weekend of my wedding and could not have asked for a better spot. We also could bring our dogs and he had everything for them if we had forgotten anything such as beds, a crate, bowls. It was super nice and such a nice touch!

Holly’s place is just great and what we were looking for. We were taking a birding trip and our first morning there a hummingbird flew right up to us. In the morning and at the evening around 6 PM, lots and lots of birds flying around in the backyard. We bought a hummingbird feeder and hung it from the porch. There were two hummingbirds that immediately visited the feeder many times each day. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Plus, Holly has the place so organized and functional to make it easy for her guest.

Beautiful location and cottage is in great condition. Enjoyed the lake!

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

Such a great price for this stay. The location is awesome. We had such a fun time! Rumbling Bald did not disappoint. We have a 3.5 yr old and it was perfect for her - the swimming pools, beach with playground, etc The kitchen is minimal and there isn’t a freezer so you have to be prepared to cook with that in mind or eat out often!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Linda and Robb were very accommodating. We felt right at home. Robb made some wonderful recommendations about the resort.

Anne's home was great, or family had such a great time. Lovely views! ample space for the family.

We felt very lucky to find this place in a pinch. Our other air bnb that we booked a month+ ago had frozen water pipes. Tamera responded very quickly to our panicked, last minute booking. The place is immaculate. We had everything we needed. We were grateful for our stay here.

The cabin was great! Just as described with comfortable beds, quality linens, fun outdoor toys that kept the whole family entertained. The kitchen has everything needed for a meal, quality grill, and overall 5 stars and would come back as a family of 4 any time. Thanks for an amazing week at the lake!

Adorable and spacious cottage with two private sleeping and sitting areas. Perfect for two couples! It was nice to come back to a quiet peaceful place after exploring the area during the day. Sitting on the back deck or in the screened room by the pond made us wish we had stayed longer. Jackie went over and above to make us feel comfortable including a cake for my husband's birthday and shipping a new golf bag to her for a surprise gift. The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

Perfect location...easily walkable for the local fare and close to asheville. Great place for our family so much room!

Great location with quick access to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Happy with our decision to book this cabin for the week.

This was my second stay at the cottage. The house was as beautiful as it was the first time back in 2020. The kids loved going for a walk around the lake and talking to the farm animals from outside their pen. The WiFi was fast. I had no problems driving my Tesla around the property. The hosts were very responsive. This location has close access to the Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum, and a Tesla Supercharger.

The place was very clean and lots of room. It was exactly what the pictures showed. It was a quiet and nice neighborhood and very convenient to everything and other local cities for activities.

The Five Oaks Cottage was just what we were looking for to celebrate Michele’s birthday. The cottage was very cozy and everything we needed, and nothing we didn’t need. David and Penny were very accommodating and responsive. There was a great boat house, canoe and kayak for our use, at no additional charge. We felt welcomed and right at home. We bought one of the children’s books David had written, and David signed it and personalized it for our granddaughter. Lake Lure is a magical lake, and we are looking forward to returning one day.
