Definitely would stay here again!! Had more than enough room for everyone! Loved the fire place we used it everyday!

Wow, it’s been a while since we’ve taken a family get away but this was the perfect place, perfect host. Wasn’t sure what to expect but that uncertainty was gone upon arrival. I loved that the town isn’t far and the lake. The drive there from San Francisco was really easy even under the snowy weather, few curves but mostly straight road there so I felt safe. My kids are already asking when we can go back, it was an amazing weekend, I can’t wait to visit again. Saw a bald eagle land on the property as well that’s an experience I never knew I needed. 10/10 definitely will plan another trip, only complaint I heard was that the trip was too short.

We had a great stay continuing our annual tradition of heading towards Lassen for our mid-winter break. We loved the hot tub and pool table. The house was nice and cozy and warm. Was nice to have individual units to heat each room, especially since we all felt comfortable at different temperatures. Fun start with great proximity to Lassen Volcanic NP and Eskimo hill for winter fun.

This home is amazing! I’ve stayed here with my co workers for two weeks and the rooms are all fantastic. The kitchen has tons of room for whoever and comes with just about everything you can forget. The deck is arguably my favorite part, it’s stays shaded and the hot tub surrounded by pines is super relaxing. Meghann was super proactive with everything and made our stay here one of the best we’ve experienced in the area. 10/10 we wish we were going back next week.

Our stay at the Sows Ear was nothing less than amazing. Steph and Heidi are wonderful hosts very accommodating. The home was very well put together and thought out with the rustic furnishings and the beautiful porch. Rick and I consider Steph and Heidi family. Our house is always open to them if they ever come our way, they treated us and our dogs, Trip and Sandy like family. Had them for dinner one night as I had made a wonderful lasagna enjoyed the conversation and the company immensely. We will definitely return. Can’t wait to do so very hard to go home after vacation from there. Looking forward to seeing you again soon . Sincerely Rick and Debbie, Trip and Sandy.

We had an amazing time during our stay here. The attention to detail in amenities, anticipated needs of the guests, and cleanliness was greatly appreciated. The location is quiet and scenic with loads of options for outdoor activities. We enjoyed the availability of the hot tub and fire place to get cozy at the end of the day. Our 3 dogs also accompanied us on this trip and we really appreciated having a host that was happy to accommodate them. They had plenty of space in the yard to run and play. We look forward to staying here in the future!

This is the perfect cabin stay for a mountain getaway. It was exactly what I was looking for, and had some of the luxuries you’d want in a normal home such as a TV, fridge, and stove. The small space made the stay cozy and was easily warmed by the wood stove and provided wood.

Lillian was a great host, and was available for us whenever we had questions or needs...The hike around boulder creek was lovely, and was a nice way to enjoy half the day..

Spent a week at the cabin while participating in a wildlife management program (x4). Cabin was conveniently located near the national forest and Pittville Highway and was a perfect place to rest and unwind after a hard day's work. Lots of goodies in the fridge and pantry, and we utilized the nice grill on the porch multiple times. The home was private and secluded - surrounded by nature. Loved seeing the deer and other wildlife on the property. The view of the stars was incredible, and we even got to see the aurora one evening. Sandi was a great host who gave us our privacy, but was always available for questions and friendly recommendations. We unfortunately didnt take enough time to explore the property, but it was a beautiful ranch with a pair of gorgeous horses. So looking forward to the next opportunity to stay at the Rocking K Guest Cabin. It really is a special place and met our needs perfectly.

Great location! We loved the private dock and being right next to Carol’s and a short distance via car or boat to Plumas Pines Restaurant! Cabin is clean and cozy. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Would love to book again!

I felt exceptionally fortunate to discover this place. I loved staying in this space in regard to the simplicity and sufficiency of the accommodations and the opportunity to be in view of Mount Shasta. Both Mary and Fred were very responsive hosts. I hope to return.

We had a great stay at this cabin! Cozy and so close to the lake it was perfect for a winter wonderland vacation. We loved all the supplies it had and how clean it was. The owner was responsive and helpful when we got locked out and we were able to get back in quickly. The only downside was the heater - it was a bit finicky. Overall we would absolutely stay again!

This cabin style home was such a perfect retreat for me and my family to gather and have such an unforgettable weekend! Ron was very responsive to any questions I had and the home was absolutely beautiful and comfortable! I will definitely be coming back in the future to stay again. 5 stars ⭐️ !!

Great place! It was everything we expected. Got some fresh snow while we were there. Cute little neighborhood with a nice country store within walking distance. Overall great place and experience.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! After a busy year, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cabin is beautifully furnished with antique, high-quality pieces and has everything you need, from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy blankets, beds and games. The cuckoo clock was a highlight—my kids loved counting the seconds to see the bird! My 6-year-old son also got to see an old-fashioned telephone for the first time, which was so special. The owner was very responsive, and the cabin was spotless. The surrounding area is gorgeous with plenty of hiking trails, and the locals are incredibly kind. We even learned how to fish thanks to tips from the friendly staff at the General Trinity Store and caught four fish—our kids were thrilled! This cozy, peaceful cabin is a perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be back. The Only thing is that you just make sure to check road conditions if you plan to explore the area.

Home was very cozy and set up great. River view was amazing, easy in and out access to cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it! 👍🏼

We were two families with 3 kids. The hosts are super friendly and communicative. L2 charger was an added advantage here for which we paid an extra $40 for the stay. Everything is as described in the listing. We had a wonderful and peaceful stay.

We had a delightful stay at Ripple Creek Cabins…Cabins nestled in between trees and adjacent to a river. There is a section right on the property riverfront that accommodates pool lounge floating. What a cool setting! Meghan left us a note with specific tips to enhance our stay. I knew cell service, was non-existent in the Coffee Creek area, so I should have downloaded directions to our cabin rather than figure, “how hard can it be to find cabin #1?” We did find it after poking around a bit. I wish we had come here when our children were young, as there are lots of things for young ones to do. It felt as though we stepped into a world with characteristics of a simpler time.

It was a great get away. Can't beat the location on the river, though if you are hoping to fish in the area around the house, we had a hard time finding easy river access, though we didn't look that hard. The house is cozy with a lot of thoughtful touches like a welcome bag with wine. The bathroom of all things was one of the highlights with its quirkiness. You'll see if you rent this gem. :-)

This is a beautiful and cozy home to stay if you’re wanting a place to relax and enjoy the view. We came here at a great time where we were able to reach some snow with a short car ride. It is also close to a beautiful lake and some nice hikes. I’ll forever remember waking up in the morning to the nice cool air on the large porch while enjoying a hot cup of coffee.

This place was the perfect getaway for our family ski and snow fun weekend. We had a blast out there. It’s very private and offers pretty much unlimited space for kids to roam and explore. The house is very cozy and is well taken care of. It has a well equipped kitchen. We will be back! :-) Two things to be aware of before you book: The access road is very muddy and unstable when wet so you absolutely need good tires and four wheel drive, ideally a high clearance vehicle. The house can be very cold in the winter. Bring slippers and warm clothes.
