We very much enjoyed our time in Boca and the accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. Kiri was a very responsive host and stayed in touch at every turn. We had some WiFi issues (common in the area) and Kiri kept us informed. She was also very helpful with local recommendations.

Dos Hermanos isn’t so much a vacation rental as it is a portal to old Mexico, where priorities are based on basic sustenance, community support and simple family values. Dos Hermanos’ hosts Marcos y Michelle, Eric y Holly son incredibly accommodating. The accommodations are basic. But that’s the point. Yet want a delicious fresh fish dinner cooked in your own kitchen? Then Maria is there to help. If wanting a base camp to explore old Mexico, Dos Hermanos is the place. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the whales can’t be beat. If driving plan on 4 hours from north PV. El Tuito to Chimo is about 2 hours alone. If you don’t know the road, don’t do it at night. There are sinkholes on the sides that can swallow half of your car. We did it fine in a FWD rental. Once there and settled into Dos Hermanos, you won’t want to leave.. You’re looking for a window to the past. And with Dos Hermanos, their hosts, and the community of Chimo, you’ve found it.

casa alegre was a great spot for a fun birthday weekend with friends. Lots of stairs to walk up but it’s worth it.

A friend and I stayed in Casa Fresca in early March and it was perfect – the weather was great and the bugs were minimal. Getting to Yelapa is an adventure – but Alfonso’s instructions were helpful and Vico (the caretaker) met us off the boat and arranged for someone to help us with our bags (we paid him as well). There are a lot of stairs to get to the house from the pier but it is so worth it for the views and the quiet. The living room was more comfortable than I imagined and we spent almost a full day just lounging at the house. The bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water. The beds were comfortable and spotless. The staircase to the upstairs was fine for us, but if you have limited mobility it might be a challenge. We ate meals out but the kitchen would have been fun to cook in. Getting to the beach at the other side of town was took 15 or 20 minuets and it was fun when we went mid-week. If I ever get to go back to Yelapa – I would rent Casa Fresca again in a heartbeat.

Paul's place was perfect for all of us offering great views, a chance to observe waterfowl and other nature aspects, and close distance both to the beach and groceries. It was also just across from a very lovely place, "Sanctuario" - hotel and restaurant where we spent a New Year's Eve evening. Pablo and his family were so attentive to our every need, sharing with us great fresh food and a playground with our daughters. We spent absolutely fantastic four days.

We loved this place! It was in the very best location in Yelapa to enjoy the beautiful views. Judy met us at a restaurant near the pier to show us to the home, which was only a minute walk. The home is so very cool! All open to the outside except the bedroom, which was so comfortable. We would highly recommend and we hope to be back!

Our third trip to Yelapa, we can easily say this visit was our favorite. CG is a beautiful property surrounded by lush jungle. Only standing on the massive main balcony can one truly realize how breathtaking it really is. Private surroundings, incredible sights/sounds of wildlife and clear views of the ocean. Each morning was spent drinking coffee and whale watching! However, the private sanctuary does come at a cost. The trek up to CG is a lot. We are active 50y people that enjoy hiking, camping, etc. There are LOTS of stairs up a pretty steep grade. This forced us to be more intentional with our planning, which actually turned out to be a good thing. If you struggle physically, CG might not be for you. Felipe/Yanet were amazing. We had Yanet cook dinner for us twice and each meal was delicious and affordable. Felipe provided private RT transport from PV and also took us snorkeling/WW. He was extremely professional. We love Yelapa and can't wait to return to CG in 2025!!

This property is truly incredible. It is remote, beautiful and everything you could want in a vacation. We traveled with 6 children ages 6 and under and it was perfect for kids this age. So much for them to do and explore right outside the front door. Palita prepared meals for us throughout our stay here and not only was her food incredible, but her, Raul and the rest of their family were so kind, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. To say Jeannette went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular would be an understatement. She was so helpful in our planning, making suggestions and setting up excursions for us. We could not have done it without all of her help- she is a gem. If you are looking for a beautiful setting removed from the large crowds of Puerto Vallarta, relaxation, adventure, culture and interacting with some amazing people, look no further. I could not recommend this property more.

the Yelapa Estuary Apartments are a great location to stay, especially if you're looking to be on the beach/estuary side rather than up in the town on the other side of the river. Being so close to the beach was great, and you feel like you're right in the jungle. It feels rustic, but with the comforts of A/C, etc... we were there for a music festival that was right nearby and this location was great for that. Would return to this accommodation again in the future!

Rich was super attentive to anything we needed. The place was clean and had the little things one can't always fit like beach towels, snorkeling gear, etc. Rich's place was in "downtown" and having been to Yelapa we knew the music could be quite loud into the night... and Rich warned us- so bringing earplugs was important.

We spent 1 week at Ruben's place in Yelapa (4 adult women and a 15 month old baby) and were very happy with our stay. It was ideally located between the pueblo (town with restaurants, cafes and grocery stores) - 5 minute walk to main grocery store, 10 minute walk to the beach. The bedrooms were fully closed in to keep any bugs out, but had windows to allow for air flow. The outdoor living space had a kitchen equipped with cooking ware and dinnerware, 2 hammocks, big dining table and lots of space to hang out. They also refilled our jugs of water (can't drink the tap water) whenever we ran out which saved us a ton in money and was very convenient. Beautiful view of the water, mountains and town. Ruben and his team were extremely helpful and kind. The main beach is beautiful. Yelapa has 3 grocery stores and plenty of restaurants and cafes with delicious options. Highly recommend this airbnb.

Cynthia's place was as described, in a great location and was super clean. We had no problem finding it- you can't miss the building. It has a beautiful view of the river and jungle. There was some construction at the river shores in the morning but it didn't bother us at all. Our unit didn't have a hammock as in the photos, if that matters to you, but had chairs and tables on the balcony to enjoy the scenery. Definitely check out the rooftop top- it's much better than the photos (but be respectful as there was someone staying adjacent to it). Would stay again!

Incredible place with insanely beautiful views. I had a great time and would happily come back! The staff is very helpful and it’s a quick walk down the hill to town where there are many amazing restaurants. Yelapa is amazing

The apartment was very cute, surrounded by trees, spacious, clean, close to town but far enough that you can just hear the roosters and music from far away but still sleep well. We love to eat out but also have the possibility of cooking and this was perfect for us and our kids. Yelapa is amazing and this little place was the perfect place to rest. Next time we’ll stay in one of the Greenview apartments with a balcony with a view.

Benito and Chris are wonderful hosts and the location is a slice of paradise. Well appointed kitchen, nice layout and comfortable beds. However, not every accessible for those with disabilities. A great jump off point to explore the more secluded beaches further south and right on the trail for those that prefer the exercise over the water taxi. Excellent restaurants nearby, especially further down the trail ;) Great snorkeling/fishing with Estefany Tours. Good surf at Quimixto Beach. Much more laid back feel than more popular spots closer to town or even further north like Sayulita. Boca de Tomatlan still feels like it’s mostly untainted by foreigners, and the locals fill the beach on the weekends for an authentic feel. The water is clean and the pace of life is different here. Not a party vibe as it pretty much quiets down around 7pm. Wading across the river to go to and from town is always fun except at higher tides/swells. Boca del Rio is a hidden gem!

Casa Palmita is a paradise! With a door that leads to beautiful stone steps that lead you right down to a small beach, cute walkable little town, giant deck and access to another giant rooftop deck with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding jungle....... !!! Sleep to the sound of the ocean at night. Do follow advice and arrange to have help with your luggage when you get off at the town pier....a wonderful gentleman showed up with a wheelbarrow and pushed our luggage through the little streets. The inside space is large, lots of sleeping options.

We had a lovely balcony, the space was large enough, nice decor. What really made our stay wonderful was the friendly help and kind smiles we received from Fernanda. We really felt like welcome guests. I should add that the rooftop area with honor bar for the guests is an especially good place to enjoy the beauty of Yelapa.

We felt super lucky to be staying here in Yelapa. The property was really spacious, in the perfect location and we had the Miranda team to hand if we had any questions. The balcony is incredible and the extra communal roof terrace means everything is just easy if you need to wait or check out before your boat. Thank you!!!!

I cannot say enough good things. The view is incredible, the location is amazing, and the people are even better. Yelapa is magical, and everyone at MiraMar was so welcoming. Take an excursion while you’re there. We went snorkeling, saw dolphins and whales up close, and ate the best seafood of our lives—all in one trip.

We had a wonderful time staying at Mira mar! Kendra was very responsive, everyone was so friendly. The place was beautiful with amazing views. The wifi worked well for my husband, who had to work remotely. Noise wasn’t a problem for us, and we slept really well in the comfortable bed. We will definitely be back!

Israel and Erika were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and very thoughtful. We have stayed in Mayto for several years and never rented a place with a kitchen, much less a beautiful kitchen like this one! This was a huge plus for us: having a place to cook fish my husband caught on the beach was fantastic. We also loved the very comfortable bed, the view of the ocean, and the proximity to the gorgeous Mayto beach (just a quick walk down the hill!). We were impressed with the Internet speeds in the middle of nowhere! We had a wonderful stay and didn’t want to leave. In fact we accidentally almost stayed an extra night (mix up with our calendar) and Israel was totally gracious about our mistake. This is a really nice house for a rural area!
