A wonderful place to stay had everything we needed and more excellent peaceful location but with local amenities within a short drive just what we needed to shut off for a few days will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return again ourselves

Great place to stay. Stayed at Pod 3, amazing view of the river, arrived very late and Catherine had the hot tub and pod all warmed up for our late arrival. Although the pod doesn’t get hot as such, hot water bottles were provided and a big fire pit was readily available. Failing that, a hot shower or a dip in the hot tub . Fantastic two nights away, will definitely be coming back!

The lodge was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival all the essentials were provided like bread, milk and a delicious cake along. The lodge was very clean and all towels were provided, including the towels for the hot tub. The views from the lodge looking out from the bedrooms and hot tub were stunning and certainly helped us all to relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need - nothing was missing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - I couldn’t recommend it enough if you want peace and quiet and stunning views.

Really lovely location, not too far from some great walks! Nice pub for food around the corner. Overall a really enjoyable stay!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Julia’s charming lodge with my family to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday, it exceeded all my expectations. The space was impeccably clean, with very comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen that made me feel right at home. The location and views are just fantastic, it is just under a two mile walk to the lovely twice brewed pub and Hadrian s wall. Julia was incredibly hospitable and responsive to my queries The thoughtful touches, like the fabulous welcome basket, well stock kitchen cupboards with all the essentials and of course the lovely kind touch of a very tasty homemade fresh cream cake and Prosecco on ice when we arrived. All rooms having well equipped en-suite with all the essentials, shampoo etc. all bedrooms also having your own door leading to the beautiful outside area with chickens welcoming us every morning. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting this area and definitely look forward to returning

Out stay here was absolutely lovely. The place was really easy to find with all the instructions Jo and Paddy supplied. Everywhere was spotless, the pictures really don’t do it justice - they look lovely but it’s even nicer inside and out. The view made waking up in the morning a delight. The patio seating area is lovely, however it does look out onto a public pier so I imagine in summer it isn’t as private as it felt as we went in March They have lots and pots and pans and everything you would need ! The only downside I would say is there is a coffee machine however it wasn’t clear what coffee was needed to use it beforehand so we didn’t have the right coffee to use with it! (I think it’s ground coffee that’s needed) They do supply sachets of instant coffee and tea though which was super helpful All in all it’s an amazing stay and we are already talking about going back in summer !

Perfect place for family with two teenage boys to entertain and the dog! Lovely cosy and clean lodge. Great base for fun in the Lakes. The hosts were very quick to respond as we booked very last minute! Hope to come again.

Great place to stay, has everything you need was clean & tidy, lovely sitting outside in the evenings with the fire pit, 5mins from Amberside town witch has everything you need, lovely walks round the area, would recommend highly.

We cannot rate more than 5 stars else we would. Andrew was a fantastic hostel, really friendly and approachable. The cottage and it's surroundings are someone the most peaceful we have come across and we live Devon so this shouldn't be hard to find here. We will be using Andrews place as our local retreat once we relocate. I would give this place 10 stars! So many little thoughtful touches that just make this place 10 stars! We will definitely be staying again!

Amazing place to stay, we took 3 of our dogs and our son. Hot tub, amazing children’s play area, trampoline, swings, seesaw, 20+ go carts with track, play obstacle course, climbing frame, slide, basketball hoops and football nets. The pictures on the advert are outdated and don’t show the go cart track. A brilliant field specifically for walking the dogs, not fully secure due to gaps under the gate but great for dogs who will ignore sheep. Lovely pod with everything we could have needed, hot tub lovely and warm, amazing views. Picnic bench and parking space. Lots of towels available, comfy bed and pillows. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco, eggs and biscuits. Very happy with our stay! We went to The bridge end inn for tea, 2 nights in a row!! The food was absolutely fantastic, well priced but quality fresh cooked food. Booking is a must as they were very busy.

Incredible place. Took my two young kids and Alan was good enough to show them the telescope even past theit bedtime. He 100% made my 6 year old full of excitement and wonder and a convert to astronomy. The location is pecaeful, full of wildlife and birdsong and just an incredible find. Its out of the way, but: 1. It has to be because of light pollution and 2. If my old campervan made it there, you can too. Any single parents of young kids just be aware bathroom and kitchen are outside accommodatiom and also downstairs, so be prepared to sneak out if you need a posg bedtime wee! Recommended unreservedly.

We had a great stay here. This caravan has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Everything is great quality and the sofas are super comfortable + it’s only a 10 minute walk to Cockermouth which has loads of restaurants, shops and pubs to choose from. The caravan is cosy, perhaps best for a couple due to the size however we enjoyed our stay immensely!

Rob, I can’t thank you more mate the best experience I’ve had in a lifetime such a amazing place to stay, such a hidden gem the price needs to be doubled then doubled again for the value of this beauty. The customer service alone honestly rob could not be a nicer more welcoming host. Thanks so much rob, me and the lads hope to be seeing you again very shortly. :)

Would strongly recommend this place! Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights as a base to go walking in the lakes. It’s such a lovely place with all the amenities that you need after a long day on the fells, a very comfy bed, hot powerful shower and a well appointed little kitchen. It’s a tranquil location but also close to Penrith 10 mins away and Keswick is only a 20 minute drive. There’s also a nice pub 5/10 mins walk down the road in Greystoke. We will definitely return especially as the weather meant we didn’t get to use the outside bath !

The cabin was so cosy and cute in a beautiful location. Louise was very helpful and gave good recommendations for places to eat/walk. I left my speaker there and Louise was quick to respond and send it back to me!

Charlotte's places was nothing short of magical. This cosy shepherds hut was exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend away. The hut itself was done to an incredibly high standard and left very homely. The surrounding areas were very peaceful and made for a fabulous sunset; waking up to the birds was definitely and highlight. My only regret was not staying longer! I look forward to booking another trip in the future. Thank you so much for hosting us both.

Our group had the most relaxing stay at this beautiful cabin nestled amongst the trees overlooking the river (which you can hear rushing by whilst lying in bed - bliss!) The cabin itself was well-equipped, with excellent cooking facilities, and a big TV for cozy evenings in front of the fire. We loved the selection of books left in each room and the the welcome pack full of treats! The bedding is also extremely comfy. The owner was incredibly friendly, stopping by with his dogs and making us feel very welcome. We visited in February and stayed toasty warm thanks to the log fire and the hot tub, and we’re already thinking of coming back in the summer to be able to enjoy the outdoor facilities too. Highly recommend this peaceful escape for anyone looking to reconnect with nature with a group of family/friends. Can't wait to return.

Gorgeous cabin in a lovely location. The view was exceptional. There was some work going on on neighbouring buildings that we were not warned about, but we did get a note apologising for any disturbance so thats not all bad. The welcome basket with some essentials and treats was a lovely touch. The hot tub is super cute and because its not got jacuzzi jets its actually really perfect for the setting. Sitting in such peace, under the stars like we were the only people in the world was priceless. Definitely recommend taking your own kindling, we were given logs but couldn't have started the fire for the hot tub without the kindling we took....though sure we could have bought some from the team, just easier to have your own. Overall the cabin was beautiful, everything we needed, and you can't find a more perfect setting than the glorious lake district can you?! Keswick is a 15 min drive away, Windermere about 45 mins. Would recommend.

Yanxia is an excellent host she gave us some great recommendations and tips to get around. The guidebook was super helpful. Accommodation was clean and tidy, the welcome basket was very much appreciated. It felt very cosy and private surrounded by beautiful views. Location was great and within walking distance of the local village. Also there were lots of things to do only a short drive away. checking in and out was very straight forward. would definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Dan's place is absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. It feels like your in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature but only a few minutes away from civilisation and shops, takeaways etc. Best of both worlds. Communication was great and Dan was very helpful. Would definitely recommend and will happily stay again.

For a small lodge this was well planned allowing a separate space for kitchen and sitting. As a family group of 5, including a 21,19 and 17yr old we didn't feel cramped at all. We were able to share the living space, watch TV, play games, cook etc all at the same time without feeling we were impacting each other's activity. We were delighted with the resources in the new Kitchen - including sharp knives for prepping food! Always a real bonus and plenty of dishes and glasses so you didn't need to run the dishwasher after every meal. The lodge warmed up quickly and held the heat well. The bedding was warm and cosy. Beds were really comfy and all suitable for adult sized people. The hosts had provided a variety of games which we used and also a great selection of map books for walk suggestions in the area. the dog loved being able to be on the deck area and had access to the side garden too. With lodges and the road all around we were amazed how secluded and quiet the area was.
