Best Air bnb we've ever experienced! Unbelievable location First class equipped kitchen ... Amber has literally thought of everything. All the little touches that make it a home away from home! Firstly the layout of the house has been well thought out and suited our party of two families of all ages. Enough space for everyone to spread out but excellent to all gather on the deck or in the huge living area! We just loved it and communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely recommend this property and host to everyone.

This place is amazing. The house is magnificent, amazing design with so much outdoor space. The kitchen opens onto the verandah where I spent most of my time sitting on the outdoor couches watching the birds. There is ample space for a number of people. The view out to the lake is peaceful & the trees & gardens around the house attract multiple birds & butterflies. The area was a little bit noisy at times with boat/vehicle noise but I guess that's to be expected with that location on the lake. Communication with the host Cassi was easy & responsive & staying at the house felt relaxed & casual with not too many strict house rules. The house was easy to live in & felt very comfortable. Overall a wonderful stay.

The house is exactly as shown in the photos, offering stunning views and comfortable, welcoming common areas. It is fully equipped with everything necessary for cooking and is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the town. We would also like to mention that we visited with our dog, Juno, who enjoyed the house just as much as we did. Thomas always kind and attentive. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Our two families had a wonderful stay at The Lake House. The pontoon entertained our young sons ALL weekend! They loved it. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the great view. The house was perfect for two families with two bathrooms. Great kitchen facilities overlooking the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful little piece of paradise. Short stroll to the lake. Short drive to the town centre. Comfortably housed our little family. It was cold and rainy the whole time but the space provided us with a warm home to come back to. Definitely would stay again.

Beau was great, she met us when we arrived and very helpful in showing us around the property and amenities. The kids really enjoyed themselves fishing/swimming/kayaking, they only caught a couple of catfish that went back but they had fun, didn't catch any Yabbies though, it was good to see them off their devices and having fun in the old fashion way.

Our stay was so relaxing, beautiful location with a lot of activity options. A lot of lovely wildlife visiting and easy boat access. The house was very comfortable for 8 guests, both inside and out. The lake side area was very comfortable, shady and a lot of seating which made the days extra relaxing. Quiet and private.

Es war unsere erste Nacht in Queensland und es war wunderschön! Die Bungalows liegen traumhaft in der Natur und sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Pizza-Abend im Check-in Café war superlecker im tollen Ambiente mit sehr netten Menschen. Ein perfekter Einstieg in unsere Tour!

The unit was very clean and tidy 10/10, loved the little extras like biscuits & jams, was very well presented with beautiful decor and comfortable beds, lovely unit to relax and unwind.

Absolutely fantastic location, with fab food in site and the most beautiful surroundings. Huge shout out to Carmen for her attentiveness for our stay and also helping to make our vow renewal site look incredible

If you’ve been scrolling through listings searching for a fabulous family place or one which suits a large group, then you’ve found it. There were four adults and five children in our family and this place still had plenty of room to spare. It’s clean, comfortable, cosy, quiet, relaxing, homely and has absolutely everything you need. If you wish to cook up a feast, it has a pizza oven and even a thermomix! The outdoor entertainment area is awesome and so easy to be outside watching kids roll around on the grass or use the kayaks. The kids reported their bunk room to be better than any they’ve ever used & that’s coming from teenagers. The room is seperate to the other bedrooms so the squealing, laughing & ridiculous dancing is all contained for adults to have quiet space in the pretty surroundings. Ric and Jilly were excellent hosts and we have found a place to return if we’re in the area again. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven. 🤗🤗

The cottage was excellent, nicely furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was adequate for our needs with good cooking facilities, a Nespresso Virtuoso pod machine plus pods. Nick was a very responsive host and sorted out a few minor challenges such as the microwave dying . It’s a beautiful location and the cottage is well appointed. High quality Sealy posturepedic beds and excellent quality linen. We will be back. Highly recommended

Inge's place is magic! The unique house is off-grid and very well planned. It is so special and different - in amongst the bush with birds and pademelons coming up close (it helps that Inge feeds them). Her artistic personality shines through in the interesting furniture and decor she has chosen for Asgard. The kitchen is small and partly inside, partly outside, but has everything we needed. It stood out for us as the only place we stayed in that had a knife sharp enough to cut and peel fruit and veges! Comfy bed and good shower, and Inge had supplied eggs and bread and milk. She gave a full tour of her garden, knowing my interest in it, and advised on nearby walks around lake Tinaroo.

The Sugar Shack is a charming and truly comfortable oasis of calm and beauty convenient to much of what the Port Douglas and surrounding region has to offer. Everything about the shack is as described, clean, functional and easy to use. Importantly at this time of the year (December) when the heat and humidity have kicked in the shack is easily cooled. No surprises. Great atmospheric views of the mountains and plenty of interesting bird life around the property. Beautiful creek with clear water. An additional bonus was being able to bring along our young retriever and watch her enjoy the freedom of the well-kept paddocks and the security of a fenced cottage garden around the shack. Delicious eggs from their contented hens too! Kylie (who met us) and Nicki were efficient and friendly and very helpful with their local knowledge and the entire experience was very welcoming. Great hosts!
