If it's dark skies at night you are seeking, this is the place. In a dark sky sanctuary, with open space all around. Set up your telescope, bring binoculars, or just sit outside at night and look up. It will be rewarding and impressive. The cabin is almost luxurious, very comfortable and inviting. Kitchen is nicely equipped. Not off-grid; plenty of electricity, hot water, and Starlink internet. Great gas fireplace. The road in Nevada is not paved, but is well maintained for passenger vehicles.

Cute, warm and comfortable cabin that has everything you need for a restful getaway in this area. I especially like how welcoming the host is and the homemade baked treats she left for me.

we came to Natalie's place as a gateway from work stress and the pace of city life, and in a need to rest and recoup. Natalie's place was the perfect place for that. serenity and beauty, with homey touches and gorgeous views. the strongest advantage of the place is the location. looking out the window in the morning and seeing this beautiful farm, is exactly what we needed. This cabin style home was such a perfect retreat for me and my family to gather and have such an unforgettable weekend! Ron was very responsive to any questions I had and the home was absolutely beautiful and comfortable! I will definitely be coming back in the future to stay again. 5 stars ⭐️ !!

Always a great family getaway for us, we stayed at Eric’s last year and had to come back for the views and also privacy. Great place to unwind, recharge, and just spend time in nature. As always the place is spacious, clean, and kitchen is stocked to cook up the perfect meal. Definitely feels like home even away from home. Until next time!

Our stay was amazing, there was so much thoughts put into this house that exceeded expectations by far. Our kids slept immediately as soon as they hit their beds and so did we since it was perfectly to our liking! The area was quiet and calm like we had hoped and felt right at home. Our stay at the Serenity House felt way too short. Thank you for your hospitality.

Spent a week at the cabin while participating in a wildlife management program (x4). Cabin was conveniently located near the national forest and Pittville Highway and was a perfect place to rest and unwind after a hard day's work. Lots of goodies in the fridge and pantry, and we utilized the nice grill on the porch multiple times. The home was private and secluded - surrounded by nature. Loved seeing the deer and other wildlife on the property. The view of the stars was incredible, and we even got to see the aurora one evening. Sandi was a great host who gave us our privacy, but was always available for questions and friendly recommendations. We unfortunately didnt take enough time to explore the property, but it was a beautiful ranch with a pair of gorgeous horses. So looking forward to the next opportunity to stay at the Rocking K Guest Cabin. It really is a special place and met our needs perfectly.

Stephen’s place is the perfect little spot in Alturas, would highly recommend!
