My partner and I loved the earthship! It is such an interesting place and a great anchor for going on day (or shorter) cycling trips down the confederation trail. Also loved doing work inside because it was like the outside was inside with all the amazing plants. Jordan was also super helpful, responsive, and flexible with our check in/out. And although it is on a busy road and we had to keep the dogs on a leash (except when we were actively playing with them at the back of the property), the sounds of cars going by didn't bother us at all. So glad we stayed and would highly recommend going!

We had a great stay at O.U.R Ecovillage. The cob house was beautiful and well-kept, and Brandy was a warm and welcoming host. The space was immaculately clean, with lot of helpful instructions. We had a wonderful time touring the grounds and being inspired by the decades of labour that have gone into all the cob buildings on site, and spending time learning from and conversing with Brandy about her experiences in collective, eco-friendly living and liberatory movements was a real highlight for us. We'll definitely be back in a volunteer capacity and join for some of the many retreats, workshops and gatherings they have on site in the warmer months! Because we came in winter (and during a rare snowstorm!) the sloped driveway made it difficult to get into and out of the space, and I would recommend parking at the top of the hill should you visit in similar weather! The rental has a hot plate and kettle for simple snack prep, but plan to eat some meals in the main collective kitchen.

This place is amazing! We had so much fun for 3 days away from the city. And this place is dog friendly so extra bonus! The hosts are super responsive. We misread that they provided salt so we didn’t bring any. The hosts kindly replied to us and brought us the salt we needed the next day. Definitely recommend this place!

Sarah’s place is a lovely getaway on the Miami River. Walking distance to the village of Harrison. Cozy cottage! Would highly recommend.

August 2024, 1 adult & 2 children , g9 b7, Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it rained everyday and was cold, we tried to make the most of it, but camping is a gamble for the weather. The place is very nice, peaceful and secluded. outside the cabin the temperature was about 13 degrees or less at night, but inside it was constantly 20 degrees and dry. we had access to drinkable water, bbq, plenty of free fire wood, showers , toilets. at the lake there is plenty of water toys and space. the lake is huge and it's very quiet. Marc who was on site for support was great, and stopped by each day to check we had everything we needed. thanks Marc.

Melenie’s little cabin is magically beautiful. The wilderness around, the wood-finish inside and the fireplace give it the feel of perfect, peaceful relaxing get-away in nature. The kitchen is well-equipped. Lots of board-games thoughtfully left by the host. Place is clean, and host is very responsive. Everything is just beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Wished that we could stay longer. The only thing I would say is that the bed is snug in size (I think it’s a full bed, smaller than queen). The two of us did feel a little cramped on it.

Had a lovely girls weekend. The condo was even better than the pictures, beds were comfortable, the host has thought of a lot of little details that make it one of the best places in Canmore I have stayed in. I would recommend this to anyone coming to Canmore as a home base to relax and enjoy.
