We had a fantastic stay here for a couple of nights. The setting was beautiful and Michele was kind enough to let us explore the stunning garden and enjoy some of her home grown veg. The welcome couldnt have been warmer. The accommodation was clean and cosy and was perfect for us and our two small children. A perfect alternative to staying in Tekapo. We would loved to have stayed longer. Would strongly recommend this place to others.

As a university professor on sabbatical, the month I spent at Drew and Sally’s was exactly what I needed. A beautiful, peaceful, quiet place to write and the perfect place to be refreshed too. I wish I could give it 10 stars. More than anything else, my parents and I appreciated their kindness and warm hospitality. We were welcomed as though we were dear friends and were given many fresh eggs, produce from the garden, tales of adventure (Sally climbed Denali and Drew mountaineered and protected people in Antarctica), and walks with Koa, the friendliest and sweetest dog ever. I loved seeing the stars and Milky Way at night, the cute town of Geraldine with the Talbot Forest Walk, the biking/walking trail right by Drew and Sally’s house, the nearby Peel Forest and beach at Timaru, and great day trips to Lake Tekapo, Mt. Cook, and where LOTR filmed Edoras. I only stayed a month but I feel homesick and hope to return someday. We’ll stay in touch, Drew and Sally! Love from Laurie

This was a small but comfy cottage that was a great bouncing off point. It fit the two of us well. The views of the stars on a clear night are incredible, and we were even greeted by a flock of sheep. Would stay again

Loved staying at Meg’s place! It was a peaceful getaway. Loved seeing the horses and foals. Also enjoyed the very friendly dog and cat. The cat gets chatty when they see you and greets you when walking out to your car or coming back to the property. Facilities were great! Highly recommend and would stay again.

Very roomy farm stay with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Open kitchen/dining room/living room is great, and adjacent to outdoor seating and BBQ. Quiet and private, and near beautiful scenery and hiking. Wood burning stove kept the place warm on cool nights.

Beautiful cottage unit located on a working farm that was peaceful and serene. Had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to others. Met the host and she was absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here with my 2 best friends for a quick overnighter to get away from the city life. We loved this little hut so much! It had everything we needed and the bush walk nearby was really cool. I’ll definitely be back.

Shaun and Vanessa were wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming. We were very comfortable and we all enjoyed showing our little granddaughter all the animals. The breakfast was great and hot tub under the stars just lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you both.

What a beautiful home - inside and out! Very intimate and private location. All the animals are an added bonus to your stay. They’re so friendly and we were able to feed the sheep in the morning. There is a ton of space in this home, so perfect for a group or family. This is a short drive from the Greymouth Railway Station.. Highly recommend staying here versus a hotel in Greymouth (which was our original plan).

Sauna en grote spa op loop afstand van accommodatie en fantastische ontbijt met zelf gemaakte zuurdesem brood, die was zo lekker dat we het niet konden laten om het brood helemaal op te eten mat de heerlijke jam en verse eitjes

Amazing farm stay experience and the owners are extremely sweet and overall we had a great experience!

Edie and Alan were great hosts. We felt most welcome and our 3 year old grandson was delighted to be taken fishing with Alan even though we only hooked some weed from the river. A very special place. Fabulous breakfast with local produce.

A hidden gem of a place. Spacious rooms, large very well equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, very modern amenities. Luxurious linens and toiletries that you’d find in a 5 star resort added to the comfort. Tracy is a wonderful host and thought of everything to make our stay special and was readily available for any request. The mountain views are breathtaking. And, amazing stars on a clear night. Peaceful and quiet, away from the hustling crowds.

We loved staying at this peaceful cottage. The animals were awesome, the place was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was amazing, and it was just great all around. We loved staying there right after a long day of travel as it was a nice place to reset. Stephanie was very nice and welcoming. She gave us some good advice about getting around the country and was very clear about checking in/out. There was also a helpful book with walks in New Zealand which we read and got inspired by. Loved it all.

We had a wonderful stay at Caitlin's charming cottage after our long journey of more than 30 hours. The house is situated in a peaceful, natural setting, surrounded by friendly chickens and sheep at the doorstep. Everything we needed was provided in the house. Thank you, Caitlin!

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Refugium, sehr privat und voller schöner Dinge zum entdecken. Hier können sich alle - von Groß bis Klein - wohlfühlen. Es hat uns allen viel Spaß gemacht, z.B. die Glühwürmchenhöhle zu entdecken, während eines Bades im Pool die Sterne zu beobachten oder am Bach nach Gold zu schürfen und die Flusskrebse zu beobachten. Unser Highlight war eine persönliche Führung durch den Wald auf den Pfaden der früheren Goldsucher und zur Goldmine. Wir zum Land und zur Geschichte sowie der Natur viel gelernt. Fran und Grant waren tolle Gastgeber. Ebenfalls können wir den Tip zum Besuch der Carew Falls absolut weiterempfehlen. Der Weg ist einfach und der Wasserfall sowie die Aussicht sind unglaublich lohnenswert.

The pictures of the listing do not do it justice! It was the perfect place to return to after hiking. The host helped us set up the wood fire for the hot tub and showed us all the little touches around the property. We bathed under a clear sky with a bright moon and many stars. The home was beautiful and full of indoor plants that are thriving. The outdoor patio was cute and cozy. They also baked us bread and it was delicious! Best way to describe how I feel about the Airbnb is that I could definitely live there!

In our three week trip across the South Island of NZ this property was an absolute stand out. The design is stunning, the instant feeling of warmth and comfort . As the Danish would say it has 'Hygge' a feeling of coziness and well being as soon as you enter the space. Impeccably furnished with unique touches we immediately felt at home in the space, connected with the natural world but with all the creature comforts. We were lucky enough to be staying during clear skies and to marvel at the incredible star filled skies and see milky way from your door step was one of the highlights of our trip. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced, this coupled with the silence and lack of light pollution meant I had one of the best night sleeps of my life! Bravo to Andrew in creating an incredible eco conscious property with a warm beating heart!

Tony went above and beyond for us. We arrived very late from cycling in and Tony had got some of the most delicious pies for us as the town had closed already. Very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back!
