Really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful mermaid hideaway. It was pretty spacious, a real one bedroom apartment with a separate bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The only thing making it not a full kitchen was no stove. But it has a full fridge, a toaster oven, and a microwave, which was all I needed. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Good value.

Had a little staycation in hampton. I wanted something close to the beach (buckroe) and my massage/ reiki appt. Maia’s place was the perfect little spot to lay my head. The beach was even within walking distance and when I went, I saw some dolphins which was pretty cool. I went with Maia’s place after seeing the other reviews of how clean it was, I’m happy to say everything was accurate in Maia’s pictures and how other folks described it. It was nice having hosts that were intentional about thinking from the guests pov, even going as far to make a video for check in instructions to avoid any confusion. Every thing was clean, the hosts clean the carpets after each use and asks guests to take off shoes in bed area. Bathroom was spotless. They even had a couple board games/ uno for guests. Lots of closet space. The level of consideration felt like a hotel room without the hotel costs. Hosts responded quickly if we had questions. I would definitely stay again.

This was our third stay at Clifton, so we and our 2 dogs obviously like staying there. The location is perfect for getting around Matthews as we continue to explore that part of the region. Very nice stay and we look forward to coming back. Bart and Sharon Cameron November 2024

Very nice place to stay for our visit to Cape Charles. The spot is perfectly situated in the heart of Cape Charles on Main Street. Walkable to everything imaginable, including the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. Was happy that the unit is soundproof so could not hear anything that was going on out on Main Street. Everything was very clean immaculate and it was a super fun place to stay with the retro kitchen and oversized balcony

The house was beautiful and more than what we could have asked for the trip to our alma mater's homecoming (Hampton University). We were pleased with the condition of the home, check-in was simple and the hosts were very accommodating to an early check-in for some of our guests arriving earlier than expected. We felt right at home upon arrival and settled in nicely. Oh, and the proximity to Buckroe Beach was great., although we didn't make time to visit the beach until our last morning. We are grateful to have lucked up on this property so close to our trip. We look forward to booking this property when we travel to the area again, either for homecoming or family/friend vacation. For a single or couple, with a dog in tow, Thomas's apartment is perfect in every way- matched description so no surprises, very easy to get to and access restaurants or walking trails, clean, cozy and many necessities provided. We try to take our sweet Ralph (who is deaf) with us a few weekends a year, and this was an ideal dog-friendly option. The yard was fenced in and easily accessible from the unit. Thomas offered lots of options in the area and was very responsive. We felt right at home and will definitely return!

Great house to stay. Very clean. Golf cart is a must. Don't have to walk anywhere. We will stay here again or maybe his other house on the island. 😁

This home is absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Chesapeake bay. Even though it was cold the kids enjoyed splashing in the water with their rain boots. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at colonial Williamsburg. Afterwards we ate at Captain George’s, a place Tas recommended. It was absolutely worth it. I was also pleased with being able to make a good Thanksgiving meal. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. We would love to come back in the near future.

Had a great time staying at Lisa's home. The place was a very beautiful home and a peaceful neighborhood. Spacious living area as well as the bathrooms and rooms.

Good place to stay, the place was spotless when we got there. His team does a great job of cleaning to make sure you are coming to a clean stay.

The home is very welcoming. We were using this space overnight to go to a cruise. It was ideal. There are two shopping plazas across the street that you can get groceries from or go to the Dollar Tree. Each room was spacious for at least 2 people per room and the master on the first floor slept my spouse and I plus an air mattress for our 10 year old. Having 2 full bathrooms is ideal! Having cold water bottles in the fridge for our arrival was very nice touch! Thank you

Well equipped and clean. Beautiful surrounding by a golf course.

The house was very nice. Had a great time staying in it. Had creeky floor boards and the staircase handle was wobbling. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. I loved the backyard it was nice a big.

I had never stayed inside a host’s home before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Elinita was a great communicator and anything I needed was provided. She even loaned me a yoga mat and got a folding chair as the bedroom has no seating. She was exactly as other reviewers described- friendly, considerate, communicative. I was four minutes from my son’s house and would not hesitate to book with Elinita again.

Very good spot for a small family trip to Tangier (I came alone, so it was more than enough.) The house is spotless, and Travis has some extras there for his guests (coffee, water, fishing rods, board games for young kids on a rainy day.) Travis also sent me the phone number for an evening ferry off the island, which was extremely helpful. I had a great stay at Travis' place, and would stay here again. I hope to soon.
