The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

Cozy little place, great to get away from the busyness of the day to day.

What a beautiful cabin close to the Shawnee National forest and numerous other states parks and wilderness areas. We had everything we needed and more. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils, and the hot tub clean and spacious and oh so relaxing. The outdoor space is pristine, comfortable, and a great place to gather. We'll worth the trip!

WOW! The sunsets on this property were amazing. The amenities were a bonus and I am definitely booking this place again. The location was close to some neat hiking places. Overall HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing getaway!

We enjoyed exploring the many beautiful parks in the region, relaxing on the huge deck, playing pool in the game room, cooking together in the large kitchen, kayaking, frisbee golf practice, and hiking the property. We had a great stay with no issues and made family memories at this beautiful house. The house is set up well for visitors (e.g., light switches labeled) and has all the amenities one would expect when booking an Air BnB. Thanks for hosting, Mark!

This place was perfect for a little weekend getaway with my husband. The back deck makes you feel very secluded, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was very nice and of course the hot tub was a nice touch-the stars were beautiful. Great location to hikes and wine trails.

Jordan has a great place to sit back and relax. It has everything you need. We will be looking forward to our next stay here.

We really enjoyed staying here! It's in a very private and peaceful location. Lots of wildlife to watch. The cabin itself is very cute and cozy. We would definitely stay here again!

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

Mercede’s place is great. Plenty of room for me and a great space in the garage for my boat. Was able to park it inside and not worry about it like I do when staying at a hotel. Mercedes was very responsive to my questions and needs. This is my second time staying there and look forward to my next stay. Thanks Mercedes🙂

The cabin was just perfect. Exactly as Hannah described and well stocked with dishes, linens, extra blankets. Everything was clean and easy to navigate. We used the cabin as a base point for hiking at Shawnee National Forest and Giant City State Park. We came home tired each night and made w quick dinner in the kitchen and sat by the fire. The wi-fi was good enough for the kids to keep their devices going. 🤪 The beds were comfy and the whole experience was lovely.

The cabin was clean, secluded and very peaceful. We will stay there again when visiting family. Thank you Tom for a nice stay!

Nikki’s home was a wonderful spot to launch adventures with our kids in the Shawnee National Forest. We had 4 adults and three kids, and the space was just right for us. Nikki was super responsive, proactively reaching out to make sure we had what we needed. The home was just as described. The kids (7, 4, 3) loved the games in the garage and playing in the creek.

Miranda's place is perfection! Cozy, impeccably clean and peaceful. Miranda makes you feel welcome and provides her contact information in the event of problems or questions. It was a wonderful place to rest and relax after a long day at Rend Lake. Everything you need is provided; coffee, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The beds and furnishings are comfortable, and the kids spent a lot of time in the wonderful game room. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the "home away from home" atmosphere. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Perfect place to stay, very well kept

This place serves very well as a home base for hikers visiting the Shawnee National Forest

The house was as expected from the pictures. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable and sheets were soft. The bath towels were very nice. Really enjoyed the trails behind the house to walk with the kids and dogs. House was very nicely decorated and the kids liked laying on the fluffy rug in the bunk room. We did not use the gazebo but would be very nice to sit around and talk around the fire if we would’ve had time. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay even though it was quick. Keith was very accommodating to us as we had booked last minute. We felt welcomed and comfortable. If you enjoy unique experiences this is for you! The dogs on site are SO incredibly sweet. My daughter loved being able to see the chickens, goats and horses on the property. In the morning, the horses galloped by the downstairs window and it felt very magical. My family already would love to visit again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Great stay. Cabin is spacious and private. Nice firepit area and wooded property. Saw a few deer. Would recommend and would stay again. Convenient to Giant City State Park.
