Where to start. The place is far beyond what it looks like in the photos. It’s truly stunning. Hosts were amazing! We got in late and the fire was on, place was toasty and the hot tub had been fired up and was ready to go. The place was mint, stunning and the views were something else. Such a wonderful place and we will definitely go back someday. Truly the best Airbnb we have done. Thanks so much.

Our stay at The Good Life was lovely! The spotless converted barn felt instantly welcoming, with every detail thoughtfully arranged for comfort. Debbie was very welcoming and very helpful, offering great recommendations and thoughtful touches like heating the tub before we got there. The stunning countryside location provided the perfect escape. We were staying here to visit the Brecon Beacons, and the location was perfect, as it is only 20 minutes away. The highlight was the amazing hot tub—perfect for unwinding under the stars. A beautiful stay, thank you for having us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Carley was an exceptional host and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was stocked with anything you would need and plenty of extra toys & games for the kids. Incredible stay!

Nuthatch is the perfect peaceful place to relax and unwind. The log fired hot tub is really relaxing, particularly after a long dog walk through the forest. We loved the children’s story books for our 2 year old daughter. The wood burning stove was beautiful in the evening and our dog parked himself by it at bedtime. The cottage is cosy, comfortable with a modern wet room shower bathroom downstairs and well equipped kitchen . We thoroughly enjoyed our time and we are hoping to go back again for another family trip away. We did a lovely walk round to Bailsdon and found the Red Hart inn to be an excellent village pub. Meng was a superb helpful and friendly host, super responsive and made our trip really pleasant and memorable. The entire holiday will go down as one of our favourites. We also enjoyed an entire day of just sitting in the garden and watching the world go by. Clear night skies sat in the hot tub spying Mars and Jupiter were an added bonus. Superb place!

Jamie and Dan were lovely hosts and very welcoming. The property is on a steep narrow hill, but there is parking and its not a super busy area, so getting up and down the hills wasn't too bad. The property is beautiful, there are a few stairs to get up to the property and the stairs inside taking you from the bedroom downstairs to the living/kitchen area upstairs are super twisty and a bit of a squeeze if you're not slim and over a certain height - that being said, it's a giggle getting up and down and there's always the option of going in from the top door. The hot tub was already heated ahead of our arrival and was absolutely delightful to sit and relax in everyday. The property comes with everything you need and there's some lovely little furry visitors that greet you now and then as well. Marley the cat is beautiful, very friendly & loves a cuddle and there's 2 lovely dogs belonging to the hosts, who are super friendly as well. The area is easy to navigate. Lovely hosts, great stay

This is a lovely place to stay, everything you need from the property and more than you can handle from a location! Hot tub was fantastic, nice privacy, awesome views and great star gazing opportunities! We had one clear night and it did not disappoint!! Locally the walks great! We did the Skenfrith circular (All trails app) and finished it off at the Bell Inn for a deserved Cider or two! Would definitely recommend and return. Comms with Jeremy was really good and easy. Stayed here with friends and our 10 dogs. They absolutely loved the outside space and local woodlands and beach walks. The Cottage was just perfect , great layout and so well equipped it had everything we would need and more. The welcome basket was much appreciated after we arrived late and didn’t have time to do a food shop for breakfast. I can highly recommend the Red lion pub for dinner it’s very dog friendly and has delicious food. We can’t thank Jane enough for letting us stay with all our 4 legged gang it was a great family mini break and we hope to be back .

Sam was the epitome of ideal host. He was extremely patient with our questions and extremely helpful and efficient with any requests. The place was absolutely gorgeous and ideal for a quiet, private break. We will be back (if he has us!)

My family and I have stayed in two of these pretty cottages. Each were beautifully decorated and well presented, spotlessly clean, gorgeous bathrooms with full baths, kitchens were very comprehensive and each cottage I stayed in, even had a washing machine. The beds were extremely comfortable and we’ve slept in 8 of them. Rosie was just lovely. Friendly, easy-going, and noting was too much trouble. Rosie responded to my messages quickly and comprehensively. -Even when I asked if they could spare a drop of milk for my cup of tea. Gardens were well kept and extremely pretty. Local pubs were all great. We enjoyed a gorgeous meal at one, which Rosie actually called up and booked for us. I highly recommend these beautiful cottages and this lovely host. 15mins away from Barry Island for entertainment, yet situated in the most beautiful and peaceful surrounding Wales has to offer.

Our stay at Glyndwr’s was absolutely beautiful. The accommodation was perfect with everything we could have wanted. The hosts responded quickly with any questions we had and we were able to enjoy the area independently. We would love to stay again in the future!

Clean, quiet, cosy. In a perfect location for our stay with a selection of good pubs and restaurants. The accommodation was well presented and well stocked and worked out well for our party of 3. The house opens onto a quiet side-road, with local parking easily found and the garden had sun throughout our stay. Will definitely book here again when back in Cowbridge, or anywhere nearby. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Laura and Wil were very accomodating hosts with great communication. Despite having early issues with the internet, these were resolved quickly and they stayed in contact throughout. Our only slight gripe would be that some of the kitchenware and pillows could benefit from being replaced and parking can be difficult at peak times. Would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a short break in Cardiff.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over Christmas. The home is exactly as described and identical to the photos shown. Loved how responsive Meryl was to my messages and that she added some little Christmas touches for our stay. We found some lovely walks a short drive away and we loved exploring the area. The double bed in the main bedroom was super comfy and the home had all items we needed to ensure we had a lovely stress free break. Thanks so much Meryl. We will definitely be back.

Lovely home which was ideal for what we was looking for and in great location to where we was working. Amenities very good, kitchen well equipped for your needs. Could of been more information regarding local supermarkets and restaurants but on the whole it was a lovely stay.

Returning after a 2 night stay with at The Lodge. Place was as described, spotlessly clean with lots of finishing touches to make the place feel “homely”. From first contact, Adele was an absolute lady to deal with. Arriving very late at night she had left a light on and popped a jug of milk in the fridge for us so we could have a cuppa following our journey. I would highly recommend The Lodge and Adele and would hope to have the pleasure of staying with her again.

Sara Louise is a wonderful host, and welcomed us warmly. She is very helpful and knowledgeable and was happy to guide us when ever we needed help. You need a car to get into farm but by car you can get everywhere. In Risca nearby there are good shops. In the area around there are plenty to see both for guests interested in culture and in nature. There are also nice restaurants not too far. I warmly recommend Sara Louise’s place.

Fantastic peaceful stay in a beautifully located area. The accomodation was everything we hoped for from the details given on the website. The owners were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Detailed instructions were at the property for everything and Joe came to meet us to explain everything in more detail. Even how to get the fire going to enable the heating to work. They even came by each day to check the hot tub and set the fire up ready to light it when we came back Every detail was thought of within the property from milk in the fridge to board games We loved the geese and ducks on site We loved the hot tub and sauna room too The local pub and food recommendations and local places to visit were greatly appreciated too We would highly recommend this place to friends/family who want to get away from it all and totally relax with the benefit of being a short drive to nearby towns and visitor attractions if you need that too

Had a great stay at this Airbnb! The check-in process was seamless, making it super easy to get in and out of the house. The location was ideal—just 25 minutes from the train station, which is perfectly situated between Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil, making travel really convenient. For the price, this place is an absolute steal. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely stay again!
