As beautiful and peaceful as we were hoping! Such a great setting, very easy to find and super central to both Maya Beach and just a 20-min drive to Placencia. Publics grocery is 8-min drive south, and loads of close restaurants. We used the kayaks and even fished in them across the lagoon. Star gazed at night from the dock, and cooked in the fully equipped and stocked kitchen. Herbert provided absolutely anything you could ever need and then some. Seriously, not just sun block and bug spray, but like 3 kinds. Numerous different towels and beach towels, umbrellas, spices and oils/marinades in the kitchen, not only kayaks and bikes, but a fishing pole and net, multiple sizes life jacket, super strong WiFi, you name it. Great bathroom with big tub and strong water pressure. Sitting on the deck listening to the lagoon was mesmerizing. Obviously a lot of planning went into the thoughtful details and we absolutely loved our stay. Thank you Herbert!

An Unforgettable Experience! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house hosted by Sonia and Rene, and I can honestly say that this was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Sonia, Rene and their exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. The property itself is stunning. It is beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. Every room was immaculate and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The location was ideal, offering breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Rene and Sonia for being such wonderful hosts. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made our stay truly special. They were always available to provide suggestions and recommendations for our trip. And a special thank you to our Chef Rangel by far best chef I’ve had in all my trips.

we loved our stay private and gorgeous sunset views. Quiet location but walkable to many restaurants beaches etc. well equipped to stay in for meals if you choose. we loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

We loved house over the water! We especially enjoyed our very comfortable balcony to enjoy the bay, read and relax. The house had everything you needed and more, we used the kitchen, lounge areas and the rooms were comfortable with AC. About a 20 minute walk to the heart of bocas town and a taxi ride, e bike ride or water taxi to beautiful beaches all around the islands. Claudia and Marlon were very communicative and helpful hosts.

This house and the pool and the dock area are all wonderful. Very peaceful and was exactly what I was hoping it would be. My husband and I had the upstairs suite and my son and his girlfriend had the downstairs suite. There was plenty of space. The golf cart was a great add on. We toured into town and beyond a lot. The only negative was that it had rained a lot while we were there and it made the road very hard to drive. The 3 miles down the gravel to the pavement took us up to twenty minutes to drive. I seen on line that they fixed it the day after we left. Of course. We sat on the dock and watched the fish and stingrays. Pretty cool. We kayaked and fished as well. Everything we needed was there. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting a beautiful home with an amazing view.

Tracy Lee und seine Frau sind äußerst zuvorkommende, freundliche und fürsorgliche Gastgeber. Das trifft auch für die Comanagerin Ratka zu. Wir sind an unserem Anreisetag in das falsche Haus eingezogen und es war überhaupt kein Problem nochmal umzuziehen, da uns das für uns vorgesehene Haus auch stimmiger erschien. Für Badeurlaub und das Genießen von Ruhe bestens geeignet. Die Häuser sind exzellent ausgestattet, sodass keine Wünsche offen blieben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und bedanken uns herzlich.

Our whole family fell in love with this house as soon as we walked in. My 16 year old son said “this house makes me feel incredibly happy” and the rest of us felt the same. There is tons of space. Big kitchen. Multiple eating and lounge areas. Excellent stove with 6 burners. The breeze blows through the fully screened kitchen and living areas. There is no air conditioning but lots of fans and we managed just fine. This is not a cookie cutter house. This is a special house that is perfectly suited to relax and be one with nature. We kayaked from the private docks all through the canals and it was like another world. Loved it! The outdoor dart board was a hit too. Herbert was an amazing host. Very responsive and helpful. We were sad to leave and will always remember our visit here.

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Pearl to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a magical experience that far exceeded our expectations. First of all Arno is a fantastic host. We always felt comfortable, safe and welcome. His instructions were spot on. He was always available with suggestions and recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed We did two excursions with him which were the highlight of our trip. We did the fishing/snorkeling trip where we caught our dinner on our way to our snorkeling site, and a SCUBA dive trip which fulfilled a long time dream for me. Arno was a great guide and instructor. The cottage itself is just as the pictures show. It is so private and peaceful. When we first arrived. , Arno said most people spend the majority of their time at the cottage. He was right. We spent hours swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking right off the dock. Why go to a crowded beach when you have a spot like this all to yourself. Highly recommend!!

From the get go we felt very welcome and at home. Harriet and her assistant, Tia were both there to greet us upon arrival and settled us into the property. The cottage is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings and appliances and spotlessly clean. The setting is wonderful : pristine beach, extremely quiet and it felt like we were on our own island paradise. Plenty of furniture in the well manicured gardens, which lead straight onto the beach with plenty of options for sun and shade. We particularly enjoyed taking the kayaks out early each morning into the large bay area with still and beautifully clear warm water. Thank you Harriet for a wonderful and memorable stay in your beautiful property !

We loved staying there. Peaceful, quiet, the pristine water lapping Miranda was very helpful in organizing massages and boat tour ... and always responsive within minutes the entire experience was very relaxing ... highly recommend

Steve was really attentive and kind during our stay. His place was neat and felt like a second home. His instructions were clear enough to get us to the island within minutes. Me and my family had some wonderful vacations and highly recommend this place if you want to get away and go on a tropical adventure!🌴🍍

What a magical spot to experience!!! To wake up and go to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves was truly amazing! The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. The island had the most beautiful beaches we have ever experienced. The host was also extremely responsive and helped us with whatever we needed. The check in was easy and the staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed staying at Horizons. Laga and Sophia were very friendly and kind and helped us with all our questions and problems (e.g. what to do after a unwanted jellyfish-hug). The location of the bungalow is amazing and it has everything one needs to spend some time by the ocean and relax.

Wonderful stay. A really nice little cottage, just as described, very beautiful. The beach isn't super swimmable (lots of sea grass), but there are kayaks which were fun, and if you go far enough you can do some snorkeling. The area is so quiet and peaceful, the exact opposite of West Bay/West End. Great location for kids with the small pool, our kids loved it and spent hours there. You really need a car rental to get around and get groceries, there are few eating options that are walkable. We loved our stay!

Great getaway - Beautiful mix of having your own getaway where you are completely alone but if you want into town and enjoy the amazing town of Cayey (which has one the best Plazas in Puerto Rico on the weekends) you can in 20 minutes. Jerry was a great host!

Everything was great, but I'm glad we had a 4x4 because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get to the house. The space was beautiful, the hosts were great, and Don Tomas y Doña Naty were very attentive to every possible need. Absolutely amazing experience.

Leo and Brenda were amazing hosts! They truly went over and above to make our stay incredible. Fran’s meals were delicious and Juan and Dalia were super helpful. We pretty much agree with all the other amazing reviews. The road is difficult. We made a point to reserve and confirm an SUV through EasyWay rental car but when we arrived late at night they only had a passenger car that made our trip much more challenging. 100% not an issue with this amazing Airbnb but do yourself a favor and if you are renting a car, triple confirm that is is an SUV. I don't think you will need 4x4 or AWD but you will need the ground clearance of an SUV or similar. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Wow what a beautiful place that was very clean and easy to find and close to la Fortuna town. The walking trails are great to explore and overlooked in most reviews but do yourself a favor and walk around and enjoy the beauty. The hammock and pool were highlights and the king bed was super comfortable. Great kitchen and bathroom. Felt right at home and look forward to our next stay. Highly recommended.

Just a magical place! No, these are not "fancy" accommodations, but they are not meant to be. The cabin is intended to blend with the surroundings. You feel as if you are in the jungle yet steps away from the pristine Caribbean waters. Beds were comfortable and all amenities needed were available. If you enjoy nature, strolling and exploring beautiful landscapes, and combing the private shorelines for shells and other treasures, this place is for you.

LOVED the whole experience! If you have never slept over the water, this is your chance to do so! Breathtaking view! The food that was provided was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and would recommend to other guests! Thanks again for the amazing experience!

I loved staying at the eco lodge, being in nature without close neighbors, looking at birds and iguanas, and listening to the sound of nature, while being safe in the cabin at night. David shared shared local knowledge and history about the région. He is planting trees on the property and, it seems, doing his part to help maintain a healthy habitat for the monkeys (they need lots of trees and a wide variété of them). It felt very special to hear howler monkeys (they are most active early in the morning and before sunset). Though I did not spot any on the property, I biked to the nearby monkey sanctuary in the late afternoon and saw them there. I did not have a car and David picked me up from the airport (there is free wi-fi in the airport, which is helpful). I felt safe as a woman traveling alone and enjoyed a walk on the country side next the river. Though the pond is small, I ventured on the kayak and it was worth it. I got to approach an iguana and a big friendly rodent.
