Loved this lake house. Very clean. Great amenities, lots to do. Host was responsive. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I have stayed here with our pup several times. It is the perfect place for us. Big bedroom, comfy living room, great kitchen and an EV charger! The backyard is fenced so our pup can run around. This is always our top pick in the area when we are visiting. Michael is super-responsive and helpful, could not ask for a better host. This is my idea of a perfect AirBnB, and we have stayed in many of them.

William and Bryan’s place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! The amenities truly make this spot worth it. They really thought of everything! The house was perfectly clean and cozy, both William and Bryan are very communicative and nice, and the area is just gorgeous. We would love to come back when it’s warmer to fully enjoy the lake! Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay! Older home with some upgrades, but well cared for. Required a bit of dewebbing outside to be able to use the outdoor space, but that is living in the woods. Well-stocked kitchen, beds were comfortable. AC struggled a bit with the heat when we arrived, but caught up over night. Nice grounds overall. Boathouse and deck were nice. We would stay here again.

We had an overall 5 star stay here. The house and area itself is quiet and lovely. The hot tub and wood stove made the space very cozy. The views were amazing! Because there wasn’t much boat traffic or many neighbors around, it was very peaceful and quiet (there is probably more noise in the summer). Nearby uptown Roxboro is fun place to walk around visiting shops, bakeries and restaurants, even though it is small. And even though this is a rural area, it’s easy to get groceries. We also appreciated having soap and toilet paper and tons of board games provided. None of the house quirks bothered us, although in the summer months, being asked to limit laundry after lake activities might be more impactful on our enjoyment. We did have less responsiveness from the host than we are used to. None of our communication was a vital part of our comfort/overall enjoyment, but I do think it’s worth mentioning that since I’d be concerned if there had been a more serious issue to correct.

Patsys place is just like home for us, Tami and Darin are great people and the best hosts. We had a great time and will be back. Thanks for the treats they were awesome.

Lovely location. So well stocked with just about anything you may need. Be aware you are near a lake so there are some very fun squirrels to watch run across the deck but also some lovely lady bugs seeking shelter. But we enjoyed teaching the young grandchildren how to gently pick them up and free them outside. One of the hosts lives nearby and is very helpful.

Wonderful home, host & location. The home was clean, Belén was easy to contact. Would stay here again for sure.

We had a great time paddle boarding the lake and chilling on the screened porch. Went out for drinks to buoys to break up the stay.

I booked Tammy’s cottage on behalf of my mother who was visiting the area for a little over a week, and she absolutely loved it. The property was peaceful, spacious, and private, and provided great views of the lake and sunset. It was a delight walking out to the water in the evenings and seeing all the neat birds zooming around. The inside was bright and clean, and very well-stocked with everything she needed. We greatly appreciated the lived-in cottage feel, in contrast to so many modern, sterile rentals one often finds on Airbnb. Tammy was very thoughtful and easy to communicate with throughout the stay — she even made special dog treats for our golden retriever! Our only regret was staying during a particularly cold stretch in the winter, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the beautiful deck or get out on the water as much as we’d hoped. All the more reason to come back in the warmer months for another stay. This is a true gem in Orange County!

Our third stay, Linda's farm is beginning to feel like home. We love the windows looking out into the farm and see all the wildlife. I particularly love strolling the property and walking nextbto the lake. The park and town is very close and convenient.

I would have left 5 stars but there were a few things that were too noticeable to ignore. First, the laundry room and boathouse were filthy with cobwebs everywhere. The stairs leading down to the laundry room were not lit up at night and very dangerous. The lights that were supposed to light up the side of the house were not working. Was hoping to use the firepit. There was plenty of firewood but no firepit. It was on the side of the house in a rusted mess turned upside down. The Wi-Fi was horrible. The starlink router is at the boathouse and not at the main house. This made watching any TV or using your laptop or tablet virtually impossible because of the constant buffering and loss of signal. WI-FI should have been put at the main house where people spend the majority of their time. There was no toaster. Other than those things the house is very nice, and the view is amazing. This could be alot nicer if there was a lil more work put in it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Afika’s Beacon House is an art treasure on Lake Cammack. The location is perfectly situated between town and country here in the heart of North Carolina Piedmont. While still under some renovation during our stay, the house was warm and comfortable. All the amenities were complete, and what’s more, our host went out of his way to ensure that we felt welcome and were made comfortable the whole time. Be warned that one ought to be cautious of the wetland landscape alongside the lake, especially off-season. Visitors should bring and use proper footwear while hiking on lakeside city property nearby.

Cyndy’s location was so serene. The tree house was exactly as described. Very clean and “homey “. There was a full kitchen with made it easy to cook and clean. The location is amazing. enjoyed waking the sanctuary and absorbing nature. The walking trails were great for a light run and animal watching. If you are looking for a quick escape from the everyday environmental noise and congestion. No TV... Wifi available( you will not need it) ... No neighbors..... BOOK this place! I think I will make this a yearly mini-retreat for my wife and me 💕
