What a blast! This is the second time I've facilitated a group trip to Kristie's place for a weekend of pickleball, food, and laughter. I'm already planning the next one! The house and other buildings are well-equipped and well-kept and provided everything we needed to fully enjoy our time together, including a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining table we gathered around. Absolutely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again at this location in the future! The location is perfect, with convenient lake access and access to other nearby activities. The house is pristine & gives both vacation and homey vibes. Marsiela was responsive and easy to work with. I can't recommend highly enough and would definitely stay again in the future!

Stayed here overnight while in town for an athletic event. Check- in was easy, everything was exactly as advertised. Everything is provided- even snacks on the coffee bar. Crystal was super responsive to any texts getting back to me very quickly and was very friendly . Definitely would stay here again!

Had a wonderful time with the family, Tammy was a great host! Very responsive and communicative. Definitely a better fit for older kids (the hills 🤣), but Tammy had ALL the essentials for babies to be accommodated and right at home! And the littles loved fishing too. It was an excellent spring break for us!

Amanda’s place was great. Was conveniently 2 miles from where we need to be. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Neighborhood is excellent. Home itself was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. Amanda responded quickly anytime I sent her a message for guidance. Great host.

We had a fantastic stay, visiting family at Christmas! We all enjoyed the arcade games, pinball, air hockey, and foosball. The kids enjoyed staying together in the bunk bed room. We had everything we needed to cook, and plenty of blankets and towels. I love that there is a huge dining room table in the same space as the living room, as well as a large table in the game room, which allows for two separate gathering and eating spaces. The game room has a door that can close it off for privacy if anyone stays on the couch bed in there. FYI - If you have anyone with mobility issues, be aware that the ground floor has one step down into the downstairs bedroom, full bathroom, and game room. You can enter the game room without steps, and there is a half bath there, but there is a step up to get to the kitchen, living room and rest of the house. It would not be wheelchair accessible. The owner does mention this in the safety & property section. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and lots of space. Perfect for our family and very peaceful location. Karen is the best host. Very responsive and we had everything we needed.

Josh was a great host who communicated quickly after the property was booked and leading up to our stay. He also checked in with us while we were there to make sure all was good. The house was beautiful with a great open concept family room/kitchen that provided a perfect space to hang out with family and friends. The house was conveniently well stocked with all basic needs and was right across the street from a community center with a gym and sizable indoor pool. Overall a great stay and would happily return for a future getaway!

Great place to stay that was convenient for our visit to VA Tech. We enjoyed the workout area in the garage.

Fantastic location for walking to downtown Blacksburg and the Virginia Tech campus, and the park adjacent to to the house was great for our dog. The home was clean and very comfortable, exactly as shown in the photos. Communication from the host was timely and clear. We'd happily stay here again!

Dannie and Nancy are amazing people! They made our short stay so amazing and felt more like being at an amazing family lake house than a rental. The lake house is a little piece of heaven. I'm a disabled Veteran that struggles with ptsd and anxiety and being here was so good for my mind heart and soul. Me and my wife loved it and loved meeting Dannie and Nancy in person! we are already planning trips back and can't wait. we thank Dannie and Nancy so much and highly recommend staying at their place!

The house was perfect for our one-nighter in Blacksburg. The house was exactly as advertised (and much larger than I was expecting)! Communication was great. The location was excellent....a minute from the center of town and campus. I would definitely stay again!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and very comfortable. It provided everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

My friends and I stayed at Cindy's place for a Virginia Tech football game. The house was easy to find and is great for large groups. Cindy is a wonderful host.

Loved our stay with Jeremiah and Kim! The house was a home away from home where we were able to gather with our kids that are attending Liberty University. We made use of the various games in the living room and created some great memories. They provided everything that we could possibly need! Super comfy king bed in primary bedroom!

Another great stay at The Nest. We have been back to this location several times in the last several years. It is extremely close to our family that we can visit them every time we go down! We also are close to the town of Gap Mills and Union in which we visit each time. I can not express enough how amazing The Nest is and how friendly Thomas is when we plan our trips! 10/10 would recommend and 1000% will be staying here again and for the foreseeable future for our trips down!

Our family gathered there in the Forest/Lynchburg area for Thanksgiving this year. We found this property to be entirely suitable for our use in this way. The house is laid out well and we were able to enjoy our time together. Scott was very accommodating on anything that we needed and responsive when we had any questions. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying in this property again if we needed to gather in that area. Highly recommend this property to others whose group sizes are compatible with the house. Thanks so much for making us feel at home and for accommodating us while we were here.

This was the perfect weekend getaway! The house is beautiful - the charm of an older house with all the modern amenities. The house was spotlessly clean, beds comfy, and kitchen well stocked. The views from the house were stunning 360 degrees around. I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We plan to come back next year!

Peaceful is the best way to describe this retreat. We had 3 generations of family along with our active dogs and everyone had a great New Year’s holiday. The home was well cared for and the setting was serene. Close enough to obtain all the necessary provisions but far enough away that for most of they stay everyone just hung out together. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Nice quiet served our needs quite nicely. Well pleased with our choice to stay here. Anything you could possibly need or want is only a short drive away.

Loved staying at this lovely home and reading about the beautiful history of the house and family. My kids loved the twin bedroom and playing games in the common area.

The home works well for me and my family

We didn’t spend much time at the home due to being in town for a funeral but the home is beautiful! Very peaceful and quiet. The owner was responsive. It is a bit of a hike down to the dock, but it is beautiful, I would love to see it in the summer time. The hike back up to the house is rough, thankfully there are several places stop and catch your breath.
