What an incredible stay! This little farmhouse in Prince Albert was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning scenery and peaceful surroundings. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay feel truly special. Waking up to breathtaking views, enjoying the tranquility of the countryside, and unwinding in such a charming and well-kept space was just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended!

Centrally located in the heart of Sutherland. Very big house with lof ot bedroom, comfy living room, and bathroom with geyser provided. The host gave us many tips for road planning, restaurant and place to visit. The place also nearby to Sterland Stargazing and SALT

Perfect and beautiful spot for a stay over on route. The cottage is spotless clean and has welcoming sherry and everything you need to settle in. Both rooms are tastefully decorated with large en-suite bathrooms.

I had been dreaming about the farm for a few months . Imagining the stars, huge skies,Cape Fold Mountains, fynbos, birds, butterflies and farm freedom - it gave me all of this & new born baby lambs! My boys particularly loved the gracious gift of homemade bread and farm butter ! So delicious ! The farm created the sweetest feeling as we arrived after the exciting stunning drive up Seweweeks Poort with fire red walls of rock aweing us at every turn . We arrived latish at about 6 but it's still light in summer & the berg wind was exciting & dramatic. As I walked into Bergzicht cottage I was transported to my childhood farm visits in Richmond- it was the farm smell, the charm & magic of the artwork, decor simplicity my soul craved . Perfect annex - privacy from our teenagers, loved having our doggies sleep in front of the comforting fireplace . Walks in the fynbos up to the dam and koptjie with hounds surrounded by sunbirds beeeaters butterflies with the dramatic mountains : )

We spent two nights here. It's a beautiful, country location, excellent forexploring the local area. Wine tasting is a bonus, and enjoying the cool evening breezes on the verandah overlooking the valley. Great place.

Emma is an excellent host. The peace and tranquility are unmatched. The house is well equipped and quality bedding and towels are supplied. This was one ofnthe highlights of our trip to Prince Albert. I can highly recommend this place.

The property is beautifully restored and stylishly decorated, offering a perfect blend of charm and comfort. The swimming pool and air conditioning in both rooms were exceptional, providing much-needed relief from the Karoo heat. The lush green grass and inviting braai area added to the overall appeal. The kitchen, though basic, was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the hotel and nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning. The adorable dogs were a delightful bonus!

One word to describe this place and home, ZEN! Beautiful home with a welcoming feel. Relaxing atmosphere at the pool and walking the labyrinth was so calming for the mind! We loved our stay, and Ampie our host was really wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the restaurant “De Krans” close by. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay, perfectly situated as a half way point for our trip to Cape Town. Karen was lovely and communicated throughout, being able to order dinner for the evening was a nice touch and the lamb was great. Thank you for having us

This place was absolutely magical - the treehouse feels whimsical and Harry Potterish and the setting is outstanding . Be aware that this is a water shortage area - take your own drinking water and towels to reduce your use of their water . Wonderful walks and all so peaceful - next time we will stay longer !

This is a most peaceful and private farm cottage at the end of a very private road in a beautiful valley near Graaff-Reinet. You are in a biosphere farming environment where considerable effort is made at preserving the natural flora and fauna of the area. There is a lovely track from the farm cottage up onto the escarpment with never ending view’s across the Camdeboo. We had a most relaxing and peaceful stay there and would love to be there for longer next time. Thank you Tanya for making that special part of the world available for guests to experience.

Wonderful place close to nature. Delicious, Healthy breakfast. Christa is a star. The listing said wifi but it was not functional in Kernelia for most of our stay. T The wonderful bird life soothed our pain of not video chatting with our grand children overseas.

We had an amazing stay at the little Cottage and in the Lodge. It’s a very very beautiful place in the middle of the Karoo desert. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere and so beautiful. The houses and facilities have been very very clean and neat. They also had everything you need. Danie and his wife Narina brought a lot of little beautiful details into the house. The whole family is super cute, helpful and super friendly. I think this was the best air bnb experience I ever had:) Thank you so much🥰

I stayed during a very cold weekend and Retha’s place was so cozy! I had everything I needed, a lot of thought has definitely gone into this place. Thanks Retha!

The scenery was breath taking on the way to the farm. The accommodation was country chic...expertly decorated that makes you feel that this is home, this is where you can relax and recharge. Andrew was an excellent help and quickly answered my myriad of questions. I unfortunately got sick on the way to Andrew and Linda's place so I didnt get to take a walk in the veld but I did enjoy Linda's beautiful garden. I will have to make their place our next stop over place when we go to Cape Town again so that I get to explore their farm.

I booked the accommodation for a couple of weeks in a row for my colleagues who needed to do a project in areas in and around Prince Albert. Every week the guys ask me to book with Elize again. They really enjoyed their stay there, especially the roof terrace. They had everything that they needed to make their stay super comfortable. Elize is also a lovely, friendly person and it was a pleasure to engage with her. I'll defiantly book with Elize again when my colleagues are headed that way again!

What a peaceful stay! We enjoyed its quiet location, surrounded by the beauty of nature, blessed with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The little touches like welcome port, homemade bread, rusks and filter coffee was so thoughtful of our host and made us feel right at home. This stay is ideal if you want to get away from the hustle of a busy town but still have access to wifi. Thank you for a wonderful and restful stay!

Thank you Helena and Kobus for letting me spend a few nights in your farm cabin. The bread that you gave me and food prepared by Denise was really delicious. Simple farm living and yet amazing stargazing experience at night.
