The tree houses are amazing and the setting simply stunning. We arrived after dark and received a very warm welcome with dinner waiting for us. The people at Back of Beyond are delightful, keen to share their knowledge of the area and make their guests have a great time. Great place for an adventure and as a base for exploring the caves and Sigiriya etc.

What an incredible location, hosts, accommodation, and food! I need to give a special mention to Vihanga who was an amazing host and we had some amazing conversations and he helped me immensely with arranging transport for future trips, and also arranging a tuk tuk to drop and pick me up for the day. His Mother prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner was very reasonably priced too). I loved every minute of my stay - thank you! ❤️

The airbnb is built in old colonial style and situated in the heart of the town which is perfect for your stay in Nuwara Eliya. The staff is friendly and provided us with a breakfast to go when we wanted to go for an early hike in the morning. The room was very big and had two comfortable beds to sleep in. With good weather you can make use of the garden.

Ein super Ort, um die angrenzenden Berge zu erkunden. Vom Felsen auf dem Grundstück aus kann man super den Sonnenaufgang beobachten.

Heerlijk verblijf in de natuur. 25 minuten van Kandy, dus dichtbij de stad, maar wel lekker middenin de rust. Een aanrader!

ホストはとても親切でした。そしてとてもアットホームです。部屋は鍵があり、中にシャワーとトイレもあります。レストランも近くにあって、シギリヤロックまでは歩いて行ける距離です。とても素晴らしい日を過ごせました。

Wir haben zwei tolle Nächte in der Unterkunft verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfreich. Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern und schön gelegen. Man gelangt einfach nach sigiriya. Das Frühstück Vorort ist auch sehr gut. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit und werden wieder kommen. Nur zu empfehlen

Linton is a great host. He has built the property himself with lots of love. we loved the undisturbed natural surroundings of the property. The tree top open rooms were unique, Sleeping with the jungle noises is a experience not to be missed. Linton was very helpful with our food choices. Since we are pure vegetarian and do not eat meat, fish or eggs, and do not prefer eating in mixed kitchens, Linton was super helpful and agreed to cook a pure veg breakfast for us using our own pan.

Unseren leider nur sehr kurzen Aufenthalt haben wir mehr als genossen. Die Unterkunft ist nicht weit weg von lokalen Straßen Restaurants und der Berg Sigiriya ist nur 10min mit dem Auto entfernt. Man wird mit feuchten Tüchern und Getränk empfangen. Extrem aufmerksames Personal. Man kann sich Tag und Nacht beim Personal wegen Problemen und allem anderen melden. Die Zimmer sind wunderbar. Mitten in der Natur, mit Balkon im grünen. Aber Achtung, da es sehr (zu) sauber ist, besteht ausrutsch Gefahr in der Unterkunft :D sehr schöne Anlage auch mit Poolanlage. Wir waren überrascht, dass das Frühstück inkludiert war! Es war wundervoll angerichtet mit Erklärung zu den jeweiligen (typisch Sri Lankanischen) Produkten. Wir haben uns sehr sehr Wohlgefühlt und das vor allem dank der lieben, aufmerksamen Mitarbeiter. Danke dafür nochmal.

toller Mensch, schöner Ort der Unterkunft mit Blick auf die Berge. Die Gastfreundschaft von Jagath ist einfach nicht zu beschreiben. Klare Empfehlung und wenn man Fragen hat zur Reise oder anderem, kann er nahezu immer helfen.

The Forest Face Lodge was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Service and rooms are top notch and leave nothing to desire. We had some Tours while staying in Kandy, most of Thema starting pretty early. While many Airbnb's wont offer breakfast before 8, here they prepared it for us even at 6 AM! And it was great! The Lodge is located a bit outside of Kandy, so finding nice Restaurants nearby isnt easy. Luckily it s also not necessary, cause they offer great lunch and dinner options for a good price. If I return to Kandy again, I ll definitely choose the Forest Face Lodge again, 5 out of 5! PS: As mentioned, the Lodge is located a bit outside of Kandy which means that most Get-your-Guide Activities wont pick you up there,you need to drive towards the City first. But it was just a minor inconvenience cause nearby are always tuktuk s waiting and uber works fine.

We had the loveliest stay at Freedom Lodge - such a peaceful place and Asela and his family are so welcoming! The stay was perfect, just like the photographs and so comfortable & clean. We also loved the outside space with tables and chairs in the shade. Asela was an exceptional host, super friendly and communicative - he picked us up from the airport and even dropped us to Kandy after the stay as he is also a taxi driver - as well as helping us arrange tuktuks for local trips. We would definitely recommend Freedom Lodge, and would love to stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back to Sri Lanka😊

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft! Das Zimmer sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern, es war alles super sauber und man hatte eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders gut hat uns der Kochkurs in der Unterkunft gefallen, den ich jedem empfehlen würde! Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen, ich kann diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen!
