What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay in Herne Bay with a big group of friends for my partners 30th. Lovely and spacious perfect for the size of our group, lovely quiet area with lots of shops, pubs and places to eat all very near. Hot tub was a great touch to enjoy. Everything was perfect to cooking, baking a cake, having drinks and chilling in front of the tele. Lisa was a great host very quick to respond, felt very relaxed speaking to her and very helpful overall. Neighbour was very friendly. I highly recommend if there is a large group to book. All of us all said we would return especially in the summer with the kiddies to take them to the beach.

We had a lovely stay for NYE at Ingram House! The bar area was a great space to relax in and the dining room and lounge area were also lovely. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable! Highly recommend a stay here!

perfect escape 👌 needed a break from busy family life, this was ideal, as able to bring our pet dog. pool fabulous! gardens so well kept, friendly, peaceful, easy, totally chilled weekend, exactly as needed. thanks again 😆

Lisa was a fabulous host and her home was amazing. She was incredibly responsive and provided great recommendations for places to visit and eat around the area. The house itself was perfect for our young family—plenty of space, spotless, and well-maintained. We especially loved the warm fireplaces, which made the home feel cozy, and the family-style kitchen was perfect for cooking and being together. The beautiful country surroundings made for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay!

Host John was friendly and give us the privacy in thier back garden space. Kids enjoyed the games kept inside the house. Also good space to enjoy with family and kids. good beach themed house. Hot tub was fantastic and relaxing

Excellent communication and a lovely stay at Sophie’s place, which was a good walking distance into town along the lovely seafront. All double rooms were of a great standard and the communal areas were perfect for entertaining ourselves - loved the style of the place too, the host’s interior design background definitely shone through!

What a lovely place to stay. It had everything we needed to feel at home for our mini stay, the log burner was a great addition and worth the extra pennies (£10) during winter months. There were a few items to welcome us (tea, milk, etc), which we were very grateful for after a long journey. Thank you for our stay, we shall be back in the future.

We were 4 friends, a daughter and 2 dogs. We booked at very short notice (the morning of the stay) as our ferry to Guernsey was cancelled due to the weather. Rachel was very responsive to taking our booking and getting the cleaners arranged. The property is very beautiful and spacious with a larger kitchen and dining area. The entrance door is the smallest I have seen and it felt we were entering a large Bilbo Baggins hobbit house. Plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. Plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses and fridge space. We sat in the large lounge and watched the 6 Nations Rugby when it rained and had wonderful walks on a few beaches. There is an excellent butchers 5 minutes away and also fantastic fresh fish at a Hastings fishmongers. We had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday and I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely deserves the description of 5*. Beautifully appointed and very well equipped with thoughtful extras. Very comfortable bed and high end appliances. Exceeded our hopes and we’d love to return some time.

Wow, what a gem! I booked this property mainly because of the location - I was in the area visiting family and it was ideally placed. I also loved the look of the property and it didn't disappoint, it felt immediately homely and was very comfortable. What I hadn't reckoned on was the warmth of the welcome provided by Alexis and her family, from the home baked muffins waiting for us when we arrived, to the regular visits from her three gorgeous dogs. The children loved the treehouse and the donkeys, and Alexis recommended some lovely walks from the property, although our busy schedule meant we weren't able to take advantage of these - something for our next visit! If you're thinking of booking this property and you're hesitating for any reason, I urge you to go ahead! It's a truly special place with a wonderful host.

Nice stay! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, thoughtfully laid out, well equipped, and so close to great walks and heritage sites. The kids loved the indoor pool. The chalet is probably meant to be enjoyed best in warmer weather but Neil provided enough space heaters to keep warm. The electricity is run on coin meter- took about 6-7£ for 2 days in February, could probably get away with half of that in warmer months.

I must admit I was somewhat worried after booking and reading previous reviews but my worries were unfounded. the chalet was lovely and I didn't think it was dated. the kitchen had everything we needed, the chalet was homey and comfortable. There were extras like a clothes horse to hang wet towels and costumes, games, hand soaps and cream etc. My only slight niggle is that wifi isn't included. Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lyn's chalet and would stay again!

We had a few nights at Rea’s chalet during February half term, 2 adults and 3 little children. The chalet was such a cosy place, facing the sea, treating us with the sound of the waves to drift off to sleep. The sunshine in the morning was such an uplifting view. We had a peaceful time, the location is amazing- short distance walk to the beach, and the holiday park has everything you need for young travellers like a heated swimming pool, a shop with emergency wipes etc. Also, the kids absolutely loved finding the kids books in the book case, and some bath toys. The playground was right there next to the chalet. We are very grateful to have had the chance to stay there. Please note if you travel with little ones in winter months, the chalet may be cold to start with as it is not a lived in property, and the check in is after 4 pm, so suggest to pack thick socks and a warm jumper. If it happens to you, don’t worry it, will warm up in a few hours!

We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

Carrie is a fantastic host and we enjoyed our stay at her place. The cottage has everything you need for a long family stay. And families with young kids will enjoy extra stuff like high chairs and toys. There is also a nice private garden and the bbq area.

Absolutely fabulous!! What a perfect place! The location is superb, just enough out of the way to be quiet and see all the stars, yet close enough to the cities and transportation to get anywhere you need without a fuss. Plus the pool and the gardens!! What a fantastic treat! Alex was so wonderfully accommodating and helpful! She had all the little niceties, especially for a family, that made our stay just a little bit easier. Super clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better host or accommodations!

The cottage is clean, welcoming and quaint, with a log burner and beautiful Christmas tree glistening in the corner. We felt right at home straight away. There are plenty of games and things to do in the house to keep the guests entertained. The kitchen is well equipped for those who want to cook at home. It is the perfect place for relaxing and cosy winter getaway.

Great house to spend time with friends for a 50th. Very close to Canterbury which has lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. Also close to Chapel down and a couple of stellar pub do lunch out dinner. The house was everything we needed it to be and the pool was perfect!
