Super cozy and peaceful! We loved the trees and the rain and the smell of cedars. We stayed with our almost-4-year-old and newborn and the south beach was super walkable even carrying them. North beach was a little more of a haul but is drivable. Recommend checking the tide schedule because the beach experience changes a lot throughout the day! The cabin had everything we needed, even a great supply of toys for the kiddos. While definitely remote, groceries weren't terribly difficult to come by, we managed several day trips to see local attractions (but plan for about 2 hrs each way for a lot of stuff) , and even spent an unfortunate afternoon in urgent care. We discovered it too late in our trip to check them out, but also apparently there is a pick-your-own farm and also a big cat sanctuary on Harstine Island. The hosts were super communicative and helpful!

Perfect for our Multigenerational group! Space to spread out but also room to be together. There was a generous amount of things like towels, cozy throw blankets, and dishes. Well stocked kitchen and lots of games. It’s clear this is a family house, not a sterile air BNB. We loved it. I recommend bringing slippers as the game room floor was cold and they ask you not to wear shoes. Maybe slides for going out to the hot tub. And I did wish for binoculars because there were lots of waterfowl on the lake but it was fun to watch them anyway. The train is loud and close, but it wasn’t a big deal and it was super quiet otherwise.

Our family really enjoyed the cabin. We were greeted by deer in the backyard within an hour of checking in! Our kids loved having their own loft space and spent lots of time playing the old school Atari. The community is amazing, with nature trails and of course the clubhouse + pool. Excellent hosts as well!

This property was beautiful both inside and out. The host was one of, if not, the most responsive hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The view out the front of the house is stunning! The amenities were among the best we’ve ever encountered. Fantastic Airbnb and we’re already thinking about our next trip.

Beautiful spot at water's edge (depending on the tides!) Wonderful hot tub placement for views and bird/wildlife watching! We enjoyed it even in pouring rain with our cap hats on! Samah promptly answered any questions. Just a 5 minute drive to Penrose point State Park where we got a few miles walking the trails but otherwise stayed put at the place reading, talking, enjoying hot tub and views. Really appreciate they made the deck work for the gorgeous huge tree. Fabulous kitchen and nice coffee station with high end appliances. Loved the round window! And didn't use fireplace but it's pretty to look at. Note that if people will be sleeping in living room they'll want eye masks- no window coverings (and that couch is the biggest seating - we were glad we fit into bedrooms), and everyone might want ear plugs-- the wooden spiral staircase is really beautiful but also pretty noisy. Be sure to read info sheet on wall near bottom of stairs as you come in! Would stay again.

Absolutely Magically! The mushroom house is stunning in all the right ways. The surroundings are calming and peaceful. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I had a great stay. Stopped in for a night on my way up to Bellingham WA. Amanda was very communicative and even sent me farm eggs and coffee creamer the next morning. The cabin was clean and warm and you could tell the time and care put into the building It is on a farm and there are farms surrounding very private country cabin.

I needed a weekend away from just life in general... This was exactly what I needed! A quiet, clean, beautiful space to decompress from life and the stresses of it all. Kristie was a pleasure to work with! The space was small, but beautiful, well cared for and had everything described. The fire place with chopped fire wood was soul soothing! The dock down at the marina was breathtaking. Kristie even made sure to put chairs out on the dock so that I could go enjoy watching the water with a place to sit and take it all in. I even got to sit out by the fire and watch the deer graze through the yard for awhile. The peacefulness and noises from nature was phenomenal! This was everything I needed, I hope to visit again!

Wow! The photos were gorgeous but when you step inside, this place is spectacular. It was hard to decide where to relax…..in front of the huge statement fireplace in the coziest of chairs……in the loft with games and tv……around the fire pit outside with cool lighting and blooming plants all around…..or maybe if you love to mess around in a kitchen, you opt for the amazing cooking space equipped with everything you could want. We managed to enjoy it all. You will too! We used this fabulous home as a base camp for exploring Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. Next time we will bring bikes and take advantage of the great bike trail system located a stone’s throw from the front door. Finally, thanks to Chris and Ben for welcoming dogs with a self-filling water bowl! We loved it here.

The setting is gorgeous - nothing beats the view. And the home is spacious, vaulted, and replete with amenities. Great place to spend time with family or a group of friends. Kathy was always clear, timely, and helpful in her communications. Highest marks all around.

The stay was beyond perfect. Truly was a 1970’s time capsule that had everything we needed and more. If you forgot anything they had it. Tons of board games and activities to keep you occupied by the fire while looking out at the gorgeous view. Shell fishing beaches were 10 mins down the road. Could not recommend a better stay.

It was a perfect stay! There is a covered fire pit which we have been looking for. We enjoyed it even during the rainy season. Everything was great and well prepared. We will definitely come again.

Very beautiful home. I would highly highly recommend it to any family looking for a quiet and peaceful location by the lake. The fire pit was great too. Molly was very responsive whenever I needed to contact her and was more than happy to help out with my questions :) I’ll definitely come back during summer!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin with a gorgeous view. Beds and sheets were very comfortable, lots of nice new towels. Kitchen had necessities. It was great having a grill right off the kitchen. The pictures made the home look a little bigger but it was nonetheless a good amount of space for 5-6 people. We appreciated being able to bring the dogs and there were pet towels and a dog feeding mat already there. Kathy was great to communicate with and provided all the information we needed.

We loved Julia's cabin and farm. It was the perfect spot to reset after the stresses of the holiday season and to quietly celebrate my husband's birthday. The sauna was the real super start. Make sure to bring firewood and enjoy the sauna! This is a spot worth returning to.

Thank you for letting me experience staying at your beautiful unique tiny home. Close to everything! A great place to rest after a looong day of hike! The cabin got everything I need.

What a treat to be able to stay at this beautiful waterfront cabin. Pictures doesn’t do justice; the open concept makes this place a lot bigger than in the pictures. Place was clean, bed was comfortable and there are plenty of things in the kitchen to cook up any meals. We make use of the gas grill on our second day grilling up meats and vegetables for our dinner. It was a perfect weekend getaway from the city to just relax and unwind with my husband. Thank you Kathy for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin. Oh, I would bring house slippers because the floor are a bit cool without your socks.

We often stay in Airbnbs and have for many years. This is really one of the most perfect and magical, in ways we didn't expect. Yes, it was very well appointed, which is important given that there isn't a handy grocery store on Heron island. The space itself was magical, with lovely art and photography on the walls. The view out over the sound through old madrona trees was spectacular, day and night. Koshtra was a perfect host. We want to come back!

Amazing location and host. This place is DIALED IN! Brought my kids up to Seattle for the weekend and stayed here overnight before doing some activities in Tacoma. They lost their minds over this place. The two beds up in the loft are very comfy. Instructions are very clear, as was communication. Ill be booking this again when i make a similar trip with my partner, for sure.

This really is a special place that feels like having a mini-state park to yourself. Listing matches what’s described, place was clean and covered your basic needs with additional creature comforts. The surrounding view at any time of day was lovely (sunrise/sunset/night star gazing especially), and the waterfall was incredible (bring the trekking poles). Angela was a responsive and helpful host. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a relaxing weekend away. Sariah’s cabin was great! Super clean and stocked with essentials. The lake was right outside the back door basically. Beautiful scenery and quiet, peaceful area. I would definitely stay again!
