We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Canary Island! Pete & Kim are amazing hosts! The house was stunning, so beautifully decorated and the scenic view on the back deck is everything and more! We had everything we needed and more for our weekend stay, from complimentary coffee, soda, wine and water to all toiletries that we could possibly need. I loved all the personalized recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Pete & Kim went above and beyond to make my children's birthday extra special by welcoming us with balloons, snacks, birthday decorations & even added American flags for my son who is a Marine. It was so thoughtful and we truly felt welcomed. Thank you so much for helping us to feel at home!

The horses stopped by several times a day. It was magical. Just a short drive to the ocean where we conveniently parked our car on the beach. We had plenty of room on the beach. People were not on top of each other. It was a wonderful vacation! The house was spacious and nicely decorated. the kitchen was well stocked.

Great spot. Secluded back yard with plenty of seating. Amenities as described in the listing. Walkable to shops and dining. Donny was very responsive when I had a few questions. I would recommend checking out this home and Cape Charles.

Highly Recommend! My first time in Norfolk and I almost don’t want others to know about this place because it will be booked whenever I want to return. Peacefully neighbor and safe for women solo-traveler. The backyard is a dream and everything works great inside the home.

Lovely spot, well appointed with everything you need for a beach vacay. Super clean and organized. Comfy beds, awesome backyard, bikes and kayaks to borrow. We had a great stay!

Rene’s home was breathtaking. From early morning sunrises to witnessing full moon rise over the horizon. Beautiful and peaceful much needed from the chaos of life. Easy access to Williamsburg from the ferry small restaurants scattered throughout the county. Friends and family love the place so much that Rene‘s information was passed on for future stays. Thank you for reaching out with clear instructions, door codes along with prompt communications during the stay. I look forward to booking again this beautiful home.

Great location as it's within walking distance to downtown Cape Charles and the added benefit of being part of the Bay Creek resort. We had a great weekend getaway and will definitely be coming back.

We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay!! We loved the location (I mean bald eagles swooping over the water at sunrise kind of love) and our daughter loved exploring the beach with the shells. The house was just so thoughtfully stocked from the extra syrup to the little fire pit for the back. We felt right at home 🩷💚🩷💚

My husband and I spent a week at the beach cottage. The location is unbeatable, just steps to the beach. If you are not fond of the sand, you can sit in the porch and enjoy the view. You will not want to leave! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Cecilio and his wife answered promptly all of my questions about places to eat and things to do. If you enjoy fishing, the Ocean View pier (longest in the State of Virginia) is just a half a mile walk from the house, or a short drive. You can rent fishing poles, buy bait, and feel like a local. You can also get some crab traps and get blue crabs. The pier has a restaurant with a nice view and a full bar. The beach right outside the house feels private. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. If you like water activities, the cottage has plenty of beach gear, including paddle boarding, and kayaks. We wanted to relax and reconnect, and this place was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommended.

Deena’s place was actually better than pictured. Such great decor—we loved the colors and the owls. Everything was set up perfectly, very comfortable and relaxing. Terrific to be right next to the ferry, as we spent most of our time exploring Jamestown, Yorktown. TV, wifi worked well. Having kayaks especially nice. Deena was extremely communicative and informative and a all around great host!

We had a great time, John thought of everything you could need. Place was as described however it was bigger then we had expected. If your gonna be in the area it’s a must to stay at John’s. Even his staff was friendly and helpful, when looking for fish markets and with any questions we asked about the area. We couldn’t say enough good things! The place/grounds are beautiful. Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

We loved staying here! The location was absolutely beautiful and the Airbnb was spotless and so cute. We will definitely come back again!
