We had a superb one night stay with Sally and Murray on our way to the Banks Peninsula. They were flexible, helpful and very welcoming. We enjoyed chatting to them, the breakfast was delicious and the garden was a tranquil haven. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Tom and Kat were amazing hosts! Great communication plus our arrival was seamless. Their property/house was absolutely stunning and was perfect for our stay. If we are ever in Christchurch again we will be staying here.

It was fun to see all the animals and the standard breakfast provided was lovely. Hot tub on a clear night is a must! There's also a pretty clear view of the south if you like taking star trails.

This house is LUXURY! We had the best Hen weekend for my friend, I can't recommend this place more. The house and surroundings are beautiful, Annabel is super helpful and left so many lovely touches in the house to make it feel homely and cosy. I hope I have the chance to stay here again in the future.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We loved the peaceful, quiet, rural location. The house was charming; very clean, cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a couples retreat. We loved having the alpaca farm as uphill neighbors! The grandstand porch was wonderful, with a spectacular view of the Onawe peninsula sacred space. It was an amazing place to watch, listen, and enjoy countless morning and evening birds. We hope to return someday. 💚💜

Cozy & lovely space on a sweet farm. Angela is super friendly, she took us to watch lamb sheering and feed the animals. We had a great stay!

It was great! Perfect for 2 people and we had everything we needed for 1 night. Romantic for a night away with the partner and it feels private enough without actually being too far from their main house, we felt safe and secure.

A peaceful, private home away from home. Very spacious. Lots of drawers and wardrobe space to put all your stuff in. Handy to Tai Tapu wedding venues but also only a short drive from Christchurch. This was our second time staying here and we'd happily stay again.

5 Stars - Exceptional Extended Family Getaway! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property — it was everything we hoped for and more! The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it perfect for a relaxing family retreat. Our children especially loved interacting with the friendly farm animals — feeding them was a highlight of their day! The outdoor BBQ area was a great spot for family dinners, and the hot tub and sauna were such a treat for the adults to unwind after a day of exploring. The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, with great attention to detail that made our stay feel special. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and designed for comfort. Highly recommend this place for families looking to experience nature with a touch of luxury. We’d definitely love to return!

Sarah's place was perfect. We were staying for an event in Lyttelton and taking the ferry across was perfect. It was peaceful and had everything you could need. Lots of interesting books, art and so comfortable. I definitely recommend this place for a stay.

Farm view was lovely, and the jacuzzi was the perfect spot to unwind at any hour. Anjela and her husband went out of their way to make us feel at home—thoughtful touches, friendly conversation, and top‑notch hospitality throughout. Highly recommended for anyone seeking relaxation and great hosts!

We had a wonderful time at Denise and Regs place and they made us very welcome. Wonderful spot, beautiful garden and great trail path which was such fun to explore. Accommodation was perfect and all we wanted and would have love to stay longer. Loved the local area so picturesque and beautiful

Brie's place is seriously a gem. Waking up opening the door overlooking the balcony to the backyard farm was quite spectacular for a city guy. Everything is clean and perfect. The design of the interior makes it feel like home. I find that just by looking both outside and inside the house, brings a certain calm and peace. This is the where the value lies. It's also just the right distance to go to town (by car). And the apples in front, is really sweet and fragrant, almost like a perfume. We took one and ate it, it was amazing. I wish I knew it sooner so that it can be our breakfast (if allowed by Brie, ofc). To put it simply, it's the best blend of nature and modern. Seamless transition between inside and outside. This is one of the best place I've ever stayed on.

Château Pritchard The best BnB I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at so far! Barbara is the best and she is absolutely amazing! She would go the down the extra mile for you and helpful with basically anything! Just ask. The host is extremely efficient, pleasant and friendly. I’ve even called her my fairy godmother. She designed my bridal suite way above my expectations and it was absolutely stunning! We’ve booked in for 2 nights for my bridal suite plus all the other 2 rooms a night for the entourage. Chateau Pritchard is absolutely gorgeous place, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Amenities were so great. High quality rooms and high quality service. Excellent property and very convenient, spotless and has a fantastic vintage charm. This is the perfect spot for a wedding/entourage accomodation, special occasions or simply a weekend getaway from the city but you don’t need to drive miles away. I have stayed at dozen of BnB in NZ. This was on the top of the line. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. Never ever hesitate to book in Chateaux Pritchard for your special events or intimate occasions. Lovely home in a beautiful private setting. Great to be able to sit out on the porch relaxing reading a book and listening to the stream below. Amazing star gazing too!
