First Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Great location (very quiet), clean, everything you could need and very homely. Janice was a great host and all instructions were clear. Great holiday, good value for money and would definitely recommend. Melanie.

Its a beautiful house. Host was so very friendly and helpful. House is spotless , clean and well decorated. Everything was just perfect and we felt like a home.

Such a beautiful cottage with amazing views, it definitely exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, very quiet and peaceful and only a short drive to Carlisle for shops/restaurants. I’d definitely go back and recommend for a trip away in the lakes.

We all had an amazing time ! Plenty space for our family of 11 and 3 dogs.

Beautiful house with so much character. The location was so peaceful yet close to Dumfries where we were easily able to get take-out for dinner. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way home but we found the house to be comfortable and well-equipped. The milk and water in the fridge plus all the seasonings/spices in the kitchen were such a nice surprise that we don't often find in AirBnBs, as were the very nice bathroom amenities. The only thing I'd mention - our daughter had us up at 5:30 am because there are only curtains, no blinds/shutters, in the bedrooms and, although the curtains are thick, it was still very bright in the bedrooms as soon as the sun started rising, which is very early at this time of year. Just keep this in mind if you're coming with young kids who are light sleepers!

We had a wonderful time staying in Paul’s place in Cockermouth. Paul was a very responsive and helpful host. The house was great - we had everything we needed (family of four), it was quiet and private, whilst being in very close walking distance to all of Cockermouth’s restaurants, bars and shops. The whole stay was easy, relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. We will definitely look to stay here next time we visit Cockermouth and The Lake District.

The place was beautiful and very welcoming . It felt like home almost immediately. It's located in a very private setting and we loved the river at the back of the property. We had a few teething issues to begin with as we had a wasps nest outside and the occasional power outage when the switch tripped on the fuse box but the host, Cheryl, was very quick to respond and helped resolve things straight away. She even offered to give us an extra day for free but because we had work the next day the option of a late checkout instead was very welcome. I would highly recommend this place and Cheryl was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Cheryl!

Really cosy little cottage in a lovely little village with plenty going on. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and lots of activities in the surrounding area to keep you busy! Nancy is a great host who was able to provide lots of advice on things to do and her guidebook was great for booking meals out! Will definitely be back

We had a wonderful few day’s stay in the Lake District. The cottage was just perfect for our visit and we couldn’t have wished for more!

Robin communicated promptly and was super helpful. His cottage is ideally located - a quick walk into Ambleside, but away from the centre and very quiet. It was clean and cosy. Perfect for a great walking holiday.

Well located flat in central Keswick - on street parking but we had no trouble on Easter weekend finding spaces. Well stocked with everything - great to have milk/tea/ coffee bags :) Big shower but narrow to get past bath to get to it ( see photos so not unexpected). Looked recently renovated so pristine clean. No window in bathroom so faint damp smell sadly but lots of air fresheners. There was a little back garden which would have been lovely to use if a little warmer. All in all great stay for 5 nights.

We absolutely loved our stay at Siobhan’s apartment! Cosy, comfortable and stylish, we felt right at home soon as we arrived. The apartment is in a fantastic location in-between Windermere and Bowness, both are within walking distance which is a real bonus! Check in was a breeze and the welcome gifts were very thoughtful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if holidaying in the area. Thank you for having us stay Siobhan.

Church Street was a lovely place to stay, good layout, comfy furniture, plenty of room and all very clean. Location was good for us, 10 mins walk into the centre of Keswick or the lake. A great base for exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Excellent location. Lovely flat. Special mention to the quality sharp knives and generally very well stocked kitchen.

Very handy location as a base for a few days walking the local hills. I didn't have the time to try out some of the amenities such as the sauna. The accommodation was spacious and well presented.

The farmhouse was beautiful, with a gorgeous setting and the hot tub was very relaxing. Will deffinately stay again.

We had the most amazing time at this stunning location. We had a small intimate wedding in the garden and the sun was shining. The house offered the perfect setting and was everything we could have wanted. The place was absolutely stunning. We were awestruck by the gorgeous interior. Visitors can expect a fantastic time staying in the accommodation. However, having a vehicle to travel is a must. There is parking available. Indoor heating (radiators) is provided in every room and common areas. Fireplace was used during our stay in the winter season. The host is very responsive and friendly. While the location provided is accurate. The drive up to the accommodation can erroneous as google map did not consider the closures at Forest Drive. Hence, it will be good to check with the host properly.

A great place to stay with family to explore the lake district. It's a perfect hideaway from the city. The house is very beautiful and there are lots of different spaces to huddle up with your family. It was luxurious yet homely.
