Maggie‘s cabin was lovely and peaceful and truly had everything we needed. It was like your favorite sweater: clean, cozy, and comfortable! One of the best things about the cabin was how welcoming it was for our whole family. There were games, movies, extra blankets and pillows, and even hot chocolate for the kiddos. And we loved that there were blankets to cover the furniture so our dog Luna could feel at home too. She especially enjoyed the screened in porch! The wood floors and beams gave it a true cabin vibe. The surrounding woods, creek, and covered bridge were magical. My crazy kids wanted to swim in the creek(it was in the 40s!), I told them we would have to come back in the summer for that,Lol! The fire pit was a better choice, and perfect for chilly evenings. We enjoyed making s’mores every night. Everyone loved the cabin and can’t wait to come back. This was our first time renting a house and this cabin will be hard to beat! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Maggie!

Amazing place to stay. Every aspect was so clean and the host was very responsive and helpful! Such a neat place, we loved every minute of it.

This was our third visit to Parksland. As always Dusty and Emily were welcoming and gracious hosts. The new hot tub and sauna were absolutely amazing! We spent most of our time either out in the woods down by the stream or chilling around our campsite. And though it was a bit on the cold side in the evenings, our tent was outfitted with a little wood burning camp stove that kept us toasty warm. I can’t imagine a better way to close out our weekend trip than joining our hosts for a delicious brunch prepared by Emily and served Horigotatsu style. Due to the seclusion of the property and the relaxing atmosphere, we always leave Parksland feeling thoroughly rejuvenated. I can’t wait for our next opportunity to visit!

This was one of the best places I have stayed. The host is so extremely friendly and very helpful. We even had cookies waiting on us when we checked in. We asked about a blender and they allowed us to use theirs. It’s extremely well kept clean and very well maintained. Will definitely be using again for our hospital and doctor stays.

We had so much fun. My two sons said they wanted to live there. The beds were so comfy.

This house was a perfect place for our group of 8 to relax. Even in the winter the backyard is gorgeous and so many amenities and activities to enjoy. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out. The kids loved having the bonus space to their own and the adults loved having some peace and quiet. Our host Brad was quick to respond for questions and we had a fantastic time. The House is incredibly stocked with so many little things that you never know you’ll need, until you do We’ll definitely be glad to come back.

Cap’s Caboose (and the Night Deposit) was the best stay!! Shauna has put in so much time and effort to decorate and care for her properties, and her hard work has paid off. The caboose was the perfect amount of space for a couple on a weekend away from work and a convenient distance away from Cheaha State Park. What I really want to highlight though is Shauna’s thoughtfulness and care while we were guests in her property. Our trip was planned for the weekend of March 14-16 when several storms came through with forecasts of tornadoes in the region. Shauna reached out early to offer us a different property of hers for the 2nd night of our stay so that we could have a storm shelter if necessary. Thankfully the tornadoes missed us, but we felt so much safer knowing that we had shelter, and that she has our best interests at heart. If you’re at all on the fence, book your stay with Shauna!
