Basement apartment in a pretty neighborhood with lots of deer and squirrels to watch. 🐿️🦌 Darby and Tim showed consideration by leaving lights on for our after dark arrival, removing scented candles for our allergies, and running an air purifier. The self-check in feature was smooth and well explained. If you’re a heavy sleeper, this will be a perfect place to be. Since the stay is on a lower level, there is noise overhead, especially in the early mornings (people and pets). We had privacy and were able to be left alone unless we needed to ask anything. Very friendly hosts.

Gloria and Bob’s lake cabin is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing places we’ve ever stayed! My wife and I went for our 1-Year Wedding Anniversary, and their place was perfect to unwind and spend quality time together. They welcomed us with such a thoughtful anniversary gift upon arrival and were incredibly accommodating to us when we had some personal car problems. The people in this town, and Gloria and Bob, are true testaments of the word “hospitality”. Highly recommend and will most certainly be back again.

We were right where we wanted to be. We planned the trip for pleasure and, after Helene hit the area, changed our plans to a mission to provide aid. We easily found a local church that accepted the donations we brought from friends and family on the MS Gulf Coast and distributed them to the devastated areas hardest hit by the storm. We visited Hayesville, Murphy, and Franklin enjoying the local restaurants and shopping but mostly just enjoyed relaxing at Faraway Cabin, cooking and enjoying the outdoor fire pit.

Beth was wonderful in the booking process. The home is perfect for groups! We had a group of eight but the house was large enough for a lot more people. Perfect location for a family reunion! There were four couples in our group who came up to float the river. Beth was very responsive to all my questions as I tried to herd all of the cats in my group. Great tubing company close by called West Tubing Co. which Beth recommended and was delightful. Hope to be back again soon. Thanks again Beth!!

Absolutely wonderful! It was just my husband and I, but this place would be awesome for families or several couples. Lots of room, fun games, well stocked. The views are incredible - so peaceful and relaxing while staring at the mountains and the lake. Highly recommend!

A gorgeous mountain retreat. The exceptionally well appointed kitchen is a stand out feature if you are someone who enjoys cooking - all the cookware and small appliances (as well as serving ware) you could want. Many, many small extra touches that made the cabin feel like a home instead of a hotel.

Barbara and Ron were great hosts and greeted us when we arrived. They had a great place with a beautiful environment, and we had many deer and turkeys to see every morning and afternoon! Would definitely recommend for anyone who has a large family and wants a peaceful place to stay, and is also nearby a great little town and other major points of interest in the area.

Our Family stayed at the Hacienda Roja for a Christmas Vacation and we loved the place. We had a wonderful time there. There were plenty of things to keep everyone entertained (including teens) and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We didn't even leave the house once we arrived. The house was clean and beautiful. It has an amazing view from the deck. We would definitely stay there again.
