We had a fantastic stay! The host was extremely courteous and responsive, making the check-in process seamless and hassle-free for all of us. The home was well-maintained and set in a calm, serene environment—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The deck overlooking the lake was definitely the highlight of our stay, offering a breathtaking view of the fall colors. We all agreed that we would definitely recommend this place to our friends & family and are looking forward to coming back again. It was an amazing experience for everyone

Patti was always very responsive. Her beautiful home had everything! Comfortable beds, lots of bath and beach towels. Kitchen fully stocked. Everything from bug spray to sunscreen. You name it she had it! We had a blast at the Clinton County Fair, Lake Placid and charted a fish boat for the day. Everything we wanted 😀. Not many restaurants around, but that’s ok. The pictures online don’t do this home justice. We will be back!!! The Celli Family -

Very comfortable house in a beautiful lakefront setting with private beach and dock directly across a quiet street. Perfect for a family with pets, with its fenced in back yard. Car charger was a major bonus. Great location, quiet and private. Incredible sunsets from the front yard. Note that 2 of the bedrooms just have bunkbeds, one was a former sunroom with no shades. Food shop before you come, and bring your own condiments!

this is a great Adirondack experience. we saw a porcupine and caught plenty of perch and fried them over the fire it was great! It is a great place for swimming and fishing. the children did a littleswimming but it was a littlecool for that in September. If you want a rustic experience without all the modern luxuries this is definitely for you.

We stayed on Carlos’ yard for the viewing of the eclipse. We made sure to read the listing accurately, and brought our own portable toilets which was easy peasy. There were people working on the house when we were there but they were courteous and friendly. We were able to set up four tents, but would have had room for more. It is connected to farmland, so keep in mind the nature that comes with that! It is less than 5 minutes from a gas station, small restaurant, Dunkin’ Donuts, a dollar store and the beach. While there, we hiked point au roche state park, and HIGHLY recommend checking it out. Overall, it was a great trip!

The recently updated mobile home is exactly as the photos portray. Jenny was super helpful and an excellent communicator. The unit is cozy and ideal for a single person or couple. The second bedroom is only large enough to accommodate a child's twin bed. It has stable, high speed internet clocking at +125 Mbps, often times at 133 Mbps which allowed me to telework, take video teleconference calls, and stream media on the Roku TV. The kitchen has all the basic amenities including, should you ever need them, many large mixing bowls and stock pots. Being slightly elevated on the camp's hill, you can enjoy the view of the lake from the stone patio equipped with Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, propane BBQ and an outdoor dining set for 4. It's a great value. Highly recommend!

The view is breathtaking! My family loved it. One small problem was toilet paper. We had to buy extra as the 4 rolls at the house didn’t last for 7 people. Again the house was great and the location perfect.

We had a great time and loved the place! We really enjoyed the many gathering spaces in the house and the private beach. We were glad we had read previous reviews about the house not being quite equipped for the number of people it sleeps. We extra lawn chairs for the beach, our own tank for the grill, etc. There were only 6 dinner plates despite it sleeping 8 so we ran to the store for paper plates. Overall, a great stay at this place!

The place was perfect. It was in a great location to travel around and the host was very responsive and helpful.

Stay was exactly as expected. Very quiet and peaceful setting. I spent time in that area as a young adult so, I knew what to expect. The only thing we’d say is at that price point, it needs some upgrades. Like a new gas stove and either a coffee press, Keurig, or an ADC. Other than that, the Stay is great!

We had a wonderful stay! We were able to check in a bit early which was helpful. Hosts and neighbors were super friendly. The view of the lake is beautiful!

We had great time in Deer Cabin. Sherie and Joanne, you are wonderful and caring hosts. Cabin is full of blankets and Joanne on our first, quite cold night gave an extra blanket to keep us warm. We love the rustic character of the cabin and amazing view of the lake from almost all corners of the cabin. Our favorite thing was sitting on the porch on Adirondack chairs facing beautiful, crystal clear Chazy Lake. Spending a day kayaking and swimming, watching spectacular sunset over the mountains was fun and relaxing. Memories from our time in your place will stay with us forever. Paul, our host, was lovely. Easy to communicate with, and made sure we made it okay. The room was spacious and simple. I appreciated that Paul left us a jug of water in case the water from the pipes tasted too much like chlorine. The space is not super well insulated, so it does get cold pretty easily, but the room had a space heater available and Paul very quickly provided me with a smaller one when I had difficulty with the first. The location is beautiful, and it’s super simple to get down to the water to enjoy the view of the lake.

Perfect Perfect Perfect!! Our large contingent wanted to spend time together while on Grand Isle for a family wedding. We could not have found a more perfect spot than 29 West Shore. Large enough but also homey, we could gather together or spread out easily. The home seemed to hug us and/or expand as needed. A beautiful view and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy it. The kitchen is well equipped with open space across the counter to chat with folks at the table. I could go on and on, we certainly hope to return. Thank you Susan!!

This was a great place for my friends and I to spend an extended weekend! Hans was great and always responded to questions/requests quickly. I will say the previous reviews about the water smelling like sulfur are true but we just brought our own water and it was fine. The lake was great and we had beautiful star gazing views from the dock! We would definitely stay here again.

Hi! I rented this house for a 5-day, 4-night stay with a group of friends (+my dog) back when it had absolutely zero reviews. Boy what a smart choice I made! Brian and Beth were super responsive, and the house was incredibly cozy. Just enough space for each guest to have their own room, plenty of bathrooms so no one felt rushed or cramped. The kitchen & dining room were made for gathering. And wow the front enclosed patio and lake access were out of this world. Boats, games, Adirondack chairs lakeside and at the backyard firepit, a TRAMPOLINE (!) and more cozy blankets & towels than we could possibly use in a weekend were all made incredibly accessible. This place had it all. Do not hesitate to book this home for your next friend/family gathering... but don't tell anyone else about it because I selfishly want to be able to book this place again and again and again for years to come. Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!
