We had an absolutely amazing stay at Shaun and Brenda’s place! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The property is stunning, beautifully maintained, and offers a perfect blend of comfort and relaxation. The highlight for us was the hot tub—such a wonderful touch that made our stay even more special. Everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, making it a truly memorable experience. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Even with the gondola being down in kicking horse at the moment, we are glad we never changed our plans and kept our great reservation at the Smiley Wolf! Karen was a great host. She gave us plenty of options on how to set-up the rooms to better accommodate us. The chalet was exactly what we expected and we enjoyed our stay. The hot tub is great for after skiing, and hearing the wolves from the sanctuary howl at night is a bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed, including olive oil and spices. There are stainless steel pots and pans, Karen contacted me one day while we where on the mountain, asking if she could come by to grab our garbage and service the hot tub. When we came back, the dishwasher had been emptied and the kitchen was all clean. It was definitely not necessary, however, greatly appreciated ! Overall we had no complaints and would definitely return if we go back to Kicking Horse.

Great lil cabin for a ski getaway! Had everything we needed. The hot tub was a big bonus and a wood burning fireplace inside was great! Nice and quiet, tucked away in the woods but nice and close to town and the ski hill. 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 single bed. Sherri very communicative and great host they live close by.

A beautiful location for a family getaway to spend the Thanksgiving weekend! Space and room for everyone and a large deck to enjoy! A well stocked kitchen and lots of extra touches to make the stay comfortable and welcoming! We loved being right on the water for kayaking and we did a couple local hikes too! Barbara was very communicative!

The cabin and surrounding area were amazing! Was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed. There was so much wildlife to see from the large windows. So many deer just grazing on the property, was very cool to just sit and watch them go about. Richard was an excellent host and Watson was very adorable. Would 100% come back and stay again. Felt right at home in this cozy place. The town of Golden was great to explore and had so many great eateries and surrounding activities to stay busy.

we really enjoyed our stay at Hideout Cabin. the hosts were very responsive, helpful and kind ! the place was adorable, the hot tub and fire pit area was perfect ! Great location very close to the base of Crowfoot Mountain. We could snowmobile right from the cabin ! I will definitely return .

We have rented Air b&b's through Tina and Steve a few times now, and all of our experiences have been great. Nice cabin, and great location.

The cabin was super cute. It was perfect for us and easily accessible to fantastic skiing.

Frances was super nice and helpful and reached out about a week before our trip. She let us know there was construction which might increase the time it takes to drive in which was helpful to know. She responded almost immediately when we had questions. The cabin was chilly on arrival but has two space heaters and a wood fireplace, with wood and fire starting supplies right out front on the front door on the deck. The cabin is only 10 minutes from town with great pubs and little cafes. The only thing I would be mindful of is if you plan to take trips to Banff or Yoho, which we had planned, the trip is much longer (around three hours) when highway 1 is closed. Not sure how long they plan to have construction there. Often times the highway opens up on the weekends though. So just make sure you plan accordingly!

We had a Great weekend in this wonderful place. Weather was cooler than hoped but our stay was very relaxing (even with the trains passing by every so often). Neighbor was very kind and helpful when we needed it. Great to see such a beautiful place. Thank you

I love this area of the world and the cabin. This is my second time here and I will be back. The cabins are well equipped, with great hosts, super clean. The river is a quick walk away, yoho national park is awesome, golden is about 15 minutes and you are half way between two world class ski resorts. A little slice of heaven.

Possibly the most beautiful place we have ever been and stayed. Mists rising from the mountains and rainbows every morning in the golden light. Hiking trails right out of the cabin door to mountain springs and pools. We would live in this area!

This place is such a beautiful, warm and cozy gem in a perfect location! 😍 Absolutely loved it here! Just a short drive to Golden (you can even take a cab if you wanted to!) and amenities. What a perfect getaway spot to relax, enjoy the mountains and breathe all the fresh air in! It had everything we needed inside with a ton of space to hang up snow gear near the front door. The beautiful ceilings and windows were cathedral high which made it feel soo spacious, yet super toasty the whole time w/ gorgeous views. Absolutely loved the couch for lazing on with my coffee / book or logging into my streaming accounts straight onto the projector (you can screencast from your phone too!) There were even treats for when we arrived and thoughtful things like makeup remover wipes, delicious tea and coffee. Loved that there was both a coffee pot and french press. Honestly can't say enough good things about this amazing spot and hosts! Can't wait to be back!! Thank you so very much for having us!

We had a great stay at Mercy's cabin. We came for the weekend to visit family with our 2 children. They were kind to install a baby gate at the top of the stairs for us, as our two year old can be a little wild 🙃. Tons of extra blankets in the cabin. We couldn't find extra pillows, but we took them from the bunk house which we did not utilize. You will have everything you need here and feel right at home! The hot tub was also fantastic and relaxing! Thanks for a great stay, I am sure we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at the The Golden Basecamp for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. So peaceful and quiet, 10 min drive from downtown Golden. We had one incredible night of watching the Aurora borealis dance above us, and not to mention the countless outdoor activities surrounding the area. Thank you for making it truly special!

This cabin was exactly I needed. I loved how private and secluded it was. I travel quite regularly and I do mostly stays in cabins like Luise's. But Louise's cabin was by far the most cosiest one. I loved that there was a plenty of firewood outside ( I got to practise my choppin skills with an axe) :D And had the possibility to have an outdoor fire under the stars. I did appreciated that there was no wifi or reception, which helped me to disconnect with the outside world and enjoy ME time by the fire and read a book. I hope I stick around as I would love to come back for a longer weekend. Thank you Louise

My brother and I were finishing our BC ski tour of 5 ski resorts and previously we stayed between 2 and 3 nights at each resort location. This beautiful, new, clean, and cozy cabin was our last accommodation and was absolutely the best of all five locations. It is a about 10 minutes from Golden however there is local taxi service available which we found convenient for transportation for dining and entertainment in Golden. We highly recommend this accommodation.
