I stayed at Stephanie’s place primarily as a place to take some space out and to work as I work online. The cottage is ideal for this. Good WiFi, warm and homely and easy to heat in the winter. I enjoyed my time so much that I will be returning early next year for another stint of work and retreat. The house is not only beautiful but Stephanie is also an extremely kind and caring host. Highly recommend for a short break and also longer term stay.

Communication with the host Patrick was really good throughout, very helpful and informative. We didn't get to meet him but his brother Tom was on site. Very welcoming and friendly and showed us around. We had a lovely stay, the house was very clean and beds were super comfy. Lovely views from the windows upstairs. The kids enjoyed the little playroom downstairs. Great location too for getting around and seeing all the local sights. Definitely recommend The Stables, we will definitely book again next time we're in the area.

An absolute dream of a stay! The home was perfectly decorated and clean! Martina brought us a beautiful spread of breakfast in the morning that could not have been better! She was the sweetest and brought us notes of what to do with amazing recommendations and details! I highly recommend staying here!!

Had a lovely stay at Brian’s place. Lots of space for our family of 5. The house is really nicely renovated and full of character. Very cosy too. The fridge was well stocked and we had everything we needed for a great three days.

An absolutely stunning cottage. Just perfect. Warm and cosy. Seamus was very helpful. Was such a pleasure to stay in the cottage and everyone was sad to leave. Lovely gift basket on arrival. Bathrooms spotless. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We had a lovely stay at Tracey’s cottage. Perfect for family of four with dog. Close to the beach, with stunning views and coastal walks. Beach bar restaurant 10 minutes drive, is cosy with good pub grub . Would highly recommend if you like the outdoors. Also, handy shop 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Does take away coffee too. Tracey and her mum were v welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. The weather was quite cold but the home stayed plenty warm. Isabella made us feel right at home. She made sure we had everything we needed, showed us how to use everything in the house and gave us lots of brochures for things to do in the area. It snowed a bit during our stay and she would check on us in the evenings to make sure we made it back to the home safely. It really made us feel cared for. When we left my children were so sad and wanted to stay even longer. I had to promise them we’d come back again in the future.

Booking was a breeze. Contacted the hosts beforehand and they were extremely helpful in narrowing down a date and a check-in time. When we arrived, Dermot was there to greet us and showed us to our place of stay. He made sure that we felt welcomed and if we needed anything at all, not to be afraid to give him a shout. Dermot helped us with organising a take-away and also with setting up the fire and heater. Area was beautiful and peaceful with stunning views of the Ox Mountains range. The barn was far bigger than I expected, with lots of room and everything you could need. Overall, was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it.

We had such an amazing stay! The location is absolutely stunning, beautiful lake. The house is immaculate and very homely with everything that we needed throughout our stay! We had paid for use of the boat too so many early mornings out rowing and fishing!! So nice to be able to have this option. Very peaceful. Hosts were so responsive and helpful. Very quick reply’s from them on this app. Also they bought us some croissants for our first morning in the house - Such a lovely touch and very kind!! Really lovely people!!! 100% recommend- we will be visiting again!!! Thank you both!!

This was a phenomenal place for myself and 2 young adult. So centrally located for several short drives. Super convenient to get to the Marghera beach caves, the Kilcooney Dolmen, Assaranca Waterfall and the Ardara Distillery is a must and only 8 minutes by foot. At night it’s super close to fantastic and warm pubs. Nancy’s is a must and it’s literally in the backyard. As close as all the pubs are it’s comfortably silent in the “Barn”. The nostalgia of being in a refurbished barn isn’t lost even with the beautiful renovation. It was overly spacious for the 3 of us but that isn’t a complaint at all. My kids enjoyed being on a separate floor from me when they grew tired of my adult annoyance. I absolutely loved “The Barn” and I will definitely be back. As a photographer it was an absolute dream space and location. I’ve referred several friends already and I’m hoping they invite me!

We spent a great week as a family of five at The Barn. The space is comfortable, warm and clean, and the setting is lovely. It’s a great place to explore Clare, Limerick, Lough Derg and Galway, and beyond, with plenty of day trips within driving distance. The renovation of the barn as a holiday home is really well executed and you get a real sense of the project, with photographs etc detailing its progress. Zita was an attentive and communicative host.

We had such a lovely weekend in the Old Head cottage. Paul could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived to when we left, including allowing us a late check out which was brilliant on such a short weekend. It’s always lovely to meet locals and we had lovely chats with Paul about the area. The cottage is very special - lovingly restored, keeping the character of the old cottage while offering so much comfort with every modern convenience. It’s spotlessly clean and so cosy and welcoming. It’s on a lovely quiet road while being literally a few minutes walk to Old Head beach. The sauna on the pier is an amazing facility open at weekends all year round, and was the icing on the cake after lovely refreshing February swims! We are very familiar with the area and keep coming back, and would love to stay in Paul’s cottage again - it’s really beautiful and welcoming and we felt really at home. Thanks Paul for your friendliness and for being such a great host :-)

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in dieser perfekt ausgestatteten und makellos sauberen Unterkunft. Das Cottage war gemütlich und modern – es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der kleine Kaminofen sorgte für eine wunderbare, entspannte Atmosphäre. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die liebevolle Art von Sadie: Selbst gebackenes Brot und hausgemachte Marmelade – der perfekte Start in den Tag! Außerdem war sie jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns immer sofort weiterhelfen können (Zum Beispiel beim anzünden des Ofens). Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen und werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch definitiv wieder hier übernachten. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Erfahrung!

We stayed in Moig Lodge for my partners 30th birthday and it was nothing short of wonderful! Maretta and her family were amazingly kind, we walked in to a fresh apple tart baked in the kitchen and that kick started a beautiful stay for us. The facilities are exactly as described, if not better and the pints of Guinness in the bar went down especially well. Thanks so much to all at Moig Lodge!

We met Des at the door as we were arriving. He introduced us to his furry companion, Luna. The house was setup for six people but fortunately for us, my daughter, Lea, and I were the only occupants. It was convenient to have the place to ourselves. One of the first things we did was take a walk around the area. It was a beautiful crisp day and felt good to be out and about. Back at the house, we each picked a bedroom and settled in for the evening. We were able to fix meals in the well stocked kitchen and sit at the dining room table to eat. We saw Des twice that I remember while we were there. My daughter talked to him on the phone before we left. He made himself available, which I found comforting. We had a great visit there and I would recommend it as a place to stay.

Stayed with kids for two nights so that we could attend athletics event. Lots of space, great nights sleep before competing, shame we didn’t have time to explore the area. Many thanks.

Absolutely loved it! Pete was so friendly and welcoming, the views were stunning and the nice touches all excellent (soft lights, cosy local made blankets, an art desk, lovely bathroom)

Irene has so kind to leave pastries, juice and milk for our coffee. The place is very comfortable, spacious bedrooms and super clean bathrooms. When I return to Ireland one day, I would love to stay here again. The area has super cute towns to visit. Unfortunately we didn't have any more time to discover more amazing places.

We had a wonderful stay at Danny’s place! The space was cosy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the beautiful walks nearby. The location couldn’t have been better for enjoying the surrounding nature. Danny was an exceptional host—always helpful, responsive, and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you, Danny, for a fantastic experience. My friend and I stayed here only for one night, but o was it fantastic. Phenomenal couches where we sat and read by the fire for hours. Exceptional kitchen and bathroom amenities. Nicki really has thought of everything you could possibly need. We were sad to only stay one night here and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Getting to Shannon airport the next morning from here was very easy and this was a much better option than staying locally near the airport. We would highly recommend staying at Nicki's spot.
