We had an amazing stay - was a perfect midweek peaceful retreat. Heather was a great host, clear and rapid communicator, very easy to work with. The house is exactly as the pictures/description look - candidly we thought maybe even nicer than the pics!! Everyone in the group bookmarked it for future stays - we'll be back!

I came here in the dead of winter for a writer's retreat with a fellow writer- AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN! It was a beautiful and inspiring place to write. Perched on Andover Lake, it was too cold to frolic outside but that was actually liberating. There was a rocking chair-ottoman combo in the master bedroom looking out on the lake and watching it freeze while I worked on some writing was so peaceful and perfect. When I needed to switch it up, there was a writer's desk with the same view and I can not overstate how nice and productive it was to work from it. I am sure in the summer it's a really fun stay (there were kayaks and a dock for swimming) but I actually loved being isolated in such an idyllic place. It's near a few other homes but the road was low traffic enough for a cold weather run around half the lake. Marcie was super helpful with suggestions for places to eat. We didn't actually use the recs - but that only speaks to how nice the house was and how hard it was to leave!

Our stay at The Nest was an absolute dream! Everything about this home is so charming and well thought-out. We wanted for nothing. There were so many loving, artistic touches to the space. The lake view from the living room is beyond peaceful. We loved watching birds come by and spent plenty of time in the hot tub - from sunrise hot tub dips to hot tub soaks under the stars. We very much hope to come back some day.

We loved Nathania's house! The views were beautiful! It was a great house to have local family over for a gathering (which was the purpose of our visit). We had some snow and ice during our stay, but Nathania and her husband were unexpectedly there, and ensured the snow and ice was dealt with the best they could. We definitely hope to rent again!

We had a great stay for a few days. Easy check-in. Neighborhood was quiet with peaceful views of the lake. Excellent location. The beds were very comfortable. We are a family of four and it was nice to have space to spread out when we needed it, downstairs was an added bonus! The kitchen was pretty well stocked, we wish we had a measuring cup when we were making dinner. We loved the hardwood floors and spacious couch. We would definitely return!! Stephanie was a responsive host, thank you!

This was my first time renting an Airbnb and Sarah was extremely patient with me. She answered my questions and texts promptly and was very accommodating. I asked for an early check in and she made it happen. The house was very clean and exactly what I hoped for. I will definitely be renting there again.

Place was beautiful on the lake - it was really snowy and the 5 of us enjoyed the hot tub while it snowed. It was super easy to park and find and get in the house. We easily uber-ed to a winery and dinner. Matthew gave us early check in and late check out given the weather. Super nice and appreciated! We will def be back in Fall.

Several of us just came back from a quick overnight trip to Brookfield, and I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in this area of CT. The bottom floor was recently renovated, so the place is really well laid out with plenty of amenities. There is enough to do on property to keep a group of people entertained for a weekend stay if you plan on sticking around the house. The location is incredible, situated in a little nook right on the water with a ton of privacy and a huge backyard. And definitely reach out to Flory in advance as she plenty of recommendations for things to do and where to eat while you're in town. You will have no regrets if you book this place.

This is the third time we have stayed at one of Andrea’s rentals. She is quick to respond and we have always felt very much at home. Loved this little apartment above the Lace Factory and would love to be here in the summer to hang out on the porch and watch the river go by. Thank you!

Margie’s place is an amazing hidden gem. The inside is very clean and comfortable. The outside is an experience of its own. The lake will drop your blood pressure immediately. Gorgeous surroundings. The dogs are friendly and lovable. We will be back! 👍🏼

We stayed here for 2 nights with our dog so we could attend the UConn WBB final home game at Gampel. It was the perfect location for what we had planned and what we needed for a weekend. Check in was a breeze, the Airbnb was super clean. Communication was great and we would definitely stay here again for future UConn games.

We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the Waterview over Valentine's wknd. Instructions were precise, everything looked like the pics, and even better. Unit was simply but beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Lake Zoar. We had a small issue upon arrival but Kristi was super prompt with a resolve and was kind and professional. A Winter storm was in effect and she was flexible with our arrival time and exit for our safety, which meant alot. We slept like babies to the sounds of owls hoo'ing and icy rain hitting the snow covered lake, which even at night was just stunning. I woke up early to watch the snow and ice melt from the lake...it really was a magical thing to behold. I saw deer tracks and was sorry I missed them. Saw mallards and several GORGEOUS hooded merganser, as well as several different species of birds flying over. If you love nature and gorgeous spaces that feel like home, book the Waterview. We hope to revisit in warmer months. Thank u Kristi

Was the perfect little get away for us. And it was nice to find a place that accommodated the dogs so well. We appreciated being able to get to places easily but at the same time have a peaceful place to return to.

We had a great stay at Robert's cottage. The lake views are beautiful, and the home was quiet, comfortable and private. Just a few minutes drive into Mystic for restaurants and shops. The hot tub was amazing. We felt right at home and can't wait to stay again. Thanks Robert!

The Holly was such a great stay!! I wanted a spot to rest and recharge and this cottage on the lake was the perfect place for me. Jasmine went above and beyond to communicate prior to my arrival and very helpful in providing recommendations for local spots. As I was heading to my final day, Jasmine continued her proactive communication with checkout details and was available for any questions I had. Her home was lovely and super comfy which made me feel right at home. Looking forward to explore more of this area of CT and my return to The Holly. 10/10 recommend!!

Brenda place was beautiful with a beautiful view especially when we work up to some light snow on the lake. The layout of the house was ideal for us with the big open living room and great updated kitchen. So many comfortable beds for us to use. Our favorite places were the sun room and dining rooms looking out at the lake, Brenda was was kind and helpful and adding a Christmas tree for us was a beautiful touch . Highly recommend, one of our best for sure, thank you

Place was very cute. Beds were comfy. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows. Kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed in the winter so didn't take advantage of the yard but would have loved to use the kayaks or hang out by the water in warmer weather. Great little towns and restaurants to visit nearby and a waterfall a few houses down. Really enjoyed our stay.

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in Chester! The place was impeccably clean, and the host was both responsive and polite, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The surrounding area was quiet and beautiful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Chester.
