The Snowdrift Suite is an ideal location for those looking to have easy access to the mountain and be able to access the condo throughout the day. The condo is clean and has a big living space and two well-stocked bathrooms, as well as a kitchen that makes it easy for meals. The walls were a little thin so I would recommend ear plugs for light sleepers. Other than that, we had a great stay!

This was our second time staying at this location, a sign that we have been very satisfied with the experience. The house is beautiful, the views of the lake are spectacular, the house is located well off the road so that we never heard any traffic noise, and it is a short drive into Grand Marais to cafes, stores, and restaurants. We recommend it highly!

Easily one of our favorite stays! Henry was incredibly accommodating and flexible with our last-minute reservation, making the whole process seamless. The cabin was cozy, well-appointed, and the perfect retreat after a long day of snowboarding. The sauna was a fantastic bonus, helping us relax and unwind. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming getaway!

Excellent home in desirable location with a hands on host who was very helpful throughout the stay.

This was the perfect slope side condo for our family of 4 for a long ski weekend. We loved the layout and loft bedroom area which made it feel nice and open. The pullout couch was very comfortable for our teenage boys to sleep on. The board games and jacuzzi tub were nice extras for cold evenings back at condo.

What a beautiful cabin to spend a weekend of snowmobiling. A great place to come home to after a day on the trails. Trails were fairly accessible and space to park was adequate. Would highly recommend

I LOVED my stay at Loon Lake Lodge. Andrea and Derek are super friendly and helpful, and the entire area is so beautiful and quiet. The pizza and ice cream sandwiches are a fun treat. I started every day with about an hour back and forth between the sauna and the lake, both absolutely perfect. There is a pretty good chance I'll be back next September!

Beautiful house and property which was a perfect fit for 7 adults. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Nice dock and fire ring. A great bonus is the canoe and 2 kayaks complete with paddles and life jackets. The host was very helpful and communicative.

Location was perfect in the bay at the end of Loon Lake. Fun to use the dock and canoe and firepit in the evening. Easy to find but helpful if you have a 4x4 truck to get back there and in and out of the driveway. Great hikes close by home. The Border Route Trail is just down the road a quick 5 min walk from the home and a wonderful hiking experience. We had a great Trail experience complete with loons and moose. Perfect for 2-4 people. The host is friendly and accommodating. This was a great spot.

This is one of those places you want everyone to know about and also (selfishly!) to keep secret. We had the best time last weekend. Being able to sauna and jump into a cool crystal clear lake, is a luxury unmatched. Do not hesitate to book. My only regret is not planning to stay longer. The hosts were fantastic and we will definitely plan to be back.

This is a truly magical place. The lake is beautiful and was very peaceful in mid-October when we visited. The quiet was refreshing, and it was so nice to alternate time relaxing by the lakeshore and going inside to the cozy but modern, thoughtfully designed interior. Someone with a artist’s touch definitely made the design choices here. All the instructions were clear and we did not actually need to get in touch with our host. Lovely stay, would love to return.

Fun rustic cabin with amazing north shore woods surrounding, definitely itching to try and go back. The firewood being available made life easy for the stove inside to warm it up on the cool nights, outhouses were nice, trails were peaceful, and allowing our dog to stay made it great for a little family trip!

My son and I have been traveling to the Gunflint Trail for over 25 years to grouse hunt. After a long day in the woods Nicholas’s home offered all the comforts to relax. Everything with the home is well maintained and clean. This is the second year we stayed there and I am sure there will be many more. If you want a northern Minnesota getaway, Nicholas’s home is perfect.
