Jenny and William were absolutely amazing hosts and their home is absolutely gorgeous. Whether you want to go see the town or go for a hike there is plenty to do in a 20 minute radius from their home. And if you didn’t feel like going anywhere this home is the perfect place to stay. Gorgeous view of Lake Superior and the snow covered trees. Will hopefully be planning our next trip back sooner than later!

This was our second time staying at this location, a sign that we have been very satisfied with the experience. The house is beautiful, the views of the lake are spectacular, the house is located well off the road so that we never heard any traffic noise, and it is a short drive into Grand Marais to cafes, stores, and restaurants. We recommend it highly!

Tamarack house is so nice being right on Lake Superior. We love being able to have a fire at night by the lake. Watching the waves on the lake is very enjoyable. The house is a nice size for our group. It is also near many different hiking trails and lakes to fish and not that far from Grand Marais.

We had a lovely Christmas week with family. The home was perfect! Everyone felt at home. Thank you!

This is our 2nd timing staying here and just like last time, we really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for winter activities- close to snowmobiling trails. Great parking for our trailer. We really love that we can bring our dogs as well!

This was, by far, the most amazing Airbnb that we have ever stayed in… And that's saying a lot because we have stayed in many amazing Airbnb's. The home was utterly gorgeous and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The views are breathtaking. Clark was a fantastic host and made us feel like VIPs! By the second day, we were already talking about booking our next stay ❤️.

peaceful and charming place near Lutsen mountain and the shore. Not too far from a Tesla Supercharger which came in handy as well. Everything was accurately described. Would stay again.

David was extremely gracious and responsive! You can't beat the location at Caribou Highlands and the unit is ski-in/ski-out. The space is comfortable and cozy and having a fire was a treat - I was also surprised how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking gear but very little in the way of basic spices, olive oil, etc so plan to bring all your own groceries if you will be cooking.

Fun rustic cabin with amazing north shore woods surrounding, definitely itching to try and go back. The firewood being available made life easy for the stove inside to warm it up on the cool nights, outhouses were nice, trails were peaceful, and allowing our dog to stay made it great for a little family trip!

I had a fantastic experience at this Airbnb! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and thoughtful, making sure everything was perfect for my stay. The location was great—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing.

Would definitely stay here again- lovely place, perfect size for a couple. Enjoyed the rooftop deck and hot tub.

From start to finish, our stay at Lutsen ski in/ski out condo at Caribou Highlands was comfortable and convenient, with ready access to the slopes. Shayla was always responsive when we had questions and we learned from locals that she is very highly regarded - this was no surprise to us. I would most certainly return.

Perfect location if you want to be walkable to town. My sister and I stayed with 3 medium sized dogs & it was a perfect size! And stayed warm in the -24 degree weather we had while we stayed! Little kitchen and fridge worked perfectly! Thank you again!

We had the BEST stay - hosts were very responsive (I reached out twice with a question and was promptly answered!) The cabin has the perfect blend of rustic grounds and exterior paired with modern, comfortable interior. There were lots of individual beds - no one had to share, and when the doors are closed, each room is quiet and peaceful. We also liked that there is zone-controlled heating. That was super nice for guests who have different ranges of temperature comfortability. We LOVED the location on the lake, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I would 10/10 stay here again, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway.

My partner & I are up north multiple times each year, and stay at different places -and this cabin was by far one of the best! We were not left for wanting a single thing, except maybe to spot a Fox! The cabin was immaculate, cozy, beautiful, and presents even better than it reads. 12/10 and we will definitely be booking a repeat stay. Owners are kind, helpful, and responsive. If you haven’t yet stayed here, you must.

Amazing construction- so cool to experience a timber frame cabin up close and personal, an inspiring stay that will bring us back to the North Shore! Just off 61 Mokki was easy to find, close to great hiking trails, and just a short drive from fun restaurants and bars in Grand Marais. The sauna was easy to use and offered a warm welcome after a day of skiing the Norpine trails. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook a feast with fresh produce from the local Co-op. The boardwalk around the cabin made it easy to get in and out without tracking snow in, and the outdoor space was beautiful and cozy. We even saw Northern Lights from the dark sky in the backyard!

Really loved staying here! It was very clean when we arrived and the small space had everything we needed for our stay. We took a course at the North House folk school while staying here and it was super convenient — an under ten minute walk to our class everyday. Plus it was close to many restaurants and the grocery stores in town.

Great private cabin near Lake Superior! Cozy and quiet and very well taken care of. Nice to have a less busy gravel road right off the property to walk the dog. Quick trips to Lutsen, Tofte, Grand Marais, and lots of cross country skiing spots. Plenty of firewood available to keep the cabin warm and cozy. The only small thing we ran into was the fridge in the cabin is much smaller than the fridge in the photos, which normally would not matter at all, however unfortunately we brought food to make most of our meals to avoid eating out, which was a tight fit! Would love to stay again.
