Pelican's Retreat was a delightful stay with family and friends. The place was special and true to it's name, with Pelican's frequently resting on the private jetty. The accommodation had plenty of everything, peaceful location, kayaks, games, indoor and outdoor spaces, provisions if one needed and even candles! Thank you Sam and Trent.

This property is picturesque. You will find yourself lost overlooking the river both morning and night. Don’t bother catching any fish, we’ve already caught them all 😉. We are coming back!

perfect for our travelling family to stay for an event we had close by. the house was clean and suited our needs. The jetty made it easy to have a great swim in the river. The kayaks and paddle boards were great for the kids. communication was great, and always responded. we would 100% recommend and we would stay in the future

My friends and I loved our time here, couldn't have asked for a better spot on the river, this place had everything we needed and is awesome for a group. Gay was amazing to deal with as well, really friendly and responsive, the whole process was seamless.

Amazing Stay for Friends & Family! We had a wonderful time staying at this Airbnb! The place was perfect for our group of friends and family—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The living areas were cozy and great for bonding, and the kitchen had all the essentials for home-cooked meals. Overall, we highly recommend this place for anyone traveling with loved ones. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at this off-grid Airbnb was truly unforgettable! The property is beautifully designed, clean, and offers a perfect balance of comfort and sustainability. During our stay, without much thought, we used oven to cook dinner, not realizing how much power it would consume. By morning, the electricity had run out! Thankfully, the sun came out and started recharging the system, and everything was back to normal in no time. Throughout the whole event, the host was incredibly responsive, guiding us through the situation and ensuring we were comfortable. This stay was a wonderful lesson in off-grid living, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful setup. If you’re looking for a unique, eco-friendly retreat with an amazing host, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Lovely house. Worked well with two families. It was lovely having a drink on the elevated deck at the end of a ski day, perfect back drop. Easy walk to the Wellington pub. Thanks :)
