I can’t say enough about the responsiveness from Paige. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Everything was pristine and just steps away from the water! Relax on the most comfortable front porch, overlooking the lake and have a glass of wine as you watch the sunset or sip your coffee and watch the sunrise! It’s just a great place to kick back and relax. (There’s also plenty of parking!)

I’ve never stayed in a place that was as peaceful as the lake house. The location is beautiful and there is absolutely no road noise! It was very relaxing sitting both on the dock and in the house looking out at the lake. It was easy to get to restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is very walkable if you want to get in a little exercise. I really enjoyed my stay and plan on coming back again when the weather is warmer.

We stayed at Swan Lake for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and scenic view of the lake. The beds were incredibly cozy, making for a restful and comfortable stay. While we didn’t have time to fish, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch, taking in the sights of the donkeys, goats, and an abundance of birds. Our trip was to visit our daughter for her white coat ceremony, and the cabin’s well-equipped kitchen and spacious layout made it the perfect place to host a home-cooked meal for our family and a couple of friends. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would love to return!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful week both outdoors and indoors. The lake house was everything the photos showed and more! Our host, Karla was amazing anytime we needed anything. Including the night of our arrival, we had a long drive and arrived late at night and got turned around in the dark. Karla stayed in touch with us the entire time until we made it safely to the lake house! Could not ask for more in a host or airbnb!

The Perch was a wonderful weekend getaway! Our host was extremely helpful and kind, Miss Lisa was quick to repair the broken pipes when we arrived. Which set up for a beautiful weekend in the peaceful hills of Alabama 😊

The house was charming/cottage vibes. We felt comfortable and relaxed. We were able to fish but didn’t catch anything but it was great being able to step out of the back door to the lake. We enjoyed the view and everyone enjoyed their stay even Baby JJ. I forgot to mention that we barbecued as well. It was fun, food and family! Will be looking her up again when we return-no more hotels for us!

Sehr tolle und ruhige Lage. Summer hat immer gleich geantwortet. Ich kann diese Unterkunft auf jeden fall weiter empfehlen, morgens wenn die Sonne aufgeht ist es dort am Schönsten.

To date, Sweet Home Oakachoy is our favorite vacation home at Lake Martin! From start to finish, John & Sara were amazing to communicate with. It’s very obvious how much love they put into this home, as well as how considerate they are of their renters. The house is stocked with extra bath & beach towels, condiments, spices-supplies for pretty much anything you need or may have forgotten at home. There were only the four of us, but I can see this being a great place for a relaxing girls trip, or a big family reunion. I have a teenager, so the downstairs was all his. My daughter loved having a king bedroom to herself. I like that the bedrooms aren’t on top of each other. In between swimming/water sports, all had plenty of privacy/space to ourselves for napping or watching what we wanted on tv. One of the best parts of the rental is the Fish Shack-so cool! Although we didn’t get an opportunity to utilize it, plan to in the future-maybe for a long wknd during college football.
