Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

This is their home and it was lovely and cosy, full of everything we needed to entertain our close family over the weekend. Gorgeous gardens and a bountiful cherry plum tree - great for crumbles and with yoghurt! The instructions were clear verbally and in person, and later in WA messages so we navigated around things easily. Blissful week. Even the Moto GP didn't spoil things - we foolishly hadn't realised it was on during that weekend.

Great stay at Stretton Lakes. The other cabins seemed to be utilised by people making use of the fishing lake, but our children loved the hot tub, tennis courts and the odd game of football on the grass. Stretton Lakes was a great base for the area - the local (gastro) pub, kayaking on Rutland Water, villages/ towns like Stamford and even a theme park for the kids.

This was the perfect place for a chill weekend with friends to celebrate my birthday. It was a good balance of social and private spaces!

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

We had a brilliant stay at the Alice Lodge. The lodge was beautifully kept and had everything we wanted for a couple of nights stay. Our family loved the hot tub and it was straight forward to run and keep warm over the couple of days we were there. The location was lovely and private. We would love to stay again! It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a lovely stay at Elizabeth's place. It was nice, warm and inviting on arrival. We liked the sofas with reclining backs. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a good size with a dining table too. We used both bedrooms and the beds were wonderfully comfortable and the rooms had enough places for all the items you typically take with you! Clean and bright, spacious bathroom too. Would definitely stay again, in fact we are looking to see if its free next week whilst working in the area again.

I stayed at The Hayloft whilst looking for a place to rent of my own, the house became like my home and I truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the countryside and how private it felt. The house was pristine and they had a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen, it was amazing to get a chance to use their place as a stepping stone. I would’ve loved to have stayed on. The hosts were extremely nice and responded to all my queries, I’ll definitely be back and would recommend them to everyone I know and don’t know!

We loved our stay at Caroline and Roger's- situated in beautiful, peaceful grounds with amazing views of the surrounding countryside, and the property was very clean, cosy, spacious and well-equipped. We felt very welcome, they are really friendly hosts. A great base for walking, as well as the Foxton Locks and Naseby Civil War battlefield and memorials. Market Harborough is a lovely town and not far by car, as are other historic houses and gardens, but unfortunately at this time of year they were all closed. We would happily go back and stay at the property again in the Spring/Summer to explore. Highly recommend!

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

A lovely, cosy cottage that was perfect for our stay. A great secure garden for the dogs and a shop 2 mins walk from the front door. Paul was a great host and provided clear directions and instructions for the property.

We stayed here for just one night for my partners birthday and took our two dogs and had the best time! The photos do not do the place justice, everything is hand crafted and there was everything you could need. There is a kitchen with loads of bits and bobs available to use and a river that you can actually go for a dip in. The bed was super warm and cosy even for a cold February evening. We loved sitting by the fireplace and the dogs loved roaming around the grounds. Could not recommend this place enough and we really hope to return with more of our family in the future. Our first stay at this property and it was everything we hoped it would be! A cosy, homely flat, with all amenities needed for a few nights away. Communication with Aisling, the host, was great! She responded quickly, was really helpful and totally flexible on our check-in & check out times. The location was perfect for us - only 10 minutes from my family, where we were spending Christmas 🎄 Highly recommend and will definitely book again in the future 😀

My boys and I had a wonderful stay at Barley Cottage. Stephen and Philip are amazing hosts, super friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and great conversation. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and the shower was great. Water Newton is an idyllic little village just a stones throw from Peterborough, but a world away! We loved every minute of our time there.

Patricia's home is lovely, warm and cozy. We booked at the last minute so that our family could spend Christmas together. We appreciated the lovely welcome and provision of staples like milk, butter, tea, coffee, juice and also crusty bread. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with ease. Patricia had even gone to the trouble to decorate her home for Christmas for us, which was very special. We all enjoyed our time together there. It is a bonus to have a full bathroom and an extra toilet for a family, too. The setting in the park is peaceful and welcoming and there are nice walks around the woods and lakes; our dog loved it, too. This is a wonderful place to stay in every way and Patricia is a very thoughtful and accommodating host. Thank you!

Fantastic week at Belton Woods Lodge. David was a great host with clear communication and information received prior to stay. Hope to book again!

We were greeted well upon arrival. They showed and explained everything. We were also lucky to see beautiful peacocks on the territory. The house corresponds to the description and photos. There is a good sauna, a large pool and there is a passage from a small goubina to a large one. The jacuzzi is also large. Everything is clean and neat, we liked it, the child is delighted, we will definitely come again.🙃

Stephen is amazing, personable, responsive, ready with helpful actionable suggestions if you need them . The place itself is on a beautiful , riverside property, with beautifully maintained garden, swimming pool. It is 10 minutes drive from Peterborough and 25 minutes form Stomford, and has many trails and walks around that you can explore.

wow .... what a stunning place . pool is nice little chilly but ones you are in and swimming it was fine. amazing comfortable beds fully stocked kitchen and games room was just what we needed. thank you and we will be booking up again soon

We stayed for a couple of nights close to Christmas, wonderful stay in this beautiful period home, with the village looking very pretty and festive. Having use of a sauna and pool, while it was frosty outside; made our stay particularly enjoyable!

This place is perfect for a quiet getaway. The hosts are fantastic and the lovely warm pool is great to play in with the kids. You can even go fishing at the end of their garden ( which I took full advantage of!!) or just relax with a glass of wine and sit looking over the river. We look forward to returning next year.
