The place was very well-maintained and in such a peaceful, gorgeous area. The house's amenities were all as described. Our party enjoyed the gas fireplace and the fully stocked kitchen in particular. It was tastefully decorated and perfectly clean. Gary and Kathleen were responsive and friendly, but still left us space to enjoy ourselves. I would certainly recommend this AirBNB to anyone looking for a refuge to return to during their explorations of the Cowichan Valley!

I've hardly ever written a review for a rental, but I'm writing one for this house because it was really wonderful. We received nice, clear instructions on how to find the house plenty ahead of time. The house was perfectly clean, and all the furniture and kitchen items were in very good condition. The porch is very large and has a wonderful view, and one is right on the water on a perfect little pebble beach. We also liked the more general location very much; in particular the house is about 1.5 miles from the English Camp Park, which was very nice for a run.

We truly loved our stay at Andrea's place, The Sassy Sitka. It's a beautiful, understated and alive little place that's very comfortable (great beds, very clean, great kitchen, spa bathroom) with a simple yet tasteful aesthetic and 180 degree views. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed it more and more every day we were there. We saw a seal, a swan, bald eagles, varieties of ducks and shorebirds, seagulls, and more. I treasured being able to wake up in the morning and sit and watch the activity on the water while having my cup of tea. The yard is lovely and we loved sitting having a fire outside in the firepit overlooking the ocean cosied up on the outdoor blankets. Andrea was responsive when we had questions and also gave us space. We used the Sassy Sitka as a jumping off point for trips out to the beaches towards Port Renfrew as well as our trips into Victoria. It was amazing to come back to the beauty and quiet at the end of the day. Thanks so much Andrea!

Ashley and Julia were amazing hosts. Catered to an early check in time for my group as we took an early ferry and arrived earlier than check in time. The dock is amazing for crabbing as well!

Liza made us feel welcome and cared about. The setting was beautiful, close to beach/lagoon while being mins from all amenities. Awesome bakery near by. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.?

Gorgeous spot and amazing view. Very isolated so if you are after quiet and tranquil beauty, this is the place for you. The bathroom was huge and the bed was super soft.

Our stay at the Oceanfront was lovely. We spent most of our time enjoying the wonderful view of the water. We saw hawks, eagles, seals and otters. As in previous reviews the house has anything you need for your stay. We had Christmas dinner and had everything we needed. There were 8 of us and the home accommodated all of us comfortably. Derek was a great co-host responding to all of my questions and providing detailed instructions for check-in, security, etc. I would highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone staying in the Sooke area.

WOW - we had the best time, largely due to Kelly and Rory's welcoming hospitality. They gave us lots of information and ideas. They were both kind and helpful, generous and fun. We loved the dogs too. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet, the ensuite spotless. The views were amazing. The location allowed us to walk to the ferry terminal, the bus stop for trips into Sidney and downtown Victoria, and to a nearby pub/restaurant and bakery/coffee shop. This was a lovely experience. WE WILL BE BACK!

We had a great stay at Kelly’s. The place has lots of privacy. Kelly made us feel extremely welcome. Kelly’s positive and enthusiastic energy makes her such an unforgettable person. She went extra mile to be sure we had everything we needed. We were able to be in and out without feeling disturbing Kelly and Rory. The bed is one of the most comfortable ones we had ever experienced out of all our Airbnb experience. One would get a good night rest. We had meant to asked Kelly where she got the bed. 😊 For anyone who does not want to take a vehicle with them to Victoria. This is also an ideal place to be close to the ferry terminal, which you bus yourself downtown Victoria quite easily. Thank you for everything, Kelly. You are such an amazing human being and a host.

Gramma Rikki has a beautiful home nestled privately in the trees. She has simply thought of everything to make the house accommodating from providing games to having the kitchen stocked with spices and other cooking amenities. The home was even more vast in person than in photos and was cozy and inviting. We hope to come back again when the weather is warmer to enjoy all the property has to offer. Perfect vacation home for bigger families!

Budd's place was even better than I expected and I can't wait to return. My friends were also blown away by how stunning it was. It had everything you could possibly need and was such a great escape from the city. Highly recommend!

Yue's suite is absolutely fabulous, clean, organised, specious, beautiful and had everything we needed. Yue is very helpful and responsive and we would definitely come again! loved it!

My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer! We had a great time and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Highly recommend Sophie’s place to any RRU students as the campus is right nearby, or to anyone else looking for a peaceful and cozy getaway close to everything you need.

We were a group of 11 older ladies from all over the island that meet once a year to go hiking together. Kurt’s house fit the bill for us, it was clean and very comfortable. Kurt was on site and helped us with our needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his house to any large group.

Zoe was very prompt and responsive in her response. The house was very nice and exactly as described in the photos. I was also very pleased with the cleanliness, the kitchen had plenty of utensils, the bathroom was very clean and had enough supplies. There was plenty space to relax and rest with a view. which we all enjoyed very much.
