From start to finish we loved this place, it was everything and more. The house was spotless and had a vast array of appliances and space. We loved the peaceful nature around it and the view! As it was our first time in Castletownbere we appreciated all the local recommendations and every single person we met was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and thank you to John for sharing this gem with us.

The apartment has everything you need for a short stay in a remote peaceful setting. Communication re. check in was great. There is a lockbox for self check in however Nina met us on arrival and showed us around. The apartment was clean, warm and well stocked. There is not much room for luggage so pack light as the space is small. We chose this mainly for the sauna and plunge pool and they did not disappoint. Noel has done a wonderful job on the wood burning sauna and the natural plunge pool is what you would dream of having in your garden, it really was magical. We did not manage to use the fire pit as the weather was wet and windy but it looked lovely. We drove the Beara Way one of the days and was easily done from this location. The drive from Bantry and the nearest pub/restaurant is about 15 minutes on a narrow country road that I would not recommend doing in the dark so if you want peace and quiet and are happy to be secluded in the evenings this is the place for you.

Started in Peter's house for one night a couple weekends ago. It was a great place to find, house was spotless and Peter was an excellent host to deal with.

Grande maison avec de grandes chambres et chacune une salle de bain. Literie excellente et tout ce qu il faut pour faire la cuisine. Maison très calme dans un joli quartier. Tout peut se faire à pied. Très bon camp de base pour découvrir une très belle région et faire de splendides randonnées.

This is my second time staying at Birgit’s Airbnb. I wondered how the magic of the first stay could ever be replicated, but it was! The views were still extraordinary and birgit was still so helpful and communicative (and so nice even when I locked myself out at 10 pm!). I’ll be back!

Lovely home in a great location. Walkable to the town via a path right next to the house. Well equipped with all necessary utilities. Very responsive host with easy instructions for accessing the property. Would highly recommend a stay in John’s home in the lovely town of Kenmare.

I would give 11 out of 10 if I could. The home is so stylish and comfortably furnished, and feels very luxurious. Whatever the weather here, the views across the bay were always fabulous and ever changing. I had arrived with high expectations which it totally met and indeed surpassed. Painful to have to leave. The only consolation was to promise ourselves that we would come back again soon.

We had an amazing stay in Forester's House in Inish Beg Estate.The check in was very easy and the house was very spacious and clean with gorgeous views and surroundings. The use of the pool was brilliant bonus!

We had a fantastic few days in Pat’s house. Gorgeous house. Stunning location. Superb host. I can’t wait to return.

Had a great stay here as a group and the house was exceptional, suited everyone’s needs and was very clean and tidy, it was very private and the host was great with communication and check in. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay in Roscarbery , although I didn’t meet our hosts they were in contact and answered any questions we had quickly. Very cosy house especially with the open fire . Very enjoyable short break.

Had a fantastic stay with a group of friends over the weekend! Views out of this world. So calm, peaceful and relaxing! Incredible for stargazing at night, beautiful view of the Skelligs and Derrynane Bay. Great walks and scenery and friendly locals. Brilliant kayaking experience facilitated by neighbour Noel. We enjoyed our stay at Kathy's as a family of 6. It was a fab location 8 minute drive outside the town. We used a taxi once and it was €14, taxis were always available on the street and by using the freenow app. Kathys accommodation was spotlessly clean, great wifi, easy check in. Everything was amazing and the house is huge. Thanks for a great stay Kathy. We will definitely be back.

Sheila's Cottage is really a gem - tucked away from the main touristic routes it's the old farm house on her property renovated and cozy. We felt very welcome and love our time there! We booked very last minute on the same day - there simply was no time to clean the floors. But everything else, kitchen, bathroom and beds were very clean and comfortable! I absolutely recommend Sheila's cottage if you're looking for some peace and quiet for a family and for a more than fair price.

Fantastic location and very private. Lovely hosts, who were friendly and communicative, we really appreciated the few bits left too, it was a lovely touch. 5 stars

I don't think I've ever stayed in an airbnb with a host as considerate, accommodating, and fashionable (both in personal and interior decorating style). The space was designed with livability and beauty in mind, and it shows. My family and I settled in instantly, as the space oozes comfort, from the wood burning stove to the well-stocked and compact kitchen. And if that wasn't enough, as it was Christmas, she brought me and my family plates from her meticulously cooked family dinner. If we're ever in Cork again, we will surely rent with her, and maybe even take her out for a cocktail. Thanks, Maureen!

David was a phenomenal host. Super communicative, incredibly friendly, and very flexible. We had uncertain arrival times and he was more than happy to be updated as we went - he even started the heat before we arrived for us. Great neighbourhood with lots of families. Even as a group of young adults, this was a wonderful space to be. He left very in-depth details with instructions for everything and recommendations for grocery stores and restaurants of all kinds - all the info you could need. The place was wonderful and really felt like a family home. Overall, this has been my favourite place I've stayed so far and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Tralee.

Beautiful part of the world, great view. Sheep and wild deer in the fields surrounding the house. The house was very clean, spacious and quickly warm. The host made us feel at home. Thanks

Brilliant property, great location, fab views, well equipped and cosy. We had a great long weekend with my parents in law, was very accessible for my disabled mum in law as there was a fabulous downstairs en-suite bedroom . Anne Marie was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

This house was perfect for our needs. As a large group of adults, the number of en-suite rooms was great. The house had a wonderful large kitchen/living space, perfect for gatherings. The house was warm and beds were comfortable. Barbara was quick to respond and very helpful with our check-in and check-out arrangements. There was plenty of equipment and a well stocked cupboard of herbs and spices and odd bits that you need but don’t want to buy just for a few days. The location was perfect - 10 min walk to the centre of Bantry and the views are amazing from the house (despite the rain). We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Ros’s house in Kenmare. Lovely warm comfortable family space, with welcoming treats of home made bread and cakes on arrival and a kitchen filled with all utensils and essentials to be able to enjoy a relaxed stay without running to the shop. We didn’t get great weather so we were grateful for the fire and tv and comfortable couches for reading and card games. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay! The home is very clean and in a safe and quiet neighborhood walkable distance to downtown Killarney. We were quite comfortable and would stay again!

René & Emilie were the perfect hosts.Even though they live close to the accommodation they were non intrusive.We loved our accommodation, and would highly recommend it for your next break.
