Vladimirs Unterkunft liegt herrlich ruhig am Ortsrand und ist umgeben von wunderschöner Natur. Zu Fuß zum tollen Strand sind es keine 10 Minuten. Unser Zimmer war sehr einfach, aber makellos, hatte 2 bequeme Betten und Kissen und auch einen Kühlschrank. Vladimir und seine Frau sind die besten Gastgeber überhaupt: Super nett und freundlich und voller Ideen, was man in der Nähe unternehmen kann. Im Preis ist ein leckeres Frühstück inbegriffen, und als wir Abends noch großen Hunger hatten, die Sodas und Restaurants aber schon geschlossen waren, hat uns Vladimir mit einer leckeren Schüssel Obst versorgt. Wer keinen Wert auf unnötigen Luxus legt, und es einfach, ordentlich und vor allem authentisch und herzlich mag, ist hier allerbestens aufgehoben.

This hotel is tucked up in the mountains with a beautiful pool, great restaurant and safe location. The room was huge with all the amenities and a super comfortable bed.

We had so much fun staying on the farm! It was beautiful with all the paths and plants throughout the property. We really enjoyed the included cocoa farm tour and the food was delicious. So many great amenities and easy access to Rio Celeste for our hike. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend and we will be staying again someday.

The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

Abie’s place was just as described in a beautiful and serene location! The beds were comfortable and the patio was so peaceful to hang out at. The hotel staff was amazing and so attentive to our family! They were extremely hospitable! The amenities offered were great!

El Manglar is the perfect and best place to stay in Playa Grande. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the location is ideal, and the price is affordable. I love that this is a place owned and run by Ticos. It’s nice to stay at the beach in Costa Rica where the guests aren’t just tourists, but also nacionales. Gracias por todo!

Love everything about this place! Diego checked us in and he was amazing. Gave us a map and highlighted (literally with a highlighter) lots to do in the area - plenty of recommendations! We only stayed for 1 nights, but could easily stay for 2-3 nights! Great spot

Really lovely place to stay, super friendly, caring hosts and Yudith makes delicious wholesome homemade food. I was feeling unwell whilst I was staying here and Yudith went above and beyond to make me feel cared for and looked after, even making fresh herbal teas for me from the garden to being to my room. I would definitely come back, it's very reasonably priced and high quality accommodation. Highly recommend!

Had an awesome stay at property! Phil and the property manager were great hosts—super helpful, friendly, and quick to respond to anything we needed. The check-in process was super smooth with clear instructions, which made everything easy from the start. The location is perfect—close to everything in Jaco, location is very safe and building is gated. Security officer know you by face so easy to go in and out. Balcony view is hands down the best in Jaco. Waking up to that every morning was unreal. The place was really clean, very organized, luxurious decoration all over, technology friendly with Netflix, YouTube and IPTV set up on TV. Place had all the little extras that make a stay comfortable, plenty of towels, snacks and drinks available in the room, and just an overall welcoming vibe. You can tell they put thought into the details. Definitely recommend staying here, and I’d come back in a heartbeat. Thanks again, Phil!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was a unique place with extremely beautiful views of the mountains. Just be mindful that it is true to “glamping” meaning you will feel a lot of wind at night, which depending on your sleeping patterns can be challenging. Also, the place is a little off the beaten path, but we loved our time and would recommend.

We stayed at Toto’s rooms for a week, this is considered a ‘long stay’ but I would highly recommend as we had such a wonderful time. From start to finish the hosts, Melissa and Silvia were so attentive. They basically asked what we wanted to do in La Fortuna and organised all our tours and transport. In my opinion they got the most savvy prices and best quality tour guides. I never once felt like a was being coached about with lots of other tourists. The place was clean and compact, even on the days it poured with rain, the views from the balcony were iconic and the wildlife unforgettable. No question was too much for the hosts and whatever time of day, they always had a speedy reply. The place was also pretty bug/mosquito free which was a pleasant surprise! Top tip, bring a microwave container if you’re eating in and mirror when bathroom is in use or steamy! However, thats all! As the room, hosts and town were amazing. We also saw the resident Sloth nearby, keep your eye out! 🦥

This house is completely unique and indescribable. It is in the most beautiful natural/manicured yard with sloths, howler monkeys, agoutis, birds, geckos, and lizards right outside the windows. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, clean, and so completely crazy. The layout is totally random, but somehow it all just works. The one drawback is that the obvious kid’s bedroom is way far away from the upstairs rooms, and my kids (9 and 11) were fine, but younger kids might be scared down there by themselves. A great beach was an easy walk down the main road, and town was nearby. I highly recommend this house!

Really enjoyed my stay in this peaceful haven. The natural pool is stunning, the lagoon and all the ducks too. A hummingbird visited me daily on the balcony and the toucans and other birds were always close by. The bed and sheets were so so comfortable. The room airy and light. The kitchen very well equipped and a great spot to sit in and stare out across the land. The land is beautiful with many fruit trees and flowers brightening the paths. The host was very supportive and responsive and made this a really easy stay. The farm is gated so it feels very private and safe for a solo traveller. Waterfall’s nearby to explore and of course, the jungle energy is flowing always. Thanks for the perfect stay.

We stayed at Kevin’s place for one night and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The view is amazing and the amenities are too! If you can spend two nights minimum I would highly recommend. There’s an amazing grill you can use and the sound system is also amazing.
