The photos don't do this unique, comfortable, serene, special place justice! Any time of year this would be the best stay, and it's equipped with everything you would need and more (linens, blankets, pillows, firewood, dishware, cooking equipment, indoor and outdoor seating, etc.). The hosts were communicative and thorough and nothing was an issue or surprise. And the beds were the most comfy! The only consideration is how many people you have and how particular you are about sleeping arrangements, as three beds + sofa sleeper are all in one lofted/communal space (different floors), with one bedroom fully separate in the basement. Not an issue for 4 single adults.

Our family had a mini getaway and it was the perfect spot! The sauna and hot tub were incredible! The kids LOVED the theater room. Such a great place for families. Thank you for being a great host!

Sunset Cottage is the perfect weekend getaway place! We loved the West facing lake view for the amazing sunset each night, time in the hot tub each morning/evening, and enjoying the cozy cottage vibes. The town of Amery is great too, lots of restaurants, shops, and trails. Marjorie was also super helpful for everything we needed. We can’t wait to be back.

I stayed at the Kestrel cabin with my 2 boys and their father, the space was quite cozy for the 4 of us, but we didnt feel too crammed. Everything was very clean and felt updated - the cabin was a bit tricky to find but Leisa answered my call quickly and gave clear directions how to find. The lake is right by the cabin and was so beautiful when the sun was out! We could hear lots of birds, some traffic sounds as well but it wasnt bothersome. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Can’t recommend this cabin highly enough. The location is totally calm, quiet, and peaceful while being only five minutes away from great shopping and the interstate highway. The cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous, well-appointed, and in great shape — even better than the photos. And our hosts were very friendly and welcoming — very responsive to our questions and even left a loaf of homemade banana bread on the kitchen counter for us when we arrived. Our family had a wonderful time and will be back!

It was a quiet and quick getaway for my friend and I along with our dog. The owner was responsive to all our needs. My only complaint would be spiders or flies, but it’s part of being out with nature (and i am terrified of spiders).

We had a great week! The main level was listed as "shared," but no one else was ever there when we were. There were 2 wonderful patios, 1 right off the master bedroom. It was less then a block to Bald Eagle Lake with a small beach. Beds were very comfortable. We would love to come back!

I was looking for a peaceful weekend to relax in nature and this place delivered. Very clean, comfy bed, great spot for walking, great bonfire pit with beautiful stargazing. I only smelled gas when I first came in the door at the bottom of the stairs; upstairs there was no smell and plenty of candles around if your nose is sensitive. I will definitely be back!

AMAZING cabin. We had a family get away for a couple nights and didn’t want to leave! Great running trails, fishing, comfortable and beautiful home. The fall colors were breathtaking. Tricia was a great host! We really hope that we can come back soon!

A group of 5 gals loved spending the weekend at this family-friendly beach house. Sunsets were gorgeous off their dock. This host has literally thought of and anticipated anything guests may need. We enjoyed this so much.

Myself, my mother and my three children stayed for 6 nights at Sally’s place. We loved our stay. We were a short drive to Nickelodeon Universe, but most importantly the lake views were just as wonderful as I had imagined. We ate breakfast every morning on the patio overlooking the lake. My children loved swimming in the lake off the little sandy beach area. Sally took my three children for a ride in the paddle boat and they loved it. My children loved talking with Sally. Don’t miss out on the relaxing scenery.

The group had a great time. We had an issue where a guest stumbled with their luggage and a wall was scraped and dented. Sara's only concern was that the individual was ok. Hopefully she would have us back in the future as i would like to bring my wife's family there but i could understand if she did not not want us. I feel badly for the damage and would like to make it right. Great place and it will be worth your money. Great fishing in a canoe just a few houndred feet from the dock. Matt

The River Cabin is a clean, tastefully decorated, cozy cabin in beautiful surroundings. Emily's check in instructions were clear and easy, and she was super responsive about a question I had, solving the issue quickly. I especially enjoyed all the windows, river view, walking trails, and the fireplace. I would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay. It was nice to get early checkin and checkout was really easy (no extensive cleaning, etc.) kitchen had everything we needed.

It was a beautiful little location, right on the apple river! Honestly it was more than we were expecting, it was perfectly located, only 20 minutes from willow river and 15 minutes from stillwater! A beautiful little hidden gem without being too far!
