This was a very comfortable stay of 11 days for us. The apartment is spacious. clean, and feels very comfortable right from the outset. It has a well-stocked kitchen and all the amenities and appliances you will need for either a short or long stay. We did a lot of cooking ourselves, but there is also a very nice pub a short walk away. Also the bus takes you straight into the center of Durham from the pub. The area around is pleasant but there isn't much to do except walk and enjoy the countryside, which is very pleasant. The bed was comfy, and the pillows were new (although too soft for us, but thats just personal preference). Overall it was a great stay and well worth the price. The owner was helpful and communicated well, the wifi was good, and the couches comfortable. We would both return and recommend the apartment.

Clean, warm, comfortable room right around the corner from the station with a lot of amenities. Walls are a little thin but any noise wasn't enough to keep me awake or anything. Absolutely did the job.

Another lovely stay at this wonderful apartment. It is so quiet and relaxing yet only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Durham and very close to the Cathedral. The apartment was spotless and stylishly and very comfortably furnished. The kitchen has everything you could need to cater for yourselves but with a bakery on your doorstep and pubs, restaurants and a Tesco and a Greggs only a few mins walk away theres plenty of choice if you preferred not to cook. Chris & Wendy provide lots of extras on arrival such as bread, croissants, biscuits, eggs, Tiptree jams, milk, orange juice, butter, Prosecco & Lindt chocolates. There is a coffee machine with a huge choice of coffee capsules to choose from and it is so nice to sit on the balcony over the river with a morning coffee watching the wildlife and the river flowing by. We cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough and are looking forward to returning again next year for an even longer stay.

Deborah communicated really well and the apartment was clean and tidy. It had a beautiful dreamy view over the river. The location was perfect with a fabulous patisserie shop on the corner. Hopefully, I will return soon.

I loved my time back Gillian & Paul's flat! This is my second visit and won't be my last. Gillian (and Paul!) are really kind and responsive hosts. They were happy to head over to support for the slightest inconvenience. The property was clean and tidy. I was really happy here :) The property is really convenient - the shopping centre is directly opposite and there is free parking nearby (if there is space). It's just a few minutes walk to the beaches!

Fantastic couple of days away. The cottage and farm were so quiet and peaceful, kitchen and lounge was clean and usable with lovely high ceilings. Bedroom large and airy. Really enjoyed our stay and would come again. Perfect for the Dog too.

We stayed here for the first time last year whilst visiting family and have been back multiple times since. We will continue to stay here as it is clean and spacious and David is an extremely responsive host.

Absolutely beautiful apartment in a great location.

Nice and cosy flat. Very clean, nice comfortable bedroom, lovely modern bathroom. Host Rachael was very helpful, very quick to respond. Minor tiff- house difficult to locate, even with map. My parents searched for hours and were quite tired before I arrived to help. But I don’t thinks that’s the hosts’ fault. Greta experience, will use again. Thank you

Excellent accomodation and great spot for exploring Durham and it's sights. After a drive to the accommodation we didn't spot that parking in that area is permit only and so we got a fine. Parking was at the end of the street on the main road so that's an additional cost to be aware of. All in all great accomodation and a great location.
