Lovely house, very comfortable, warm and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay. In a great location only 10 minutes away from Durham and easy to find. The rooms were all spacious, the bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath was a bonus, I had a very enjoyable soak. Tom left very generous welcome gifts. We would definitely stay there again. This house is in an excellent location, with a supermarket nearby and a beautiful green field just across the road, perfect for enjoying stunning sunrises and sunsets. We spent a wonderful Chinese New Year here, and it truly felt like home. The décor is stylish and cosy, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are excellent, especially the well-equipped kitchen, which made cooking effortless with just our own ingredients. Our host, Rosaline, was incredibly kind and responsive, always quick to assist, ensuring a smooth and stress-free stay. Her thoughtfulness made our experience even better. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great spot! The location could not have been more perfect for walking to family members in the area and shopping. House was ideal for our family of 4. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home as we were so far away from Arizona. House was very clean as well. Thank you for being so responsive.

Absolutely outstanding accommodation that was immaculate. Beds were super comfy, a real home away from home. Joanne was very friendly and had great communication. Asda is in within waking distance and lots to do locally. You will not be disappointed with this accommodation :)

Second visit to David’s place and it’s such a brilliant spot for when visiting Darlington and working at the Hippodrome. We’ll be back I’m sure.

Gorgeous caravan, very clean with a lot of amenities to use. good area with a lot to do surrounding the caravan, responsive host with clear instructions.

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

We loved the remoteness of the cottage, the peace & quiet. Loved the pool & hot tub which is a must if we don't stay coastal.You definitely need a car to access any shops as the nearest shop is 2.3 miles and this closes at 5. No pubs within walking distance and some pubs only opened certain days and opened at 6. However that's what makes the place attractive & peaceful. Lots of places to visit with 10 mile radius. Great walks and historical sites to see. Beautiful landscape. Cottage was very snug & comfortable.

We had a lovely few days away here, we especially enjoyed the large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge space. We relaxed in the evenings and made the most of the lovely accomodation and spent our days exploring places we had not been to before. We did Holy Island and other stops along the coastal road and had a day in Newcastle. We drove to the metro centre and got the train in which was very easy to do. Helpful and friendly host, thank you for the treats and eggs on arrival. We would recommend a stay here to anyone interested 😊

Beautifully appointed house ideally situated for walking into Barnard Castle. Extremely clean and comfortably furnished. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. Plenty of space for everyone, with an extra tv room on the ground floor, ideal for kids film time whilst the adults enjoyed some down time. Highly recommend a stay here, Peter's an extremely good host and the chocolate brownies that were left for us were delicious! Barnard Castle and area is a lovely place to explore...

Lovely lovely warm cottage Fitted out to a very high standard and easy to park Nice pub / restaurant over the road. Apologies to guy the host, I used all your logs, the room with the log burner was such a nice room to sit in. 100% recommend.

Enjoyed a few days away over New Year with the family and had a thoroughly good time even if the weather was abysmal. The cottage is remote from the local village, which is exactly what we liked. The views over the hills were amazing, and my 2 year old loved being surrounded by sheep in neighbouring fields. The house was spotless, and had everything you could need. The log burner was used every night, and Gareth even left the first batch of logs and coal (we took more as we knew we would be using it.). Gareth is a brilliant host, good communication, friendly and very helpful when we had a slight issue with the internet (although it was world ending for my 12 year old). Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get away to a beautiful part of the country.

Lovely caravan , quiet surroundings . Couple of small issues but Andy was there in a matter of minutes to help sort . The dogs loved the secure garden area . Will definitely book again.

This was a last minute booking to visit a sick family member. Kendra went above and beyond to help and made us feel welcome. The house is beautifully decorated and stylishly furnished. It is convenient for the town centre with lots of great restaurants and bars. There are nice parks nearby for walks with dogs or children. The little touches make such a difference too, such as essential breakfast items and cakes for a treat as well as a lovely selection of teas and coffee. I would highly recommend this house and Kendra is a superb host.

Had a great stay at Andrew's and Fiona's place. Fiona greeted us and showed us around and took the time to introduce her lovely dog blue to our dog. she also took the time to explain local walking routes and recommended some restaurants. The cabin is lovely and tucked away in a corner, with adorable garden lights around the pergola and hot tub. The Airbnb had everything you might need and so much more, like binoculars for star gazing and little chocolates. We had a great and relaxing stay. Would love to come again.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!
