Pete’s castle was a real treat! Such a unique stay. Pete was a wonderful host, and is a true artist. We enjoyed hearing the history of the castle and its renovation. His description of the place is accurate - it is rustic. As long as you know what to expect you will enjoy this chance to stay in a beautiful, very old building.

Alan's place is accurately described. It is a work in progress in some areas but it was still well worth the stay. The castle is quite unique, and Alan was extremely friendly.

Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. We had an absolutely amazing stay. When we arrived, the fire was already burning, and the table was set—it felt truly majestic walking into the castle at that moment. There are countless details to discover, and when you see the pictures of how the castle looked in the 1970s, you can’t help but admire the incredible work the owners have done. A huge thank you to Annemarie and Christopher for making this possible! Besides the owners, we also want to mention Geraldine and Tina. Geraldine, a friend of the owners, gave us a warm welcome, and everything was perfectly prepared. She is a charming person and a great help if you need recommendations for the area. Tina is the go-to person for catering—her food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend reaching out to her if you don’t feel like cooking. All in all, this place is truly unique and highly recommended. If you see it available, don’t hesitate to book—it’s an experience you won’t regret!

A bucket list thing to stay on our own private castle 3 couples stayed for 2 nights and arriving at night in the dark added to the haunted feel of the place. Comfortable furnishings but chilly in mid March but the warm welcoming fireplace made up for the chill. The place had all the amenities we needed including washer. Plenty of games and costumes to have fun. Restaurants were a 15 minute drive and were delicious. Yes the stairs are tougher for older or mobility challenged but as long as you make sure you carry up everything you need not bad. Leave suitcases on first floor. Everyone in our group said the castle was a highlight of the trip. Jade was quick to answer our texts. We came late at night do we didn’t meet them but the key was available. We did not see Red Mary even though we kept asking her to haunt us

This was such a lovely experience during our trip to Ireland. The host was so nice and gave us a tour when we arrived. The coffee and breakfast treats in the morning were so nice as well. Overall would definitely recommend

This was easily the highlight stay of our trip. The castle is genuinely stunning and magical. The hosts were absolutely friendly and so passionate about the property! Not only was the room decorated with so much intention, but the entire grounds, too! I cannot recommend this place enough! We will be back for SURE!

A magical stay in a friendly place, filled with history. An unforgettable experience.

Very comfortable place to stay. Clean, warm, spacious and in an absolutely fabulous location for walks and exploring Connemara. Ballynahinch Castle in walking distance for a lovely meal out, although best to drive (4min) in the evening as the roads/pathways are unlit.

My partner and I traveled across Ireland for our honeymoon and our stay at Claregalway Castle was by far and away the best accommodations we had. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel like we were in a 5 star hotel and were extremely accommodating. The grounds were immaculate and the castle on the premises was one of the coolest things we saw for the duration of our trip. Every amenity and last detail was considered and the beds were extremely comfortable. We cannot recommend Claregalway Castle enough!
