Vinnie’s cottage offered a very peaceful experience in the countryside of Galway. The cottage was well heated against the cold Winter, and has two lovely fireplaces. Vinnie was very responsive to any queries and maintenance inquiries. I would high recommend this stay.

Il paese è molto carino, il Castello limitrofo è uno spettacolo. In conclusione, un'esperienza estremamente positiva e la casa di Annette è promossa a pieni voti (All'interno della casa c'è un camino che rende l'atmosfera molto confortevole e piacevole). A beautiful and cozy tiny house with wonderful hosts! We loved the peaceful surroundings, stunning sunsets, and the sweet visits from Luna. We can’t wait to come back!

The apartment was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. We were a little concerned about the detailed instructions to get in but once we arrived and followed the instructions it was well explained and easy. It was a bit cold when we arrived as the heating wasn't on correctly but Carola had warned us and explained that we would need to turn the radiators up, which we did but a couple of them did not seem to work. Luckily, the weather had gone from Arctic conditions to above freezing so not such a problem! The TV had been unplugged from the Eir box but we plugged it back in and all was fine. Also, the wifi dropped out one night and hadn't come back on in the morning so had to contact Carola again to get that reset. We cooked meals and found the kitchen well equipped for our culinary needs. The area is lovely and serene and the local village is nice. Aside from the few minor inconveniences, overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

The accommodation was clean, tidy, presentable and very comfortable, it came with all the necessities. Catherine was a lovely host and she welcomed us with her home made scones which were delicious. Catherine is very friendly and helpful. We loved her hospitality. The house is private and comes with a beautiful surroundings with beautiful animals all around. We will definitely revisit. Beautiful view over Lough Corrib. Added bonus of being able to take a rowing boat out on the lake. Garden is well maintained and mature. Hugh is very responsive and helpful with lots of tips on what to see and do. A very enjoyable week for us as a family.

Exceeded expectations. We felt so at home with our family of 8 adults for 2 weeks over Xmas. Mel even arranged a Xmas tree for us. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Plenty of crockery, glassware cutlery, pots pans etc for the cooks in our family. Generosity with pantry staples like herbs and spices, flour etc did not go unnoticed compared to many BnBs. Decor was amazing and house very comfy even in winter when the wind was howling outside. Beautiful Omey Island and beach on the doorstep. Stunning sunsets and beach walking. So much to see and do in local area it is a great location to reach Connemara National Park, Galway, Aran Islands but is also very private and relaxing. Just what we all needed. Communication was great and friendly. Would highly recommend and if we are ever back in the area would stay again. Thank you Mel for making Nora’s Cottage such wonderful place for our family to be united from around the world for Xmas & New Year 2024/25.

The cottage is in a rural area, very beautiful and quiet, with woods and meadows nearby; it is spacious, with a large living room and a lovely veranda overlooking the lawn. Sally was a helpful and very courteous host. It was a perfect stay.
