We enjoyed our time in Ireland and were happy to have a quiet home away from home to relax in the evenings. James was a great host. Very accommodating and friendly. He gave us lots of advice on things to do and see around Monaghan and in both Northern Ireland and the Republic. The Irish were very friendly and helpful to visitors. Beautiful country!!! Thank you

Lir Lodge was as delightful in winter as it was last spring. Can't thank Anna and Joe enough for the place being decorated for Christmas. Helped make our Christmas away from home so special. It was wonderful to arrive so late at night to a warm and welcome space. (We got caught up in the Holyhead problem!). The house is wonderful and suited all of us so well. The children recognised where they were and made themselves at home immediately.

Laura is a super hostess! She has been easy to communicate with and very helpful. We felt right at home here. The home was very clean, super comfy and very accessible to the local town. We highly recommend Laura and her home. Thanks so much Laura!

Cosy and welcoming , the winter weather stopped us from exploring the grounds more as we weren't prepared but would love to explore in summer time too . Nice post Xmas chillax

Sabina and David’s place was something else! We stayed here for one night, they couldn’t have been more helpful. It was a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and they put up banners and balloons, lovely touch. The cottages were beautiful inside and out. So informative and helpful no question or need was too big of a hassle for them. The outdoor cooking area has everything you need. The spa facilities were amazing and the views out onto the lake were beautiful. So relaxing and peaceful. Will definitely be back in the future.

We loved staying here. Everything was perfect for us and Colin was always very helpful. It is a very peaceful place. Great facilities and location too. We Highly recommend.

Catherine was very helpful and responsive. Gave us great recommendations about restaurants and groceries shops near by. The cottage is lovely. It totally matches the pictures. The landscape is amazing. Definitely would come back

This cottage is secluded and gave us a much needed break. Our hire car sat nav didn’t like the coordinates provided but Jackie couldn’t have been more helpful in directing us in. The cottage is off the beaten track but we could easily walk to the Castle. I particularly enjoyed taking my morning cuppa down to the lake. We found the shower fine as family. The beds were hugely comfortable. If you do stay, try to visit Ambledown Cottage for dinner. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
