My Husband and I rented this place for an early Christmas present to both of us. It was very private. Very simple living, nothing fancy, but clean. The bathroom was very small, so was the bedrooms but still clean and private. If you're wanting fancy, this is not the place. But it was private, lots of wild life around, good for fishing in the pond. Great firepit, peaceful too. The only thing that I would improve on is updating. Maybe get Wifi or cable, appliances, and better mattresses. Plus the bathroom is very small, only one person at a time. It remines me of a hunting cabin. But both of us enjoyed the cute cabin and would rent again.

Dave and Wendy were extremely easy to work with, they were responsive and were able to work with me about check-in. The place is beautiful and secluded as described and had plenty of room for our group to be able to celebrate. Our large group never felt like we were cramped even with inclement weather. Would definitely recommend it as a great place for a big family gathering, or large group of friends like we had. The out building offers plenty of space and room for activities while the lodge was comfortable and cozy!

We stayed here for the Ripken baseball tournament and it served as a peaceful respite from the days on the ball field. Julie's home, the beach and location were perfect for our family and gave us the ability to host some additional families for some down time.

I visited Kentucky for a few days with a group of friends and family and this home was the perfect stay for us. We came to visit downtown Louisville and some of the nearby distilleries. The home was the real shiner of the trip. The view of the lake every morning was beautiful, the pool table and games kept us entertained, the kitchen was large, and the hot tub was great for the cool weather. Everything about this house was perfect for my group and would definitely recommend it to those wanting to have somewhere comfortable and spacious for visiting this area.

We went to the Polar Express in French Lick. It was an easy 10 minute ride from the cabin to the railway. The place had a Christmas tree the the outside was also decorated, which fit the whole Christmas theme. There were 4 adults and 2 children, we had plenty of room. We will be back for a summer weekend!
